I wouldn't watch a polo documentary done by Prince Harry. I only made it through 3 episodes of Harry & Meghan. I found them annoying. I did read Spare for free from my library.

I think the main reason many of those here who watched the netflix series was as a spectacle to see what “their truth” would be this time.
I don’t think most of these viewers will be interested in the pair’s thoughts on cooking, gardening and animal abuse. Seeing harry’s poor bleeding polo pony was more than enough.

I believe people were still willing to give them a hearing at the start. I don’t think the same is true any more. Now it’s all about the pratfalls.

AliceOlive · 30/05/2024 14:42

Is the support of a billionaire supposed to signify something?

I don’t think being a billionaire signifies much except ability to make and horde money. I’m not particularly keen on any of them in the news. Jeff Bezos? Kim Kardashian? Bill Gates? I wouldn’t let any of those in my front door.

AliceOlive · 30/05/2024 14:43

I would let Meghan and Harry in if they needed something, the loo or a handhold. But not for a social occasion.

Maybe it means they can tap him for a few bob if they run short 🤷‍♀️

AliceOlive · 30/05/2024 14:57

Maybe it means he thinks they can produce. We shall see.

I am anxiously waiting flor them not to just talk the talk, but to actually walk the walk.

As their past history indicates, without their royal connections, they fail to follow thru with anything of substance, and only trade on them slagging off the RF.

I don’t buy into the notion of their ‘slagging off’ the royal family. Harry and Meghan talked about their experiences and their lives.

This isn't even new. All it's doing is highlighting what M and H have not seen through. Jam anyone?

Oh gosh you are brave - Harry is full of so much 💩!

BemusedAmerican · 30/05/2024 16:02

They should consider an updated "Green Acres." Meghan making jam in ball gowns. Harry being chased by the rescue chickens. The kids tilling the strawberry fields. Harry can try to make his own wine! He can pass on the eco-wisdom that learned from Charles in his childhood at Highgrove. With a field trip to the cannabis farm next door.

So many of the actual experiences they described have been fact checked and found to be not credible.

Some they have even contradicted themselves.

Is the support of a billionaire supposed to signify something?

Free private jet flights
Free mega homes
Free holidays
Free security
10 million here and there to be used at their discretion.

am sure there a plenty more perks to ingratiating yourself to the odd billionaire.

But "their experiences and their lives" involved slagging off other people who weren't consulted about whether they wanted to be objects of gossip in this way.

In any case, now that they've talked, written and podcasted about "their experiences and their lives", it's not clear what they have left to offer.

Considering the praise the couple received do you think they will have success with the new projects?

I'm not a royal fan or watcher, so as an outsider it looks like you all are obsessed by them. It's why newspapers cover them so much, they sell units.

It's baffling why but certainly seems to be an insatiable appetite to love or hate them. Either way, people watch.

The rich don't stay rich by handing out favours to casual acquaintances.

The Forbes article was based on a talk by Sandros. Summary is that he notes that Harry and Meghan are controversial which bring viewers.

He said also nice things about their philanthropic efforts. And thinks they may have a positive impact on other celebrities.

So many of the actual experiences they described have been fact checked and found to be not credible.

Often repeated but not true. Some errors at times but considering the unrelenting microscope that is applied unnaturally to her there were bound to be some natural and harmless misremembering. Even her special moment with Harry before the wedding was blown out of proportion by the media when it decided to focus on the legal aspect as opposed to what she wanted to convey i.e. their love was real and meaningful to them both. Hence their ‘marriage’ but not a formal, legal one.

Meghan was and is allowed to speak up about her unique experience as a biracial American woman that entered a weird and antiquated royal life. She was/still is claimed to be a liar about those experiences and how her mental health was severely impacted. Lo and behold we later find out that this very topic was addressed by her to Charles in letter format. Two people were then named by the Piers creature.

The Anti Meghan Machine will continue to try and annihilate her. We seem to live in a callous post-Brexit age of wanting to destroy the first woman of colour to enter into an archaic institution steeped in a murky past of bloody imperialism. If she cannot be silenced then other means are deployed in an attempt to nullify, disparage, demean, negate and demonise her.

Well done Harry and Meghan for making a successful life beyond the Royal Institution. Whether that be the already successful book deals, shows, multiple awards, charitable endeavours, Invictus Games, family life or attracting ‘big hitters’ as friends. Network away. Everyone does it.

She said she couldn’t travel or hold on to her own passport but there is proof otherwise.

She said she couldn’t wear color but there are endless photos of her in an array of beautiful, colorful dresses.

She said she got married 3 days prior and that is just not possible.

She described events Harry told her about in a way that didn’t jive with his own description.

The list goes on endlessly.

There is no point in going over Harry’s Nonsense as he admitted his memory is not intact.

They may or may not believe their own inaccurate musings, but since they are wrong so often people began to view everything they say with skepticism.

Tyler Perry was happy to send his private jet to pick them up in Canada, cover their security costs, give them a huge house to live in, when he had never even met them. Most of their private jet flights have been gifted to them. Free house from the russian billionaire in Vancouver. The two big donations to Archewell reportedly came from Oprah.

Not sure if they are still getting handouts from those people now, they still seem to be accepting handouts from billionaires, although a bit more sketchy now.

Do you think these people wanted nothing in return for their 'generosity'?

What successes have they had which are entirely unrelated to the 'Royal Institution'?

AliceOlive · 30/05/2024 16:56

Also, if you send your friends to the media constantly, write books, film yourself talking about yourself, etc, it’s not really valid to complain about people paying attention.

If you run up and down the street naked yelling look at me, it’s would weird to complain that you were held under a microscope just because people noticed it.

Serenster · 30/05/2024 16:57

There were bound to be some natural and harmless misremembering..

Like completely forgetting you have drafted several pages of notes for a journalist writing a book about you, so he’ll have details of your family and your views on them, to put into his book. Then specifically instructing one of your team to meet with him and pass the notes on. But somehow when asked by the court if you’d passed information onto the journalist for his book, you inexplicably can’t recall it at all and vehemently deny having done so?

Meghan and Harry both have exhibited a complete disregard for telling the truth many many times. It’s not harmless misremembering, no matter how you try to spin it.

Of course they did ! no free lunch as they say. Oprah got her interview, Tyler Perry gets to publicly bad mouth the RF.

The CEO of Peace air is now using them for advertising that he could never have bought in a million years. H&M know no bounds when it comes to accepting lucrative gifts thanks to their Royal titles. Reminiscent of Uncle Andy.
