How do you envisage them to be like if they stayed in the UK?

I remember Meghan's puff piece editing Vogue. It was cringe Edward Enninful fawning all over someone who a few months before was an aspiring actress who noone had really heard of..

Also the bump rubbing at the fashion awards - weird

I really liked her in the beginning and thought she’d be brilliant but changed my mind fairly quickly. Truth is, she seems to cause problems with her family and friends and for someone who claims to want to be a force for good she seems to attract a lot of bad feeling. She is estranged from her family, bar her mother and now from his too. Plus he’s estranged from most of his friends too. There are times when they’ve both said things which are blatantly untrue. If people I knew in RL acted like this I would avoid them. I don’t feel good saying this but it’s based on the adage ‘if someone shows you who they are, believe them.’

I think they'd be doing fine to be honest, some people would like them and some wouldn't, but on the whole I suspect they'd be doing well in their royal appearances and there wouldn't be the same level of dislike/hostility as presumably they wouldn't have been as hypocritical and made money from him bad mouthing his family.

Despite the narrative now changing she was well liked at the start and lots were excited he had found someone and was getting married. In an alternate universe I imagine they'd be close with W&K and would have been an important part of the upcoming coronation and beyond. To be honest even if they'd have moved but not burnt all the bridges I think they'd have been welcomed back for events.

I think they could've done well whatever they did but it's the whingeing and criticising their own families that has turned people against them. All that dirty laundry.
Sometimes less really is more

What should have happened (IMO), Meghan could have got involved in all the arts charities and functions and done some voice over work and Harry could have been made Duke of Edinburgh. It would have upped their standing.
It’s so sad that it’s come to this.

I think they would keep involving in work for charities, working with kids, with vulnerable people, but in the name of Royal Family, not their own. Obviously they would be more relaxed regarding lifestyle and looks, because Harry isn't the future king, so he's not obliged to many many things that W&K are.

I think it's a real shame that they left. With the deaths of Prince Philip and the Queen (which were entirely predictable in the short-term), and everyone moving up a rung, there is plenty of good work and highlighting of good causes they could've done and plenty of glamorous events they could've graced. They were really popular, particularly with young people, and the RF benefited from the diversity and glamour that Meghan brought with her. She will never be as big a star outside the RF as she was within it and neither will Harry. They claim they want to do philanthropy on their own terms, but most people would kill for the global platform they had merely as a result of being members of the British RF. Outside it, they will become increasingly irrelevant, but as the sidekicks of the future king and queen they could've been real global stars for the next 40-odd years.

I think they would have been criticised more and more by the press. And eventually she would either have gone back to the US or just become a non working royal. Them being working royals was never going to work in the long term.
