Prince William on His Majesty’s Secret Service

So according to reports PW has visited one of the secret intelligence services this week. I’d like to have been a fly on the wall. I wonder if the subject of Harry came up? If it did he may have something to talk to his bro about. As Harry reads just about everything he can online if he saw this he may have picked up the phone himself and called PW.

I do think Harry is genuinely interested in Invictus. If Meghan could find something she really feels passionte about and focus on that it would help their PR enormously. Genuine interest is easy to spot, as is the opposite.

Meghan is really only passionate about Meghan

Hallamlass · 15/06/2024 13:49

"standing in solidarity with the people of Ukraine" 😂
Yes, weren't they going to be at the forefront of equity (?) with the roll out of the vaccine?.
Whatever happened to 40x40? et al

Oooh. Somehow, I think if PW were to swallow his ego and make a call it would be the best thing for the two brothers.

I think that ship has sailed. PH has crossed lines he can’t come back from. I say this as someone whose sibling has acted similarly, and even though they didn’t publish a whole book about it, it is a dreadful thing to go through. Far more than recollections may vary’ just outright lies. Oh, and also influenced by a partner who helped them ‘see the truth’. Truth was, they were a younger spoilt child who (whilst still in their 50’s and childless with good jobs) took money (tens of thousands) from our elderly parents to fund a lifestyle they couldn’t afford and when it was discovered, tried to suggest there was ‘nothing to see here’. There is more than one side to a story whether in print or not.

PW is not wrong.

SonicTheHodgeheg · 15/06/2024 13:53

I‘m confused why some outlets are reporting this story. I always imagined the PoW having regular meeting with MI5 in the same way that the Leader of the Opposition or the PM might have meetings too.

KindnessJunkette · 14/06/2024 19:47

Harry’s life. Harry can write a book. Considering he needed to earn a living outside of the fold I see no problem in writing about what happened to him.

His immigration lawyers are hinting that Spare isn’t 100% accurate and shouldn’t be taken at face value - especially on the drugs angle.

I wonder what % is accurate?

Zelensky's meeting the Leaders of the G7 in Switzerland while Meghan is soft marketing luxury dog biscuits in California.

Maybe they could be iced with the colours of the Ukraine flag.

Why would PW make a call? He’s not slagged off the Sussexes to the world and any call he makes will be fed straight to the US media for content.

The brothers can only start making up if they both admit fault. Considering how many interviews etc have been had since Megxit, there’s never been any hint that Harry regrets any of his actions. It’s clearly not a case that Harry has done nothing wrong.

I bet the dogs in UKraine would appreciate the biscuits.

Of course he can write about "what happened to him" or his version of events. . Also do tv interviews, magazine interviews, a Netflix series etc. He's free to make money from invading others' privacy and being unpleasant, negative and critical of others. He's made millions from it.
Doesn't make it a decent thing to do.

He's ok invading others privacy but absolutely hates it when people invade his

Quite. The level of hypocrisy is astounding.

I enjoyed the book. 😉 I came out liking KC because of it.

Same here, @LadyPenelopeForever , and I found that I started to admire William for his dignity and forbearance.

I like them all except for Andrew.

Harry and his brother will sort themselves out in the longer term. The best thing Harry can do is buy himself a home in the UK.

I cried when W, H, M and C did the walkabout upon the Queen’s death. So sad.

I agree about having a lovely British home. I miss H in this country. The BBC coverage of Scottys Little Soldiers was great. Harry doing his thing. Went down so well. Highlights his global ambassador role too that the charity gave in 6 months ago.

I would think that their kind of extreme and threatening behaviour would be monitored.

Just as the extreme royalists and the neo Nazis are I’m sure.

OK, @DramaLlamaBangBang , you say

“the only people he is scathing about is the press”, yet by your own admission you’ve “skipped entire chapters” and “don't know where to move onto to get to the juicy stuff!”

So is it possible that you may have missed all the slagging off he does in Spare? If so, never mind, more slights and insults can be heard on the Oprah interview and the six hours or so of his and Meghan’s Netflix docu-lamentary

Slagging off? No he writes about experiences and how Meghan was received. Your term is widely inappropriate but keep on with the hate. Most of the world sees through it.

But you didn’t read it?

JennieBondandtheBiscotti · 16/06/2024 14:57

I’m not sure how ‘slagging off’ is widely inappropriate.

It is a term used often. It could be written that he was disparaging I suppose but slagging off fits fine enough with what he did.

That and lying/fibbing/speaking shite/telling porkies/talking out of his arse.

Pick the one you feel is appropriate. They are all much of a muchness.

JennieBondandtheBiscotti · 16/06/2024 15:14

I didn’t want to misquote you by the way, so I did put ‘widely inappropriate’.

I always believed the term to be ‘wildly inappropriate’ but we all have our own phrases or terms for different things.

Like slagging off, for example.

🙂I was quoting DramaLlamaBangBang, actually.

The words I chose to use are "slights and insults" and I stand by those.

"Slagging off" was used by others and I can see why. As Jennie has pointed out, it can cover quite a wide range of verbal attacks, from sly insinuations, through mild put-downs, to all-out name calling and slurs.
