Fergie on This Morning

Anyone else watching Fergie co presenting This Morning today? She's being very careful with what she's saying, but seems good fun.

I just read a review of her performance in the Guardian.

That review has really made me laugh.

I love Fergie. I’m not ashamed of it. She’s a very kind, naive disaster. And I’m here for any further ITV presenting jobs… probably on catch up.

That Guardian article was funny. Jan Moir in the Mail describes her as looking like a mad mother elf

I just hope This Morning realised the error if their ways and it won't be a regular slot!

Someone who can't read autocue, who talks over the other presenters or just drifts off mid sentence, and who thinks the answer to relationship problems is for the woman to buy some sexy underwear...really should not be seen again. 🦃😮

God knows why the royals consider themselves capable of things they have no experience or capability with ... she's going to end up the next royal flop/joke like H&M!

She's just such a likeable character isn't she. Yes she has a catalogue of gaffes and mistakes but she owns it. She doesn't 'ponce about' pretending to be something she isn't.

Always respectful and discreet about the rf which her blabbermouth nephew could learn something from.

I saw Eugenie's wedding on TV and I thought she came across very well. Quite a fun, likeable person. It's a shame she experienced so much abuse from the tabloids years ago. I just hope that doesn't happen again.

She hasn't slways been ' respectful and discreet' about the Royals! She did her own Oprah interview, plus the fake sheikh business. She's 'respectful and discreet' now because she gets to live on the Royal Estate with her ex husband and gets invited to Sandringham now Phil is dead and as the only person who actually considers Andrew a decent human being!

That's funny Janiie! You obviously haven't read excerpts of her book where she absolutely slags off the Monarchy, the men in grey suits, the Institution, the way everything is handled... on and on. She obviously leaves the family out of it, as her exH was still in it.

Honestly they've weathered far worse over the decades I doubt this is even in their top ten.

She has never played the 'poor me waaah! its every else's fault' card and that is why folk like her. Self deprecating not ridiculously pompous, bitter or jealous.

Like @Roussette said, its obvious you don't know anything about her book or any of her interviews where she has indeed complained about her time in the royal household. As long as she constantly references the Queen lovingly, I guess the facts don't matter.

That was my first thought!
Her daughters might be working mothers (albeit fairly privileged) but I'm not sure I'd describe Fergue as such. If she didnt work would we be referring to her as a SAHM...? (with 2 children in their 30s who moved out years ago...)

The point is she is back in the royal fold and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. She's just bounced back from major surgery due to cancer. She may be a chancer but I admire her resilience.

Honestly the Royals do the bare minimum and manage to get people to fawn over how amazingly hard working they are! These people must know they aren't doing the hoovering while holding down anything like a job and taking care of the kids, yet they are willing to demean themselves and other people by pretending that no one works harder than a Royal with nannies and armies of household staff because they turn up to a 10 minute handshaking and ask inane questions twice a week! It's PR genius that must be ingrained through the generations!
