George's exams

Kate is not going with william to Singapore as George has important exams. What exams would a 10 year old be sitting in November?
I know nothing about private school systems so hoping someone here does.

totally in the stratosphere of the making money out of your connections. The rest of the RFs' monetising is small fry in comparison.

Completely disagree

And in weeks to come, that will be quoted as fact on threads.

But we don’t know ! None of us do !

As for the wonderful gesture of allowing Meghan to carry on her acting career... I just laugh out loud at that one. As if that would work !

Even parts of Suits had to be rewritten because of a sensitive word when she was just dating Harry 😂🤣

Edited

She’d have been fine. It all would have settled down eventually. She wasn’t likely to be more than a small part player anyway. She’d probs be in Bridgerton or something…non x part.

The cost to the taxpayer of supporting a whole team of expat security staff is what seems hard to comprehend, the overheads of an expat team would probably triple or quadruple the cost of their security. I can see why that was not sustainable for either the taxpayer or for his father to cover the cost of.

Anyway, it seems that on some of their travels, other countries or organisations are covering the cost of their security, so it's not like they are paying out for some elite security team full time, they have their 'normal' security as per other celebrities and it is appears this is supplemented as and when their commercial / charity events deem it necessary.

I appreciate your thoughts and reasoning but all of that detracts from the fundamental issue.

The royal children should be afforded life long security for their services which let’s face it, started the moment they left the hospital steps.

Good. And I will say that when someone posts that as a fact. Because that's what happens on these threads!

Good grief, I can't imagine the Palace allowing Meghan to play a part in the likes of Bridgerton. I haven't watched it, but thought there were sex scenes and it was a bit racy 😂

We do if we look at what transpired in 2020. Why should we expect any different in 30 years time? I’ve been given no reason to think it will be any different for George, Charlotte and Louise.

Highly unlike.y she’d get one of those parts would it? One of the society women. It’s only the Bridgerton family and partners who wipe off their clothes…and not all of them. Mainly the 2 oldest brothers. Others very buttoned up.

themessygarden · 09/10/2023 10:30

I know it is likely an autocorrect but it is Louis and not Louise, was wondering why one of Prince Edwards children was included in the security discussion and Prince Louis was excluded😊

everetting · 09/10/2023 10:30

If meghan had carried on acting after she married Harry she would either have been offered big roles, or been offered nothing because of the interference by the Palace. The Palace got the suits script changed even before she married Harry.
The idea she could carry on acting was pie in the sky.
No decent producer would want that interference. Only those offering her roles to cash in on her royal status would go along with it. And the Palace would not want her to take those roles.

Well that is ‘their’ story. We don’t actually know. The producer said that was what he was told. Never actually talked to them. More likely she wanted them changed herself.

Sophie (Winkelman) Windsor manages perfectly fine. And the story about the Suits script was second hand at best via Meghan’s agents and the Suits writers - we have no idea if it’s true.

ALittleTeawithmilk · 09/10/2023 10:38

I’m pretty sure that it was in Harry’s book that the palace asked to see, and changed, the script.

Also, I’ve read an interview with a suits director who said the same.

themessygarden · 09/10/2023 10:41

Anyway, I wonder if Harry will need to be increasing his security pretty promptly in light of his very public relationship with Gabor Mate, who is reported to be a Hamas sympathiser and who is viewed as an anti Zionist by Israel.

There was already a lot of controversy around the interview at the time, so the atrocity carried out by Hamas, will be bringing that relationship to the fore again no doubt, especially that he is going to NYC this week.

ALittleTeawithmilk · 09/10/2023 10:42

Harry’s security was withdrawn when they were still in Canada. It was that, plus the paparazzi - who had discovered where they were staying and hounded them for days - that led to them leaving for the US. Also they were aware that the border could close any day (pandemic).

The fact is @MissElinorDashwood , none of us know whether or not The King sends Harry money .

Oh come on! Charles wouldn't even give Harry a bed for one night.

Catherine has a job as a royal. If she didn't want that role, she should have followed her sisters lead and married a billionaire.

Funnily, It seems she picks and chooses what she constitutes as work.

What she would like to attend versus what she'd rather try and use as a flimsy excuse to get out of attending.

Prince George will get into any school his parents want for him, and she damn well knows this. As PP has said, all the rather thick royals have always got a place in elite schools, despite them being as thick as pigs shit.

I have absolutely nothing against the girl. She's playing the game to perfection, but all this fawning over her makes me sick.

She doesn't want to fucking go....simples

Maybe bringing up the future King to be a well adjusted man is her work. Seems like a worthwhile thing for her to be doing.

Zara does not have the same half in half out . She isn’t funded by taxpayers , she doesn’t have paid for security unless she attends an official occasion . She doesn’t represent The King on official duties .

Harry and meghan were not being asked to be paid. They were asking for what zara and Mike have.
Personally I think none of them should have this half in and half out.

You’re missing the point….

As if Meghan should be expected to pay Harry’s security when they left, and not the person who brought him into this setup in the first place!

If George, Charlotte or Louis decide to leave after decades of benefiting the institution, magazines and tabloids, would their partners be expected to pay for their security or should the burden be on their parents, William and Kate?

Looking at these comments so far, most posters are failing to realise there are no terms of employment for the children. They aren’t as protected as you think they are and there’s no reason to think they won’t end up being treated like Harry if they choose to make the difficult decision to leave. (Driven/hounded out after years of abuse and monetary exploitation by the press).

everetting · 09/10/2023 10:56

@MissMissElinorDashwood it wouldn't surprise me if one of them left.
I also think if Harry had been murdered lots of people would have blamed him for leaving the Royal family. Just as Diana was implicitly blamed for her own death by many royalists

it had occurred to me that Kate must have thought about her children wanting to leave the position of working Royals after school/uni in order to do something else, and then not having security as a consequence of leaving.

I doubt she would have thought about it until it happened to Harry, though. She may not have realised this was the reality: But since then she must have pondered the reality of this very possible future situation.

MissElinorDashwood · 09/10/2023 11:12

In my opinion, after school/uni would be the best time to make that decision.
