Lovely to see them, I think that this is the most 'normal' I've ever seen them look!

I'm a huge Kate fan and she definitely looks like she's been through the mill, but they seem to be making the best of it.

I think they look great, more natural less staged.

The trolling and the nasty speculation was horrendous but hopefully the massive show of support from the public will have comforted her. The standing ovation at Wimbledon was lovely.

I think her hair looks thinner BUT that is because she is probs away from her blowdryer/stylist.

I think it's interesting that Wills is unshaven - I wonder if that is deliberate to emphasise the 'dressed down' look - and to detract from her less polished appearance. A kind of, hey we're all casual here, so nothing to see....

Both looked great I thought, relaxed, a bit dishevelled in a holiday way, actually loved seeming them looking so natural and ungroomed. I didn’t get fragile at all!

She looks how I assume she looks in much of her private life. Ditto her husband.

When they're on 'display' they are obviously coutured within an inch of their lives.

They've chosen to put out a genuine message and I think it's lovely.

Hopefully gives a taste of what their reign will be about.

As someone about to undergo treatment for cancer, I hope i look as half as good that Kate does six months in.

There's no reason for William to have attended the Paris Olympics. Sophie and Ann attended in their respective official roles within relevant sporting bodies (hockey and the IOC). We don't field a football team for the Olympics, which would have been William's purview. I assume a dignitary can't just turn up, they have to be invited by the host nation and security etc put in place. I doubt Macron would have wanted to be overshadowed by young, male British royalty.

Anyway, lovely to see W&C thanking our incredible Team GB, alongside all the others in that video. Snoop Dog had been quite the star of these Olympics in his own right too, what a wonderful sense of humour he has, and good of him to give a shout out to William and Catherine (although I am waiting for the SS to claim he meant the other prince and his wife).

Other royal families don't tend to have a media circus around them. Therein lies the difference. And nobody said "threatened".

Probably because there never is, because they never get the attention they deserve for the work that they do. Willam's every move is tracked by international media, and we all know why that has been particularly acute over the last couple of years.

Kate is obviously not well. It’s strange Kate made an appearance as the press were leaving them alone and affording them the privacy they need. Now it’s back to speculation about her health, her hair and even her ring.

🤷‍♀️ I think they both look absolutely fine. We’re used to seeing Kate extremely made-up and blow-dried. It’s nice to see her less ‘done’. She looks younger and fresher, and healthy. People seem to want to see something that’s not there.

They made an appearance to congratulate team GB. Presumably because they wanted to and thought it was an appropriate thing to do. The press and those on social media who like to declare that they can tell the state of their health / marriage / privacy requirements etc on the basis of a short video clip, are not their problem

🤷‍♀️ This is the RF board. Isn't that literally the point? Commenting about the Royals? Of COURSE the RF know exactly how this photo will be received and analysed. It won't come as a shock-horror to them.

(It is remarkable, as in, it is to be remarked on -checks am in RF topic - that William appears unshaven here. Even in family holiday snaps we don't see this, so this might be a deliberate choice to send a message of 'dressing down' for both of them)
