So if you trust that statement, maybe you can trust these parents - who know their children very well and clearly run a close family unit - not to be forcing their children to do things they don't want to do and don't enjoy.

I trust you are kidding?

crumblingschools · 15/06/2024 12:35

The children seemed happy. Don’t think they were unhappy to be there

Kidding about what?

@BlueParrotRedParrot

Some preconditions for the eventual development of patriarchy were the emergence of increased paternal investment in the offspring, also referred to as fatherhood, and of a sexual division of labour. Several researchers have stated that the first signs of a sexual division of labour dates from around 2 million years ago, deep within humanity's evolutionary past

Username1010 · 15/06/2024 12:38

Where are Beatrice, Eugenie and William?

Who is on the balcony?

Lady Louise Sophie and duke of Kent I think on balcony

Louis is gonna be the cheeky chappy of the family forever more isn’t he.

I can see in 12 year pictures of him stumbling out night clubs half cut 😂

That's exactly what Harry was the archetypal cheeky chappy and we know how that ended .... 😆

Willmafrockfit · 15/06/2024 12:40

Beatrice and Eugenie don't take part in this

Right. So apes, then. And this has what to do with Trooping the Colour?

JewelleryCat · 15/06/2024 12:41

Sophie, Louise, Anne’s husband, Duke of Kent and Duke of Gloucester on the balcony. William, Edward and Anne were on the horses

William was on horseback.

it was only working royals, plus lady Louise and the wales children, in the carriage procession. Wouldn’t be entirely surprised if that was the same on the balcony

Big yawn there 🥱🤣

Yes - I think we can safely predict which image will be on the front of the papers tomorrow!

Couldn’t they have gathered up a few to make it look more like a family occasion? Beatrice and Eugenie and their kids?

But it isn't a family occasion. It is a state occasion. Hence only working royals.

JewelleryCat · 15/06/2024 12:44

Like someone said above, I think it’s just working royals that go on the balcony so Beatrice and Eugenie won’t be there. Same with Andrew etc

Making it a family occasion makes Andrew a problem.

Making it working royals means there are zero questions about who should and shouldn’t be included

BemusedAmerican · 15/06/2024 12:45

When Louis grows up to be the next David Attenborough, takes over Highgrove, and makes documentaries about bees, people on here will realize you can't prejudge a child based on a photo. 😁😁😁

Username1010 · 15/06/2024 12:45

It’ seems a bit forlorn tbh. No wonder Kate needed to make an appearance.

Willmafrockfit · 15/06/2024 12:47

How can you say forlorn, did you ignore all the horses and soldiers and all the colours?

ARichtGoodDram · 15/06/2024 12:47

I think the King can’t win really.

Have loads of people involved and people complain about the number in the family, “thought he was slimming it down” and the costs. Have just the working royals involved and people complain it doesn’t look busy enough.

You do seem a bit forlorn. Good that Catherine has made appearance and cheered you!

LivelyBlake · 15/06/2024 12:47

amazing scenes, rain and all

Catherine to attend event tomorrow
smilesy · 15/06/2024 12:47

The Mall looks pretty full. So much for thin crowds. In the pissing rain too
