Sickening and dehumanising and mocking small child.

This man is a member of the royal rota, invited to cover royal engagements.

I hope H&M stay away from the coronation.

the poster was now joking 🙄 which is fine apparently.

Shit joke though

RocketsMagnificent7 · 26/03/2023 09:55

That Scobie tweet is nowhere near endangering Louis' life.

Whose life has been endangered?

"No little child should be subjected to this sort of thing".

"Why don't they move on to Louis and take the piss and have a good old laugh about him too? After all, fair's fair."

Ah, but an eye for an eye is okay if it comes to defending M&H's offspring.

You don't seem to understand what comparison of treatment between two children, if you don't understand I can't explain. Perhaps read my previous posts where I have said more than once, it would be a different matter if this was Louis. It was an illustration of the difference.

themessygarden · 26/03/2023 09:59

Whaeanui · 26/03/2023 09:47

Why don't they move on to Louis

This wasn’t a serious suggestion, but you know that. It’s pounding out the hypocrisy and look at how you all reacted. Nobody would say this about Louis, that’s the point.

Exactly my point.

Two very distasteful comments, about two little kids. Both as distasteful as the other, but neither of them were 'a serious suggestion'. Totally easy to take something out of context to fit a narrative.

What poster was joking? If you mean me, perhaps read what I have just posted.

I am gobsmacked that posters on here seem to think that what Jobson and the cackling crew laughed at is OK.

That's basically it for me.

Whaeanui · 26/03/2023 09:59

It was said to illustrate the difference, which your reaction has emphasised.

Well done. Deliberately not understanding my post with comparison. Only to be expected.

Yet these posters won't condemn the Jobson and crew behaviour.

Says it all for me, tells me all I need to know.

VixenTodd · 26/03/2023 10:02

RR never meant it literally about Archie bald. You say you didn't about Louis. Give it a rest.

blitheringblackberries · 26/03/2023 10:04

I can't help but wonder about some of the tedious disagreements some posters must get into IRL

Yet here you are! I hope you're not having a tedious disagreement today!

I'm not. I'm chilled and happy and looking forward to cottage pie (homemade) for lunch Grin

That is tasteless, unnecessary and out of order, nothing funny about it at all.

@Roussette if you are referring to me as one of 'these posters' , I actually did comment on the first page that I thought it was tasteless. We don't all have one sided perspectives.

Thanks. Agreed

KrasiTime · 26/03/2023 10:37

It’s a joke. I think. Just not a funny one.

I actually think the other 3 reporters looked very embarrassed & one retorted ‘not going to happen’.

I initially took comment to mean to show Archie off to the crowd as it’s his birthday. But I don’t see offence in everything.

That Scobie tweet is nowhere near endangering Louis' life.

Whose life has been endangered?

His insinuations made it clear it was an attack on Louis and his parents. Proven by his followers making vile comments about a small child and his parents. It was intended to provoke and it did.

purpledalmation · 26/03/2023 10:44

Just leave the kids out of it. All the kids.

purpledalmation · 26/03/2023 10:45

And that includes Harry's faux concern over Charlotte

Howsimplywonderful · 26/03/2023 10:48

There were plenty of memes including Prince George being held aloft (lion king) and dangled over a balcony from 2013

They wouldn’t be to my taste, but they’re clearly not picking on Archie, and no-one was accusing them of ‘attempted murder’

I did laugh at Harry / Scar

VixenTodd · 26/03/2023 10:48

It was worse for Louis. He lives here, he wasn't a kid on holiday dropping in for five minutes from the other side of the world. Its unfair to punish a kid because his parents are popular and good at their jobs just because your fave royals weren't.

CathyorClaire · 26/03/2023 10:51

It was a tasteless remark but as ever I'm astounded at the level of entirely foreseeable reputational damage these supposed professionals inflict on themselves.

They seem incapable of shutting their traps.

Roussette · 26/03/2023 10:53

Gosh @Howsimplywonderful Are you saying this came from Royal Reporters?

Yes. They sunk even lower in my estimation when they actually did interviews (4 of the RRs including Dickie Arbiter and Ingrid Seward) criticising the OW interview before having seen it! They got caught out with the donkey bit though, serve them right.

They made right tits of themselves.

GreenistheGrass · 26/03/2023 10:58

There are white supremacists going on public record as saying Archie needs to be killed because biracial children are an abomination.

Two members of a Neo Nazi terrorist organisation are in prison for planning to kill Harry for being a race traitor.

Someone sent Meghan white powder with a death threat, that caused the office to be evacuated for fear it was anthrax.

There are hundreds, possibly thousands of comments online calling Meghan and her children racial slurs and throwing racial hate at them, including calling for them to be killed.

There were hundreds of Meghan hate threads here, mainly before and right after the wedding, including many that were deleted for racism.

When a black Mumsnetter asked for a Black Mumsnetter section, some Mumsnetters were so enraged that black people had the audacity to want a place to chat they stalked and doxed her offboard, abused her non-stop, and even photoshopped fake DMs to try to get her kicked off this forum.

During the engagement a racist cartoon of Meghan as an ape chained up in a zoo throwing her own excrement at the Queen trended on Twitter.

Racism kills. When George Floyd was suffocated in cold blood, there were threads here calling him scum and a criminal and acting like he deserved to be held down on a filthy pavement and murdered in cold blood.

When the BLM protests happened in London, there were threads here calling the protestors "thugs", "animals" and "criminals." (Yet when the far right counter protest happened, those same posters were screeching their heads off about free speech and saying stuff like "I don't agree with Neo Nazis but I defend to the death their right to express their opinion because free speech is important.")

When Ahmaud Arbery was hunted down like an animal and murdered in cold blood, there were threads here repeating the rumours that there'd been a burglary in the area and saying the murderers' "fear" of Arbery was understandable and justified, making out that if a crime is committed in your area, it's perfectly acceptable to go out and murder all the black people you see.

Joking about killing or physically endangering biracial kids is all part of a racist society that defends racist violence. The fact people are defending a racist joke (while losing their shit about people making valid points saying "you wouldn't be defending this if it was Louis") says everything about how kids who aren't white aren't seen as human beings, and about how Mumsnet has a very serious problem with racism.

Howsimplywonderful · 26/03/2023 11:00

There were plenty of memes, some of which (ones above) made it into articles in various newspapers, I’m not going to cross check at all the articles though for the writers

These memes show that the Balcony dangle is a lazy recycled joke which was originally shown about Prince George.

the balcony dangle is such a cultural reference though

Whaeanui · 26/03/2023 11:00

Mumsnet has a very serious problem with racism. Yes it does. I come and go here, was back for 24 hours and encountered two racist posters, one who followed me around mocking my culture. MN eventually removed comments but they’re still members.
