Well exactly. It would be a stretch to call a face lift a ‘health issue’ if it does turn out that that is the chief reason for taking three months off. It certainly couldn’t justify William’s absence. Indeed it’s the latter which suggests it probably isn’t a face lift. Dynamite if it becomes obvious that that’s what it was though.

I don't think the woman in the video looks like Kate. I also find it completely implausible that no one else in the farm shop noticed the future king and queen doing their shopping - especially when the story is so big right now.

If it's Kate, then her face looks different beyond weight loss/less make up. If it's her, and she's had cosmetic surgery during this period, then there will be a rocky road ahead.

I think the story could be false. The Sun will keep its hands clean because 'they believed the member of the public.' The guy who shot the video keeps his hands clean because 'I genuinely thought it was them.' There'll be a load of 'an error made in good faith' and some people will believe them, others won't.

KP are unlikely to comment on a 3rd party video, filmed during a 'private' outing.

Finally, yes, Russia is seeking to destabilise the west - Brexit, Trump, Charles etc - and this is exactly the sort of thing - undermining trust in establishment/institutions - that is part of the playbook. Putin is ALWAYS a few steps ahead.

All of that said, she's a woman with a life and kids. I hope she takes the time she needs to get well, and manages to benefit from her time away from the public gaze.

I think you're right in that no surgeon would combine abdominal surgery with cosmetic but it's not beyond the realms of possibility that she had abdominal surgery back in January as announced, recovered, and subsequently had a blepharoplasty or buccal fat removal done. That would explain the extended hiding away period and the grainy photos.

And blepharoplasty, buccal fat removal or brow lifts are certainly not old technology, they're done routinely to women of her age.

Two people looking very like W&K near Windsor Castle are more likely to be them than not. Just as a couple of penguins near London Zoo would most likely have escaped from there.

It’s very plausible that she’s lost a lot of weight, that she looks younger because she’s not wearing makeup (it’s usually quite heavy), or she’s taken the opportunity of her other surgery and time out to have a facelift.

But it’s a bit strange that she’s not more aware and self conscious going out in public in the middle of the media furore. You’d expect her to be more aware of the concerns surrounding her, and you’d also expect far more curiosity from the public. She just looks a bit oblivious to what’s being going on.

However, I do feel a little vindicated because I've been talking about the incompetence of KP and William not doing enough to defend and support his wife publicly for YEARS.

The media are garbage and when it comes to the RF, they always have a target and from 04/05 to 2018, that target was Kate (also William but mostly Kate)

The girl really went through it pre-marriage (that would've been it for me but that's not my life): bad press, her family being attacked, classism, paparazzis, no royal protection.

I'm pretty young. I was only a toddler when Kate and William met but looking back at old articles, documentaires, videos and it was so sad. The Palace obviously are all about their rules and protocol but Kate was dating William for YEARS before marriage and I've seen some of these paparazzis videos, it was brutal. The fact that the Palace didn't provide her with security is such a shame.

Then, after she gets married, the media still was nasty to her (some of the criticism were justified): her weight, her breaking tradition by not getting pregnant in her first year of marriage, calling her children parasites, rumours of feud with Camilla, the Queen and the Yorks, misleading the public with a cover of the Daily Mirror saying that cocaine was found in her hospital room, the paparazzis stalking George (the palace reacted), the topless scandal (they sued), linking her to abortions, taking private jets and helicopters (deserved), the renovations of their KP apartment, accusing her of funding terrorists because she bought Lapis lazuli,...

In that period, the Palace and KP rarely reacted on stories about Kate

Meghan arrived and the media had their new target.
It was great at first, it was breath of fresh air, moderniser Meghan vs dull, boring, old-fashioned Kate.

Then, the media switched completely on Meghan and she became the main target.

All of that to say, so many K&W fans attacked me for years but this KateGate saga only proves my point: the women in this family are rarely protected. Unless you're a female monarch or a born princess (and even then, look at the way Eugenie and Beatrice were attacked for years), you're not going to be protected. It's so sad.

Look at the men, they're allowed to be mediocre, average but yet the women have to be educated, intelligent, beautiful, stylish,...they have to be extraordinary to get praised only for the media to, at some point, turn on them.

H&M are the perfect example: the word Megxit, as if H didn't chose to leave as well.

The narrative amongst a lot of haters is that poor Harry is manipulated by evil Meghan as if Harry is not grow enough to make his own decisions

Both K&W are lazy but Kate is the one that usually gets most of the criticism.

If I were, I'd take my kids and leave because no amount of money and even love would make me go through all of this

I suppose from her perspective she’s not missing or in hiding, she’s been in plain sight the whole time doing whatever she’s been doing, and she let go of self-consciousness about 20 years and 1,000,000 photographs ago.

Presumably if they’re regulars at the farm shop it’s a bit meh, whatever for people who see them all the time and for whom she’s never been “missing” – we have no idea if this is her first trip out, or the first one videoed.

Why would there be a rocky road ahead? If she's done anything (I don't think she has) It's her face, she can do whatever she wants with it and its absolutely nobody else's business. We didn't need to be told back then and we still don't need to be told now.

I'm finding people's entitlement to know what she's doing with her own body really bizarre and pathetic.

Kate can turn herself into Jocelyn Wildenstein for all I care, but not whilst telling the public she's undergoing abdominal surgery. It's the dishonesty that would be the problem. We don't expect the RF to lie to us.

I went out the other day, out out, loads of photos were taken by the group. In some I look 37, in some I look 67. I did not have a facelift or cheek fillers in between shots. Lighting, camera, distance, angle… they all play a part in a flattering or unflattering image.

They wouldn't have said abdo surgery if she wasn't having it, that would be a very odd thing to lie about.

If she had a few tweeks to her face while she was off recovering from abdo surgery, that would be the perfect time to get anything done while she's out of the spotlight. So that makes sense.

But again, it would nobody's business but hers! We don't need to be told.

Of course she’s not missing to herself. But she’s MIA to the public. It would be a bit odd if she’s unaware of the heightened interest during the current furore.
