Sickening and dehumanising and mocking small child.

This man is a member of the royal rota, invited to cover royal engagements.

I hope H&M stay away from the coronation.

We are complaining about people "jokingly" talking about violence against a child, and taking the piss out of a child.

Howsimplywonderful · 25/03/2023 16:40

Surely more of a concern is Harry ‘tripping’ on the balcony - and I don’t mean the falling over your feet kind.

VisitationRights · 25/03/2023 16:41

What he said is vile and people defending it as just a joke are just as vile.

Baggingarea · 25/03/2023 16:41

Is it just me or are some people desperate to find offence in anything?

Soooo... if it were Louis's birthday and a RR said Charles sshould dangle him over the balcony like MJ did... you'd be OK with that? You'd think... that's hilarious?! The RR would probably be sacked to be honest.

There would be an outcry. But anything goes with the children of H&M.

Sometimes things are just offensive

themessygarden · 25/03/2023 16:47

I read it as a sarcastic comment about H&M and their need and quest for Royal validation and proximity. I don't know how anyone could read that comment as promoting violence against a child or taking the piss out of the kids. It was clearly directed at the parents, although it was unnecessary to refer to the kids to make a sarcastic point.

Whaeanui · 25/03/2023 16:47

If Harry made this joke about Louis, you would lose your minds

blitheringblackberries · 25/03/2023 16:50

MJ was famously obsessed with his children's privacy, but then dangled one on a balcony.

Harry and Meghan are famously obsessed with their children's privacy, but are reportedly keen for them to appear on the balcony.

It's a harmless joke.

And whoever said that jokes would not be made about Louis or George must have been living under a rock

'Unnecessary'

I must remember that if every anyone says anything about Louis or the other two.

There are 4 RRs cackling with laughter about Archie's birthday, and saying on the balcony Charles will be blowing out the candles and then Jobson says hey, he could then dangle him over the balcony.

I'd call it a bit more than 'unnecessary'

Reportedly = something the DM has made up for clickbait

Let us be clear about what is happening here: this is part of a media hate campaign against Harry and his family. And some responses on here show that it is working.

It has implications for all of us, if it becomes acceptable to make jokes about killing a 4-year-old child - if even a child member of the RF can be a target then what about other children? Fancy having jokes made about the deaths of your own small DC?

And the Palace have nothing at all to say about it, any more than they did about Jeremy Clarkson's hateful diatribe against Meghan. So the RF have no objection to hate speech, even against the King's own small grandchild. Read into that what you will.

I don't care what anyone thinks about Harry & Meghan; they don't deserve this. What have they done wrong exactly, except leave the Royal Family as personal choice for themselves like 1000's of the rest of us do every day. Good. If I were them I wouldn't be back either.

What is happening is someone mocking a couple who have basically made themselves a laughingstock. It's no different to South Park.

No. it’s laughing at the idea of a young child being dangled off a balcony. If that’s your culture, you should take a long look at yourselves.

Rubbish
they would have then said Harry not his small son
people love to defend horrible things just because they don’t like h&m

Really?

So it's the same as an American programme that that takes the piss out of our RF, not just H&M, but K&W too

Why conflate it with an american satire comedy. We are in the UK

blitheringblackberries · 25/03/2023 20:10

It's like the sort of joke Private Eye would make too.

So many jokes were made about Michael Jackson in Berlin and the baby on the balcony over the years. The inspiration - given the issues around 'privacy' and the constant speculation about children on balconies is obvious.

As Meghan and Harry have done so many things to turn people against them, I suppose its understandable that people wanting to defend them will cling to this sort of thing and try to escalate it into a major drama.

AskAwayAgain · 25/03/2023 20:11

Okay I have got the memo. It is fine to make violent jokes against a child if you do not like their parents.

They could out a stop
to all this if they just confirmed whether they and their ‘offspring’ will be attending. They love to drag it out.
The offspring won’t be there unless they get the money shot.

AskAwayAgain · 25/03/2023 20:20

The children are not invited by Charles.

It never ocurred to me.

Maybe you're a different generation to me, it's the first thing I thought of.

I don't read tabloids, before anyone weighs in with that.

To say that it is making jokes about killing a 4-year-old child is a bit of a stretch, even by Sussex Squad standards 😂

Roussette · 25/03/2023 20:45

I am old, I know all about MJ. (had tickets for his concert in London, then he died) It never occurred to me, not for one minute.
