Maverick Harry

I’ve been following as best I can all the tea on the maverick prince aka Harry. I thought I would do a poll, a not very scientific one. 😊

I don't think he is a maverick at all, royal history is littered with entitled spares causing problems for themselves and those around them.

I don't like him very much but I feel sorry for anyone who is stuck in unhealthy patterns as I believe he is.

He's got the money, means and time to break the "patterns". There are none, or it's too lucrative not to break them.

Exactly. Totally lacking in self-awareness, all the moaning about how it's not fair that he had to play second-fiddle to his big brother also shows he's not very bright. The problem is that also he's married to someone who is egging him on rather than helping him deal with his issues.

I just find it fascinating that they don't want to be working royals etc etc. theh have rebranded themselves and their site to highlight the royal lineage. Prince and princess hetc all over the place. No more "just call me Harry" it seems?
I know they aren't Mr and Mrs whatever,and their title is Prince Whatever. Just strikes as odd they're leaning on it after the public criticism.

they have made such an utter mess, and it does seem like it’s only going to get worse as their desperation kicks in.

I think it's pretty clear he has never got over his Mum's death and this has created some really unhealthy behaviours and attitudes. All the money in the world doesn't help if your therapist is useless, or you are afraid to do the hard work of therapy.

Oh my god, the awards! 🤣 So true, why is he always getting these celebrity awards?.

I read the account of someone who was a teenager when his mother was murdered by the Yorkshire Ripper. Apart from people reporting horrible things about his mother etc, he had to build up his life, no money, no privilege.
So many people like this. No titles, no privilege, have to work, have to wait for NHS treatment. I have no respect for a prince like this, or his greedy wife.

I imagine they thought that moving to America was going to be very different, they would be showered with money and thought of as ‘American Royalty’. It’s not happened though. It won’t happen.

I feel like the Harry I saw for decades wasn’t the real Harry and the RF did a great job at hiding his true personality, spoilt and entitled.

@PrincessMee . Any legend in their own mind would be proud to receive the golden sausage! To paraphrase Harry, they’d be dining out on it forever!

If nothing else, he has shown the the men in grey suits he hates so much were very good at managing his PR. Now no one can force him to listen to advice and he is making a mess of it.

He is no more ‘maverick’ than I am Goose.

Two great points, particularly the second one. He was so much better off within the family and all the levels of protection that gave him.

He and Meghan could have been like Princess Anne - she did not give her children titles and they seem to be quite balanced adults with private lives. As someone not directly in line for the throne you can get all the advantages without the major pressure. He could have reframed his life in a very positive way.

l do think a different wife could have steered him in this direction and could have supported him in dealing with his mental health issues rather than goading him on.
