Part 6 of positive threads, delving into all things Meghan and Harry. Whether it’s the causes they support, their business initiatives, or Meghan’s fashion choices (Harry’s too, on occasion 😉), there’s plenty to discuss Just a pro-tip - that there may be use of MLE terms and discussions of dupes - you might want to exit stage left if these things offend. This is a relatively drama free zone - let’s keep things light! Clinking a glass of lemonade 🥂 to @queentim for the original inspiration.

It’s just ludicrous to suggest that it’s “bashing” to say that a woman going braless and showing that much skin is inappropriate for an event at a school with young children.

That’s not “bashing”. It’s common sense. Anyone who feels Meghan should be held to a different standard than any other woman on the planet would be should think about why they feel this way. It’s not a kindness to have lower expectations for her.

What was that word that Scobie used. Infantilising……
Between that and the stepford wife ARO stuff, I think Scobie was talking about the wrong person!

How do you know? Did you see the designer speak somewhere about this?

The designers’s website. So technically, yes, I guess.

😉

Amen.

Speaking of which, Scotty's Little Soldiers is my absolute fave non-profit that Harry is global sponsor for.

People often don't think about what life is like for children who have lost parents to war. Shining the spotlight on them, and even just turning up to play with them, as Harry seems to do every single year he's been patron without fail, is just good philanthropy.

The BBC footage of Harry's most recent visit (which they got as an exclusive) says it all: smiling faces all around.

Well done Harry! 😎

Yes, well done that man!

I read this earlier. I had to smile as Meghan was paid a compliment!

“…and Meghan Markle, who, whatever else you can say about her, can outshine every other woman on any scene, will not be there either.”

Prince Harry and Prince William can't attend the same wedding? How ridiculous

It’s a conundrum for the social experts, the likes of Debrett’s or the late arbiter of etiquette, Emily Post: you are close friends with two royal princes and godfather to their sons. Which of the two do you have to your wedding, given that if you hav...

"In granting permission for an appeal, Judge David Bean said he was persuaded, “not without hesitation”, that Harry’s challenge on the grounds that RAVEC had not followed its own stated policy had a real prospect of success."

Tee-hee 😆

MummyJ12 · 06/06/2024 18:47

Oh great, even more tax payers money wasted on this vanity case. Costs for which he’ll be expecting us to pay for most if not all of.

MummyJ12 · 06/06/2024 18:59

“not without hesitation”,

You do realise that this is a fancy way of saying, with hesitation don’t you? 😂 meaning that the Judge isn’t saying at all that this is going to be a sure win for Harry.

Noooooooo waaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy!!!???

That one deserves a Mensa award. No doubt.

MummyJ12 · 06/06/2024 19:27

@TallerSally Just interesting for you to quote the judge when the judge obviously had reservations…..it was as if you had interpreted it (wrongly) to be a done deal. Tee-hee 😆

Oh, thanks ever so much for letting me know how I am interpreting things!!

Perhaps there's something else you can help me with, while you're being so helpful. I recall something about a saying... hole... digging... was it stop... or carry on???

MummyJ12 · 06/06/2024 19:33

Maybe not come across in your posting as though you need these things pointing out 😂

AnnieSF · 07/06/2024 00:39

@Tizzwazz MM can outshine any other woman ? I don't think so 😂 Is she having to stay away from a wedding because she is just so stunnnnning or because her husband is a knob?

I’m guessing from this post that TallerSally isn’t aware that a case having “real prospects of success” is the wording of the test a judge has to apply when deciding if an application for permission to appeal to be granted.

So the quote posted isn’t remotely saying that the judge thinks Harry has a strong case. He’s saying he had some doubts his case meets the threshold for an appeal - but has allowed it nonetheless.

Oooooh, how lovely, more lecturing, ludicrous assumptions and motherhood and apple pie!

Entertaining.

Actually just clarifying the judicial wording that you appear to have misunderstood. No need for the snide snipes.

Actually, just clarifying that I haven't misunderstood anything, and there is nothing in my post that suggests that I have.

No need for the arrogant man/womansplaining.

Gorgonemilezola · 07/06/2024 11:02

Oh, I don't know, I think your 'tee-hee😆' suggests you think Harry's got one over the verdict, when in fact that's not the case at all. I'm surprised his legal team haven't suggested he re-think. Or maybe they have and he's ignoring them. Or maybe they just see the £££££££.

Serenster · 07/06/2024 11:02

Why the “Tee-hee 😆” though, if you had indeed understood that the Judge was not expressing a view that Prince Harry had a strong case?

AnnieSF · 07/06/2024 12:10

What does " motherhood and apple pie" have to do in here?

I mean if it was jam then maybe....

It's a strange turn of phrase to use on a mums site...it almost makes me think that ............... now that would be just silly to think that 😂

WibblyWobblyJane · 07/06/2024 12:12

Hmmm

WibblyWobblyJane · 07/06/2024 12:14

And what is “womansplaining”?

In that when a woman who is an expert in a particular topic explains it to a man who has exhibited confusion? Because, how dare a woman know such things?

AnnieSF · 07/06/2024 12:15

WibblyWobblyJane · 07/06/2024 12:12

Hmmm

It's like an insult used against women ?

Well I read your “tee hee” post as though you thought this meant that the appeal
was bound to succeed. So don't post ambiguously if you object to having things explained when posters think you are labouring under a misapprehension 🤷‍♀️
