Kate missing from Commonwealth reception

Just noticed that Kate was at the Commonwealth service, but did not attend the reception afterwards. Seems a strange decision. I wonder why?

its hayfever season, she probably forgot to take an extra dose so went home to take medication. Or see to the children. Or do another engagement elsewhere. Or a dress fitting or idk,..anything.

She's had some good Botox, hasn't she? The picture where she's smiling widely but has no crinkles around the eyes is a dead giveaway.

Not a criticism at all by the way - I like Botox myself - I just wish I had the money and access to the very best practitioners as she does. She never tends to look "heavy" with it around the eyebrows, as some people can.

This! Why on earth are you so concerned about the activities of someone you don't know, and feel the need to advertise that to a bunch of random strangers - it's odd.

@FlyOnAWing So the emphasis on that is “I think…”. There’s nothing wrong with two people who are married looking happy and it seems as though they’re sharing a joke. Some photographers look for those natural moments to take a picture and others prefer to make people pose. My wedding photos didn’t have me and DH posing, but rather the moments when me and DH were exchanging a joke, me talking to my friends, my DH’s brothers talking to my siblings etc. None of it was posed as we agreed with our photographer that it seemed more natural to capture moments in the wedding as opposed to posing. We did take group photos though and that was the only time when anyone “posed” for the camera.

To be fair I think once you've put in the shifts like she has you get to have some leeway to giving some things a miss. She's been parading in stiff, structured clothes with 6inch stilettos for years now, if she wants a break from it to lounge on the sofa in thermal socks then so be it.

@Samcro I agree! A working royal is an oxymoron. My point is less about them being workshy leeches who spend their 'working' days shaking hands with plebs and opening state fayres, it's more that playing 'the part' as it were is a requirement for Kate, but at this stage if I were her, I too would think I'm allowed to miss one or two things.

God only knows. MN probably call it troll hunting. I think they should bring in a system whereby you can only change names once a week.
