William Threatened Tatler and Camilla's niece help plant story

WhatAreThey · 24/04/2024 12:27

In the audio, the journo explains what happened when she referred to Kate as being thin.
William rang Tatler and The Daily Mail, arranged lunch with them and his staff to plant stories.
Camilla's niece who works at Tatler helped him twisted the true position to be favourable to William and Kate.

She says no British print media is allowed to say anything negative about Kate or William. The negative stories must be about Harry and Meghan.

Yes I would very much like an example of William, Kate, Sophie, Edward etc being racists, video or audio would be particularly welcome just like we have for Harry, looking forward to being able to dissect the evidence.

Don't hold your breath.

Here's a question. If Harry feels that the royal family is such a toxic, racist shit show, why doesn't he take himself out of the line of succession and ask for his children not to be made part of any of it?

He kind of has though, by distancing himself from the UK and not allowing his children to be photographed fully?

You can’t “kind of” take yourself out of the line of succession! You are either in or out and as for keeping the kids out the limelight, well I wouldn’t hold your breath, they will be merching them soon enough, I think they have purchased the ‘Lilibet’s closet’ domain so time will tell.

Yes tumbleweed ……..as per usual.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 28/04/2024 00:58

Er no, he has not done anything of the sort. Neither of those things is giving up his titles which he trades on and monetises in every aspect of his life, nor is moving to the States and not allowing his children to be photographed taking himself and his children out of the line of succession. He could do all of these things very easily. So why doesn't he?

Your post seems muddled, "taking them out of the line of succession" isn't the same as having children and not wanting their faces in the media.

Again, projection and speculation.

Devonisheaven · 28/04/2024 01:22

Yep I’m predicting it, with confidence.

LBFseBrom · 28/04/2024 01:26

That does not surprise me one bit. What does surprise me is that people's opinions are so swayed by what they read in the media. I take everything with a pinch of salt.

SuziQuinto · 27/04/2024 23:47

No. He never said anything about Princess Michael's Blackamoor brooch. That was criticised in the - wait for it - UK press!
If there was racism, H would have monetised it. He would have done interviews, written another book, more Netflix. Probably a musical

He has proved nothing at all..well, apart from his own character and personality of course.

Did any of the Royal Family speak about the broach and say it wasn’t appropriate. Its not really good enough for the RF to just not say racist things, they should be proactively speaking out when incidents like that occur imo and not just the woman who wore it.

It's not me who's muddled. I said asking for his children not to be made part of it, it being the line of succession.

Cite an example of a current working Royal being racist?

Why just current? Because it suits.

I was on a thread here years ago about Philips racists comments where excuses were made for him, so even when there was a current working royal with a track record of being racist, the comments were passed over as nothing or excused because of his generation. Did the RF ever apologise for his comments because it’s not good enough to think ‘it wasn’t me’ imo.

Now he’s dead, posters are happy to say ‘name a current working royal who is racist’. Back then, people did just that and were ignored.

I think it’s unlikely that in a family where racism was alive and well in Philip and Harry until a few years ago, that no other family members hold those views. They’re likely to just be more controlled about where they express those opinions because it’s harder to excuse people in the generations after Philip being racist.

And yet, when they did speak out and act, condemning Lady Susan Hussey and dismissing her from her post for alleged racism, who were the RF undermined by? Oh yes, Harry and Meghan, who basically threw the woman making the accusation that she had been on the receiving end of racism under the bus, by claiming (though they were not party to the event or the conversation) that Lady Hussey would never have meant anything racist in her words or behaviour.

I think it was disgusting that Harry and Meghan excused her being racist. She knew what she was saying and it was wrong.

That's a very long way of being unable to answer the question.

Harry was at pains to tell Gail King after the Oprah interview to tell the world that his grandfather, Philip, wasn't the so-called "royal racist". He had an excellent opportunity himself to call out his grandfather's past behaviour in any of his many interviews or his book. Why didn't he?

But she was staff so easier to make an example of anyway.

Did the royals speak publicly every time Philip made racist comments?

Phillip was of a totally different generation, background and upbringing. He would be over 100 years old now. I'm not convinced that he even meant his comments in a pejorative way. He was a product of his generation though, whether you like it or not, where people were outspoken, and woke wasn't a thing. Racism wasn't recognised then either the way it is now. And anyway, the man is fucking dead.

You still haven't given any examples of the current working members of the family being racist.

No idea, he should have. Philip showed himself to be a racist multiple times. The constant acceptance and excusing it by everyone in the RF was disgusting.

I'm not convinced he was a racist, in that there is no evidence that I am aware of that showed he discriminated against anyone on the basis of their race. I think he was outspoken, and spoke without thinking, at a time when the comments he made were not condemned the way they would be now.

It's unreasonable to judge the past by the standards of today.

So would you say this to posters on here when they start a thread saying their Granny or Grandpa had said something racist? by your reckoning they must racists as well? Or does this rule just apply to the Royal Family? and if racist views are passed down the line then surely Harry has passed on his racist views to his children?

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 28/04/2024 02:00

My dad (Indian, brown) met Prince Philip, had a lovely conversation with him and found him charming. I'll be issuing him with a posthumous condemnation first thing in the morning.

My nana is 97, she’s not racist. There’s no excuse, especially for a man in his position who had access to education throughout his life and could have kept his views ‘up to date’. You excusing him speaks volumes. He was a racist bastard. His family saw no reason to come out and say that their views didn’t slight with his which to me says a lot about their views. It’s no longer good enough to sit and think I didn’t say it, you need to speak up.

As I said, it’s convenient that you now ask for current members now he’s dead. And hopefully the younger royals are at least better at hiding their racism. They know that the public won’t accept it now.

My father and FIL are racist. I always challenged them and spoke up. I no longer speak to them be ause I didn’t want their influence on my children, who also called their grandpas out on their behaviour, shortly before we went NC.

When you’re in the position the RF are, I strongly believe they need to speak up.
