What would Harry’s role in the Coronation have been?

I was wondering if Harry was a working Royal what would his role in the Coronation have been (of course that means he didn’t go to the US etc) would he and Meghan walked behind Kate and William?

Bad people often like gobs shut as there’s shit to hide. He obviously feels there are huge problems with their family and the way they handled things between themselves and with the press. He’s free to talk about it if he likes. Who cares? You don’t have to listen and they aren’t your family.

Empty vessels makes the most noise.

MamoruHisaishi · 07/05/2023 15:06

why would you want Harry to leave Meghan? I’m not a Meghan or Harry fan but I wouldn’t ever hope for them to break up because they have kids together, and as long as they’re happy with each other, then no one should hope for the break up of their marriage. Harry isn’t a victim of Meghan, it was his choice to leave, just like it was his choice to shit on his family. Even if they did break up, I doubt his family would welcome him back so easily and William would never trust him again. Not after what he did.

Casuaala · 07/05/2023 15:07

I had hoped that he might bring the children and stay, make amends and leave Meghan for good.

Oh wow; I'm not sure I could wish that on anyone who wasn't in an abusive relationship.

Viviennemary · 07/05/2023 15:09

I think he would have had a role and been dressed in ceremonial robes. But obviously he has more important things to prioritise than a once in 70 years coronation.

Including rose Hanbury’s son is an interesting one; he’s a twin I think so presumably he’s a page at the most important state event in a generation and his twin watches on tv and gets a lifetime subscription to Archewell Audio? But regardless of his father’s role and why the boy was picked on that basis, it’s either a pointed show of rumour quashing, or a strong demonstration of what Harry says - personal feelings of Kate horribly ignored by putting her son cheek by jowl with son of husband’s “mistress”

Kate is now aunty to a niece named Rose. Her sisters daughter. I’ve never believed the affair story and for me this was proof it was nonsense. Not that I needed proof.

Its just occurred to me, what happens if theres a tradgedy and William and children are gone (not going to hapoen obviously) does Harry have to come back and be King? He doesnt want any part of the responsibilities that go with being a working member of the RF, so he would just abdicate at that point? Or has he officially taken himself out of the running so to speak already, like an abdication in advance kinda thing

He’s still in the line of succession and so are his children. So if all that happened and H decided to abdicate it would go to Archie next and he can’t abdicate on his child’s behalf.

TaLooLaBell · 07/05/2023 15:56

He turned up, saw his father crowned and went home for his sons birthday, win win

MsWhitworth · 07/05/2023 16:31

Never really understood why Diana is so loved when she trashed the family, called them ‘the firm’ and even questioned Charles’ suitability to be king. Harry didn’t say anything nearly that bad and he’s the devil incarnate.

Clearly Harry wasn't silenced. And, no doubt, he'll still be yakking away about his small bedroom and mirrorless wardrobe to his grandkids who'll be sniggering behind his back at all the memes.

Good that he wasn’t silenced. If he’s a loving father who acts in the best interests of his children, he’ll be just fine.

And if not, he's always got his weed and psychedelics to fall back on. And you know how I know that? Cos he never stops gabbing.

mateysmum · 07/05/2023 17:09

For those wondering about immediate family on the balcony and the page boys. Of course one of the pages was Prince George, 2 of the others were Camilla's grandsons - twins. One or two others were the grandchildren of Camilla's sister - who was one of the ladies in waiting. So all close family. The other 2 were children of very close friends/godchildren - so hardly randoms pulled off the street.
The other lady in waiting was interviewed yesterday evening on the BBC and she said that at the last minute, the pages and ladies went onto the balcony partly because the robes and trains were so heavy and precious, that Camilla was virtually tipping backwards without somebody to support the train.
Then there were the working royals and their children. Hardly a group to generate controversy.

Let’s hope he chooses the warm, loving father and faithful husband role, who acts in his families best interest. Those that do that tend to have family who remain close and loyal. I’m sure you hope that too. 😉

All four of Camilla’s were related to her - 3 grandsons (her daughters twin boys and her son’s son) plus her sisters grandson.

It's a case of: yakkity yak, don't come back. 😉 😁

In his book he said he hallucinated a talking bin after taking magic mushrooms.

@WeWereInParis here I go! 😂😂😂

Sudeko · 07/05/2023 20:30

I think it is obvious that Harry's main beef is not with Charles but with William. he is jealous that William has a certain future mapped out for him and huge wealth handed to him and a wife who is perceived as being perfect. There isn't really a solution to that (short of dissolving the monarchy). We are some distance away from that. his mission and messages delivered n his own words have been confused but that is the main slight which stands out.

I don’t think Charles is going to reign for 70 years.

cos he’s already over 70.

the most important day in your fathers life versus a birthday for a kid who is too young to know what day of the week it is? There is no contest.

Let’s hope he doesn’t tell them about rubbing his dick with 8 Hour Creme and thinking of Diana. That will scar them for life.

Harry's a dick. He moans about EVERYTHING. He stuck the knife in his brother's back knowing he wouldn't be able to reply. Harry looked very much alone. I mean who would chat to him in private! It would be his truth in a book in months. Not to be trusted ever again.

You were watching a different event than the rest of us. Harry was happily chatting to Bea and Eugenie and their husbands. He looked relaxed.

We don’t see very much at all of his day to day life so how could you possibly know? Confused

I dont “know” but his bitterness, resentment, anger and estrangement doesn’t add up to contentment to me

I think so too. Looked relaxed and was smiling.
Life in America obviously suiting him well!
