Recently spotted at a TSwift (allegedly), Barbie movie for her birthday, a restaurant, and then hanging out with friends in an Instagram selfie. She looks phenomenal in this photo!

Glad to see she's enjoying her life back home with her family.

Someone posts a lovely photo of Meghan looking happy and healthy while hanging out with her mates ….and the usuals suspects can’t stand it.

Her friend took it. You can see her arm is out. We still call it a selfie.

This is a nice photo of a woman with her friends
Pfft – of course she’s hanging onto her friends. Everything she does is for attention.
She looks lovely
It’s all plastic surgery, filters and makeup
She takes after her mother who looks lovely for her age
Yes she does look lovely but the photo is 10 years old
As if her mother’s genes are good anyway
The photo can’t be 10 years old as she is celebrating her most recent birthday in it and wearing things that she wouldn’t have been wearing 10 years ago. Also her and her friends do look older than 10 years ago.

Her friend is the one who posted it – is the suggestion that this friend found an old photo of an ex-friend, photoshopped it with current recent markers and posted it to promote her ex-friend?
I’ve just looked again at the photo – actually she just looks like a woman with make up on – nothing special
I worked in the field and can tell she has had loads of Botox – her genes have nothing to do with it

What an odd thing to say? Why would you say this about this woman who has done nothing wrong? Could her race have something to do with it?
OMG could you please stop bringing race into everything – we all know Meghan looking this way has nothing to do with her mother’s genes but everything to do with cosmetic enhancement which has made her look quite ordinary anyway.

Many of us have observed in the past that @MNHQ has problems identifying racist comments. It's partly why the BlackMumsnetters board was set up, to create a safe space to talk about some of these issues.

It's good to see that the offending comments have now been deleted, but because so many of us had responded to challenge those comments, our posts have been deleted too.

It might be a good idea to post a sticky indicating that racially abusive posts about Meghan and her mother are not accepted on this board, because unfortunately, for some people, anything negative you can say about Meghan is acceptable

This thread took an odd turn from the very beginning, and we have made several deletions. Please could we ask everyone to take a moment to reflect on any personal deletions and post accordingly in future?

I must say though however that it is maddening that in addition to the offender being deleted many of the other people deleted myself included were challenging the offending poster as to why they felt what they posted was appropriate. It gives the impression that people calling out reprehensible behaviour are as bad as the actual perpetrators. Just some food for thought @HopeMumsnet

Hi @skullbabe , thanks for the feedback. A lot of times when posts are deleted, we also delete posts making reference to them (including those challenging them) - this is more for coherence of the thread and not necessarily an indication that the post challenging the initial post is also breaking Talkguidelines.

I agree, it happens too often on here.

I’m no Meghan fan at all but I really enjoy her fashion and style and I think she is very pretty indeed, I am disappointed that she didn’t stay as a working member of the RF because I would have enjoyed seeing all her different outfits for all the different occasions, I liked a lot of her clothes and her shoes were divine! The best outfit recently was the striped dress, I know it divided opinion but I loved it.

I want it to be a tad shorter and keep reminding myself it wouldn’t look the same on me.
