Kate missing from Commonwealth reception

Just noticed that Kate was at the Commonwealth service, but did not attend the reception afterwards. Seems a strange decision. I wonder why?

She'd done a couple of hours' 'work'. Poor sausage was probably exhausted.

I'm baffled by these 'worried about people I don't know' threads and all the speculation over their health.
Are people genuinely worried (I doubt it) or just nosey ?

Where do all their staff live such as nanny who does not live on site and how do they manage that at night? Their Adelaide Cottage only has 4 bedrooms so where do staff stay when the parents are ''out'' are night functions? Also does Kate really take children to and from school near Windsor - how can she do that and manage other functions even in London? Where does she keep all her clothes and jewellery - Kensington Palace? If so she goes from Windsor to Kensington to prepare for a London event? The cottage was home to Group Capt. Peter Townsend at one time and fairly modest by royal standards though they are moving to Fort Belvedere soon but the Cottage can hardly meet their needs now.

They have 4 houses, who knows how much time they spend at Adelaide. The staff accommodation is about 2 minutes walk from the cottage. Maybe there is space in there for the children to sleep with the nanny or maybe they spend so little time at the cottage that it does not matter.
No Kate does not do the school run every day.
Kates clothes are kept in a warehouse/storage unit and staff rotate clothes.

It was a bit odd, the article I read said there was a mistake and she was never meant to be down as attending the reception. Unless that was a lie? It’s not great on a PR front if she’s down to turn up somewhere and then just doesn’t. For something like this I suppose there’s loads of other royals so it doesn’t really matter.

Seriously!!!! Anything. She doesn’t feel well, she has a parents evening, it’s her mums birthday, Louis is being impossible and will only do his reading and spellings for her, she’s seeing a friend, one of the kids is ill and she promised to be back quickly. Who knows? Who cares?

It really doesn’t require any ‘insight’ whatsoever to see that what is required of royals is a blandly smiling, suitably-attired set of surfaces capable of reading short, uncontroversial speeches someone else has researched and written, for carefully-uncontroversial charities, cutting ribbons and laying wreaths. And the mental gymnastics engaged in by those pretending this constitutes a life that is in any way comparable to the lives of the majority of their ‘subjects’ are pretty strenuous.

Fort B is on lease to Galen Weston's family, but maybe the lease is ending soon. Anyway I came across this.....

That's from last year. Media knew they would move to Windsor but not which property so they named a lot of them.... Fort Belvedere was one of them.

Instead they moved to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor.

Maybe in the future they will move to Royal Lodge or they will stay in Adelaide Cottage until William is king and then they will move into Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace. Nobody knows.
