I would wholeheartedly agree with your friend bits very different to Chatsworth or most of the other big houses as the Georgians didn’t get at it. It’s grand but still feels quite homely iyswim. It must’ve felt very grand at the time it was built. And having your initials on top of your house is pretty cool 😆

Do you go up some steps and under an arch to get into Hardwick? That should pinpoint it easily!!!! I think I might have been there. If not it was another place in the middle of the country. I'm being flippant.

Ahhh they have followed up the Fathers Day photo with a photo from the front. The four of them jumping down the sand dune. It's full of joy but I'm sure the squad will find fault with it.

I love this photo, such fun.

CremeFresh · 21/06/2024 10:44

It's a lovely photo

Uricon2 · 21/06/2024 10:47

That is a smashing photo, thanks for sharing @ThePoshUns

LaMarschallin · 21/06/2024 11:09

I love that!

Also it's extremely clever.

The SS are so predicable with their "impolite to return their their backs on the camera; how do we know it's them yadda yadda".
Kate and William obviously foresaw all of that and held back until...

Jump! I know my heart can make you happy...etc 🎶

Abouttimeforanamechange · 21/06/2024 12:15

I just came to see if anyone had commented on the new photo yet.

It's George's eleventh birthday soon, I wonder wheither we'll get another image from the same day, or something different.

Thedom · 21/06/2024 12:15

Love it, what a great photo !

Seems they spend plenty of time at the local beaches, wonderful as kids to have a beach like that so close.

We have a similar picture of us jumping over the dunes as bairns.

It is a delightful picture. What a day out at the beach should be. Joyful, happy and the chance to be a bit silly and caper.

Mylovelygreendress · 21/06/2024 13:10

What a lovely photo . Wonder what some posters will find to criticise ??

What a great photo. Oh I guess they went back and redid it because some people on MN didn't like the other one 😂

crumblingschools · 21/06/2024 14:54

They are wearing different clothes so either one has been photoshopped or it wasn't them in the first one - joke! Obviously, taken on a different day

IsoldeWagner · 21/06/2024 16:20

What a gorgeous picture! Such joie de vivre!
Lovely family.

IsoldeWagner · 21/06/2024 16:24

No doubt some posters will be critical because it's a photograph in mid air: "the late Queen would have been quite horrified!"

Well she “jumped out of an aeroplane” with James Bond. Can’t get more mid air than that 😂😂

Uricon2 · 21/06/2024 16:32

The expression on William's face is utterly priceless😂

No doubt some posters will be critical because it's a photograph in mid air: "the late Queen would have been quite horrified!"

It's always funny when posters allegedly get their panties in a bundle on the late queen's behalf to criticise other members of the RF; 'this will bring down the monarchy!' and 'OMG, fancy letting the queen see/do that!' has been pronounced for things like Pss Margaret being photographed in the bath wearing nothing but her tiara, to pictures of the queen with her hands in her pockets, shock horror and her watching semi-naked dancers on a royal tour.

From what I've heard of her she had a very good sense of humour and would have loved these pictures.

IsoldeWagner · 21/06/2024 16:51

She had a great sense of humour, lots of examples given, not least the James Bond sketch, and Paddington.
I think there are a few uptight folks on here! 😂

I don’t like the pic. Distasteful.

How in the name of all that's holy is this "distasteful"???!!!
