The truth is that Kate finally had enough and decided to become a recluse and a replacement has been sought and found and after a few weeks voice coaching and brain washing the children they are just about ready to present the replacement “Kate” to the public

Famous people out in 'the wild' whether that be farm shop/High St/supermarket whatever don't always look like themselves.
I think that's because we're so used to seeing them glammed up in the media.
Or even if they aren't glammed up in the media they look similar but different in real life.
I don't know if that's down to being seen in a different environment or context, seeing the celeb in 3D rather than the 2D version we see in pictures/photos, lighting or simply body language & demeanour.

That is such a strange thing to say given it is so clear, just by this thread alone, that we are all not agreed.

That is a very odd takeaway from @Bletchers post. No hatred, 'irrational' or otherwise, or jealousy there that I can see, just pointing out the obvious - the ridiculousness of trying to present such an immensely privileged person as one of life's poor victims. And at a time when there are real victims out there (cost of living crisis anyone?).

And - sorry to drag Meghan into this again - but the British media have been dragging, denigrating and bullying Meghan for years and are still doing it. So the hypocrisy of telling us to lay off Kate when they are continuously bullying Meghan to this day, takes my breath away & is just nauseating.

And yes it is galling - to anyone with professional status that they have worked and studied for to achieve - to have this woman vaunted and see her built up as some kind of authority and spokesperson on her subject. I think the days of this are gone, ie of Royals pontificating on complex and challenging subjects they know little or nothing about. I would rather hear from the professionals.

I was concerned for the welfare of an elderly neighbour recently whom I know only by sight as I hadn’t seen him around. When I heard he died I didn’t care personally as I don’t know him.

Because of all the KP lies, evasions, and decidedly shifty behaviour from William, and Buck Palace, I’ve been quite comfortable commenting on the whole situation.

But last night on other sm I saw a whisper (dated January) about a data leak from the London Clinic, and if there’s any truth in it, the PoW has gone through a very sad, painful and perilous experience. While the request for privacy has been enforced in a staggeringly incompetent and cackhanded way, and I’ve been very bemused at William, it’s true that he’s got a lot on his plate just now.

What I read may very well not be true, but it pulled me up to realise that maybe all the smoke and mirrors are deflecting from a simple truth that Kate has been going through a really awful medical and emotional experience - not as a royal but as a woman - and as women on here we should stand back, zip up, and support her.

That was always a possibility though given the amount of time that she was going to take off.

Also whatever the procedure they probably erred on the side of caution re how long her recovery might take.

They have a reputation for being lazy. They could be milking something bread-and-butter and routine on that basis. Or she could have undergone something very serious and life-changing. It’s hard to tell. In fairness, like LittleGlowing I suspect the latter but I wouldn’t blame some taxpayers for being cynical given their work rate in the past.

The statement was that she wouldn't do anything until after Easter so there's really no mystery about why she hasn't done anything is there?

Whether of not she really needs that time-who knows?

If they had stated she wasn’t going to do anything until after Easter then why put out a photo in which they had photoshopped her face in. There was no reason for them to do this if they were saying she was back after Easter. They thought they were being clever and that the public would lap it up. They were wrong and have made total fools of themselves no one is ever going to believe anything they say in the future. For all of those saying stop bullying poor Kate I don’t think they should be feeling sorry for her she was the one who put the statement out saying she dabbled with editing pictures. Also where were the royalists who are feeling sorry for poor Kate when Meghan was getting bullied. I don’t have much time for any of them but this just smacks of hypocrisy.

I think it takes a special kind of person who would try to access someone’s medical records - royal or not.

It doesn’t matter if they did it out of nosiness or for the dollar. Although I suspect it could well have been a bit of both.

I have no sympathy for the individuals involved if they accessed her information when they had no reason to do so. I’d also have little sympathy if they lost their jobs. They will have been completely aware of the consequences.

@LittleGlowingOblong has it. Any woman - regardless of position/status/rich or not, deserves better than endless speculation and privacy breaches and should be given the time they need to heal for medical matters.

I don't think it is about bullying so much but it is about common decency.

I actually think it may have been set up and it’s neither of them and nothing to do with them either. As you say- movie director just happened to be there to record it, and that is definitely not her. He has a baseball cap pulled all the way down too and the footage is so blurry, surely it could have been recorded better?

yes, totally agree too! Most of the comments aren't even negative towards Kate but the situation and how it's been handled. It's so clear now how differently the family, the media and the pubic have treated these two women. Meghan got, 'we pay, you pose' and Kate got ' take as much time as you need and even after lying we shouldn't question you at all'
