Are Harry, Meghan, Archie and Lili coming back home?

It would be nice to have them back and getting along with the rest of the family, what do people think? They'd have to apologise and try to move forward in a positive way. With Charles being unwell and elderly, and the Wales kids too young to serve as working royals, the Sussex's may be needed. Trump may win the election, which could have a negative impact on them and Archie will start school soon, a great time to relocate home?? Apparently Meghan is looking for PR agencies to help her improve her image. Would the Uk welcome them?

I cringe at uncle Gary.

Salemforcuddles · 09/03/2024 11:15

I'm horrified by uncle Gary

Pushtart · 09/03/2024 11:16

It makes me scared for women that it's so normalised. I can't see someone convicted of attacking another protected group getting cast.

Salemforcuddles · 09/03/2024 11:16

Yes

Kjones27 · 09/03/2024 11:19

The middletons must be delighted to see him out.

As bad as some of meghans family are at least they've never done reality tv.

They've probably received offers.

Probably what's stopping meghans dad is his poor health. He can't fly to the UK

I think if he could do CBB he probably would.

skullbabe · 09/03/2024 11:19

Christ you are obsessed with this friends thing

Writing considered responses takes time.

I was talking about losing long term friends which seems to have happened here.

And I responded that they haven’t lost more than most.

Afraid you're wrong with that! Her half brother was on Australian Big Brother. He is an awful man, and I won't repeat and amplify what he has said and done to Meghan

It is really eye opening how so many people have skipped past the fact that a violent criminal was plied with alcohol on TV in the hopes that he would be ratings gold in possibly spilling Kate beans or adding fuel to the Windsor Wars.

Well if you want to a really considered response. We don't know how many they have lost neither have we completed a survey of how many friends everyone else has lost

Yes it really is awful. What on earth was the TV channel thinking? How low must it all sink for ratings

Nursing homes? In their 70's? Where on earth do you live!

My Sister went into a nursing home the day after her 61st birthday. Aren't you lucky to live somewhere that everyone is in rude health until at least their 80s. Average life expectancy in the UK as a whole is 80.9 years in Scotland it is 76.

Salemforcuddles · 09/03/2024 11:25

I won't be watching it now

MaturingCheeseball · 09/03/2024 11:27

The thing is with friends, if you insulted them, called them racists, divulged secrets… they would never speak to you again .

Yet with family… it’s expected that no matter what goes down you have to forget all about it, water under the bridge etc etc and all carry on as normal.

That’s why people will always turn up at their parents’ door, no matter what. They know that door will never be truly shut; there’s always a crack to get your foot back in.

Salemforcuddles · 09/03/2024 11:31

I'm going to have a Salem cuddle and then off out. Have a lovely day everyone

And this isn’t even a show on a ‘minor’ tv channel in a pathetic attempt to grab ratings from one of the ‘big’ channels. This is ITV.

Mainstream acceptable to put a violent man on tv in the hope he’ll tell royal secrets/gossip - be it in his niece or another of his rants about Harry and Meghan.

Yes. I was really surprised at the posters earlier on this thread who said that there can't possibly be people in their 70s, in nursing homes. Do those posters live in the real world?

It's bizarre. I'm not sure what world they live in. I volunteered in a nursing home for a year , and the majority of the people there were in their 70s and early 80s. Some people in the nursing home were in their 60s

The average life expectancy of women in the UK is 83.

Someone said earlier here, well my parents play tennis in their late seventies. Yes some people can remain very healthy into their late seventies for sure.

But not it's not the case for a lot of people

It will also go some way to legitimising* Gary Goldsmith as a reality tv ‘star’.

Other shows will now invite him on to spout his opinions in the hope they’ll get the scoop on the royals by badging him as “CBB start Gary Goldsmith” taking him another step away from his conviction.

*again to the media

I don't watch much ITV, usually just sport. It has put me right off watching anything on the Channel now- the app sucks anyway, too much money spent on Ant and Dec and not viewer experience!

What's so unkind about this is that she actually repeated the 'waity Katy' thing on TV for a whole new US audience, who probably had never heard about this. Knowing this was derogatory about Kate, she then went on to broadcast it. Unkind and calculated, especially knowing how these things can go viral. Now she is in the headlines again, talking at some event about how she was online bullied when she was pregnant with Archie and Lili. She sounds incredibly affected when she speaks, and, it's all always about her and her personal victimhood. Very strange. She is this confident successful, rich and extremely privileged woman, but she presents herself as a victim. Does that sort of 'poor rich girl' thing appeal to Americans audiences?

Edited

It’s a narcissistic trait to vacillate between presenting as either the Hero or the Victim.

Extra special attention seeking status at all times.

I think that the people earlier on this thread who said "no one goes into a nursing home in their 70s" are so detached from reality, it's worrying.

They should go and volunteer for a day in a nursing home

Gettingonmygoat · 09/03/2024 11:50

Kjones27 Heartbreaking to see not so old people in care homes, my sister wasn't the youngest in there.

Samcro · 09/03/2024 11:57

well my adult dc is in a care home. why is that heartbreaking?

montblancc · 09/03/2024 11:59

@Kjones27 I spent 10 years working in nursing home & care settings. 3/4 of nursing home residents are over the age of 80. The under 60/70/80's ARE the minority. This is also mainly due to disability and health related issues, rather than old age. Your comment 'Yes some people can remain very healthy into their late seventies for sure' is an extremely ageist view. Most people in their 70's are perfectly functioning people, not all decrepit geriatrics.
