Prince Andrew writing a book

The Daily Mail, are reporting that Prince Andrew is in talks with a publishing company. If he is short of money I can see why he is doing this. Harry made megabucks from Spare. Don't think Charles will be too happy though. I suppose he has nothing to lose.

Well... I'm waiting for Scoop, the film about the Maitlis interview, due out 2024.

Looking forward to that one!

The inexplicably panned musical was excellent too. Might still be available on C4 catchup?

VixenTodd · 26/03/2023 10:55

Over 18s fiction?

I’d find this more credible if there were any evidence he’d ever read a book.

Please let him call it NO SWEAT: The True Story. Obviously.

😂

Maireas · 26/03/2023 11:01

Also, Charles is cutting him out, so he needs to make ££££. Probably a bit of a threat to Charles as well. Give me the dosh or I'm telling all?

Yesthatismychildsigh · 26/03/2023 11:26

He’ll call it ‘HONOUR’ and whoever writes it will blather on, whilst being unconvinced themselves, about what an honourable man he is, how he’s had it hard, and he spent time in a war zone. Poor, misunderstood little sausage.

Too right. I saw an interview with Sarah Ferguson recently and that was her take - he's an honourable man. Deluded. Also arrogant and greedy.

And they’re not his worst qualities.

Yesthatismychildsigh · 26/03/2023 11:32

Just had a thought - ok, different lives, but VG was younger then than his niece (Edward’s daughter) is now.

He called himself 'too honourable' for not cutting JE off with a phone call, but flying over to see him (and then spending 4-5 days with him, along with a dinner party in his honour!)
Sooooo honourable that man!

Well considering JE was only a ‘friend of a friend’ I’d say that’s pretty honourable, to go and see him, to explain, over nearly a week, why he can’t see him any more.
I’m going to sit and think about that……..😩🤯

Roussette · 26/03/2023 11:47

Yeah such an honourable man. Sarah also said this about him...

" 'It is so rare to meet people that are able to speak from their hearts with honesty and pure real truth, that remain steadfast and strong to their beliefs. Andrew is a true and real gentleman and is stoically steadfast to not only his duty but also his kindness and goodness of always seeing the best in people. I am deeply supportive and proud of this giant of a principled man, that dares to put his shoulder to the wind and stands firm with his sense of honour and truth. "

🤣😂🤣😅

It will sell and will be ghost-written - the publisher will no doubt have a tariff of possible returns depending on how candid he will be. The "full Harry" would be the most valuable I would have thought. Once he has these figures then he goes to Charles and asks him to match them - it's desperate blackmail. Never a dull moment with the House of Windsor now the late Queen has gone - apres moi le deluge - she joked. Quite. The Roi est mort !

LadyEloise1 · 26/03/2023 12:53

"...Deluded..."
A brilliant title for his book @Maireas

vera99 · 26/03/2023 12:54

Edward's 120 room pile I would be pissed off with the cottage. It's a cost of Royal's crisis - grubby doesn't do the word justice.

Edward's house just doesn't appeal to me. All those empty rooms.

Writing a book? Let’s hope he doesn’t eat all the crayons.

Genius 😂

vera99 · 26/03/2023 13:02

No wonder Edward and Sophie are like Duracell bunnies these days they have this monstrous pile to run and have to go cap in hand to Charles to pay the bills mummy having donated everything to him to avoid paying tax. One can imagine Charles's furrowed brow as yet another bill lands in his in-tray with Camilla elegantly harrumphing by the bay window whilst carefully not spilling a perfectly made G&T.

Roussette · 26/03/2023 13:10

At least Camilla's kids don't have to worry too much about where their next dosh is coming from.... Charles has seen them alright! Trust funds set up before he even married Camilla!

Wow, is that really one house? or one home? I think I can see a couple of front doors!

vera99 · 26/03/2023 13:41

It's a 51 acre pile called Bagshot Park - you would need a lot of servants to maintain that as well. It was previously leased to the Army Chaplains but in 1996 Edward and Sophie must have persuaded HMTLQ they needed bigger premises.

And it will be just the two of them rattling around in that massive 130 roomed estate the majority of the time. One child at Uni, one at boarding school

It's ridiculous

Meh, I can't get too worked up about what royal lives in what property. Edward and Sophie have a large property but if royalty weren't living in it, it would likely be sold and turned into a private school/boarding school or a wealthy Saudi or Chinese investor would buy it and likely not even live in it. It would be naive to think any money made from any sale would filter down so we saw any benefit to our lives.

Is 'meh' the royalists slogan ?

Seems to sum up your defence of the con and explains a lot
