What a weasel.
Whilst Kate is clearly very unwell, he thinks it will be a good idea to go on national tv and 'spill the beans'.
I can't see him actually knowing much inside information about the Royals.
More likely he will be slagging Harry and Meghan off, which won't be helpful to either party.
The whole family must be on pins.
I won't be watching, I wouldn't anyway, awful programme.

’if he had anything significant to say that would hurt them, he'd probably have said it already, so imo, he will probably not be letting off any big bomb.’**

But with a programme like Big Brother the contestants are filmed 24 hrs so the producers will be scouring his every interaction for any royal related tidbits, hoping he’ll get comfortable in his surroundings and end up being a bit indiscreet. And if there’s booze involved and tongues loosen, you can see how he might inadvertently say something the family would rather he didn’t.

more embarrassment for the “classy” M family?

I do hope not. I think it is important to stay sober about this, especially with all the hoo-hah on social media about Catherine. Hardly anyone knows or cares who he is and his appearance will probably tank.

A ray of light for the Middletons is that he probably doesn't get kept in the loop much in order to spill any significant secrets. He appears to care for his sister and nieces, so why would he hurt them, especially at this time? And if I'm wrong and he's a bad man (as pp have suggested), if he had anything significant to say that would hurt them, he'd probably have said it already, so imo, he will probably not be letting off any big bomb.

Baying for his blood is a bit off too from either side, imo. He's a private citizen, and I assume republicans and royalists alike support him doing what he's free to do, even if it's unpleasant for the latter group to witness and possibly worrying for the former if they think he might talk about H&M. Again though, I doubt he has anything new to say about them either.

Besides, if he does say anything the palace hates, they can send a Beefeater into the Big Brother House to arrest him and throw him in the Tower! 😂

A voice of reason - I feel a bit naughty for laughing at his drunken antics now 😅😂

Ah so they do ply them with drink! And he clearly has issues with the sauce, so as unsavoury as medieval bear baiting - but at the same rime, no one has forced him into it, he clearly thinks he knows best!

We’ve all got an ‘uncle Gary’ unfortunately 😂 One thing I’ll very reluctantly say, at least the Middletons haven’t disowned him, however much they probably want to 😬

Kenthighst · 04/03/2024 12:10

Sure even William has an "uncle Gary" in the form of `Uncle Andrew.

Maybe CCB should invite Randy Andy on next year to even the score!

Viviennemary · 04/03/2024 12:38

He has seized the chance to make a bit of money and I don't blame him.

TheCatOnMorrisseysHead · 04/03/2024 12:46

He needs the cash to keep Maison de Bang Bang going I guess.

He's Catherine's 'Uncle Knob head' (Peter Kay reference, if anyone else is old enough to remember).

Puzzledandpissedoff · 04/03/2024 14:44

Looking on the bright side, at least it solves the ridiculous carry-on about "where's Kate?"
Clearly she's going to be on it with him, and has been missing due to filming

Well, why not? It's no dafter than some of the other theories Wink

OnlyLoveCanBreakYourHeart · 04/03/2024 15:28

I read on another thread that he has pulled out?

bizzey · 04/03/2024 15:31

I saw that as well ...on the LK thread ?

I think alcohol is available, and for those who can't help it, this will be irresistible. And it is obviously entertainment to see someone making a tit of themselves whilst drunk, especially when they are a bit full of themselves. It's the producers who should have a bit more duty of care about who they let loose to spout nonsense that might hurt someone else, but they are conflicted because it brings more viewers in. It's a horrible programme, hard to believe it's still going.

Samcro · 04/03/2024 15:58

i am always surprised its still going. it must be popular.
I have never watched it, not cos i am a snob, just not something that appeals to me.

TallerSally · 04/03/2024 16:03

Well that'd be a terrible shame. I think not only is Uncle Gary likely to be hugely credible on Harry and Meghan, having probably never met them, he's also in a really strong position to admonish them for exploiting their royal ties for money and attention.

Once he's done that, he can draw upon his experience as a convicted wife-beater to team-up with Camilla's efforts to do nothing but talk end violence against women.

So many insightful delights to look forward to on Z-list-Has-Been-Nonentity Big Brother!!

Checken · 04/03/2024 16:24

He’s clearly following the Matt Hancock school of rehabilitation! Don’t think it worked though!

I don’t think anyone cares if he will appear or not, even if Gary thinks he’s relevant 🙃

Also surprised it’s running, it’s such a dated idea

Mybrainfartsarefragrant · 04/03/2024 17:03

You simply cannot equate Uncle Gary talking (if he does indeed talk) about his limited knowledge of Harry and Meghan to Harry's repeated and lucrative tell alls of some of the most intimate moments in his life as a royal. Not to mention the act of betraying family confidence by dragging his brother, SIL, step mother and father into a (often provably false) narrative that is negative, hurtful, and frankly disgusting at times.

Gary is going to have, at best, a bit of gossip and a bit of generic criticism of the Sussexes. IF he says anything. He's probably not even as close in knowledge as many of the experienced royal correspondents. I am sure his family know not to give him anything other than the bear minimum of information about their feelings on the matter.

Harry, on the other hand, has spoken, Repeatedly. He was their close loved one, not extended family like Gary. He was nurtured and protected by them, whatever he might write. He was trusted as part of the inner circle and he completely betrayed that trust. His many appearances on TV and interviewed betrayals were made soberly and with forethought and deliberation - much worse than some drunken rambling on reality TV.

Camilla could have used her platform for all manner of things. She hasn't chosen a clickbait, "sexy" zeitgeisty cause that makes her look like a woke warrior. Supporting abused women is nothing to be laughed at. I'm not sure why she has been dragged into this debate. The royal family have zero control over the actions of a private citizen, whatever connections he has.

So many insightful delights to look forward to on Z-list-Has-Been-Nonentity Big Brother!!

It’ll beat some of the insightful delights by some on here…

I’m delighted that QC speaks about DV. Been there. Had that.

Sunshine on that - however it comes about - is welcomed.

And is the reason that G should not have been considered for CBB in the first place.

💐I'm sorry to hear that.

Nobody should mock sincere efforts to support abused women. It's really low to have a go at someone using their massive platform to highlight and support charities supporting such women, which is what Camilla does.

Maireas · 04/03/2024 17:16

So true, @ArcaneWireless . Camilla supporting this cause is to be applauded. 🌻

I reckon he thinks he'll play it like Mike Tindall, just be himself, whoever that is. Maybe reveal something equally inconsequential like William complimented his home made jam.

I’d forgotten Camilla was involved in that. Wholeheartedly agree about the importance of supporting abused women, and good on her for shining her light on the cause rather than herself.

ChanelNo19EDT · 04/03/2024 17:21

Very true, upthread, William's ''uncle gary'' is worse than Kate's uncle gary.

He won't reveal anything bad about W&K, not intentionally. I wouldn't trust him not to attempt to set a few records straight though and it'll all stir up drama. He shouldn't do it.................
