I would also be interested to know.
I remember when it was 'announced' that the Sussex kids would be using the prince and princess titles, someone started a thread asking what Sussex supporters, especially those who claim to be republicans, thought of it. The responses were pretty vague and evasive, with muddled talk of 'birthrights'. But surely if you're a republican you don't believe in such nonsense anyway? Especially for people who have no official role and live in a republic which discarded the royals centuries ago?
It does seem that the Sussex supporters find it almost impossible to disagree with or criticise anything they do, which fascinates me in a way. 4 years ago, it was all about the Sussexes 'finding their voice' and being able to support causes which were too controversial or progressive for the backward royals. Royal life was too constraining for such a dynamic couple, especially the go getting feminist Duchess. Yet now, 4 years on, here she is hawking jam on the internet? Teaming up with Kardashians? And a bully? Whatever happened to that 'conference' with parents concerned about online trolling?
They were supposed to be global philanthropists, making the royal family seem stale and irrelevant by comparison. Now they're just looking like rather desperate influencers, at a time when even the influencer trend is past its peak.
