Either before or after William appeared on the scene? Mn is very disparaging about the Middleton's so following on from the has anyone met Meghan thread... Has anyone met the Middleton's or Kate?

I don't think posters are sneering about the job she did, more about the accusations of her apparently treating store staff etc like scivvies.
If the stories are true and she really did speak to shop assistants like rubbish, then she should be called out for it. And reminded that she too had a normal job once and was a normal person.
She is now famous but only by being the mother of a princess.
I don't know what's true and I've never met any of them, but I like to imagine William and Kate are lovely.

But honestly, how likely is it that Carole Middleton would do anything that would embarrass her daughter? They're a close knit, supportive family. Carole's not going to have the Daily Mail sniffing around for scandal because she's asked for a till to be opened and if she's been shoplifting (again ) and people know about it how long do you think before it's tabloid fodder?

@Iamthewombat from what the irish posters are saying is that there are very few private schools in Ireland & parents don't choose these for academics as state school options are good. Irish speaking schools attract a different demographic & are also a state option & any kids are free to go.
@mathanxiety is this correct as this poster thinks I'm being very snobby. Nothing is stopping any child attending an Irish language school, am I correct?

Off point completely but my dc have had Ukrainians in their class since September & they are flying with their English & also teaching my dc's a few Ukrainian words. I'm sure your pupils will be tri-lingual in no time @CliffsofMohair . Back to the thread!

She went to Santa Sabina which is a well-known private school in Dublin and it considers itself a cut above buttermilk, ha ha.

Santa Sabina is not a private school and I very much doubt it considers itself a cut above anywhere.

I was eating lunch at Daphne’s when Kate and Carole sat down next to me. They pushed a lot of salad around a plate and had an argument about what to get Pippa’s children for Christmas. Carole wanted to go to Marie Chantal in Walton Street to get some co-ordinating pastel clothes but Kate said no and they had an argument. Kate said, and the words are still ringing in my ears to this day, “wouldn’t it be funny to buy them a load of red plastic shite,” and Carole said no, Pippa would t like it but Kate was adamant. They finished their hot water and left, going in separate directions (Carole to posh clothes shop and Kate to TK Maxx) but not before Kate left £100 on the table as a tip.
I know that’s just a wind up, but the last time I ate there was in 2005 😂,

@Kateforqueen yes that's right anyone can attend an Irish speaking school. I know on MN they are always held up as being a bit more desirable than other schools but it's certainly not the case where I live as one of the longest established ones has a big banner on the railing's advertising places for next September and another Irish speaking school near my mums is far from desirable.

I think she has naturally good hair but still I would wager five whole pounds that she's had some extensions too. Her hair is way thicker now than it was in the past.

I think Kate has amazing hair. Yes she possibly does have extensions but honestly I don't think anything or any money could make my hair look like that. My mum has that thick gorgeous hair. Even now in her seventies when she's had it blow dried it looks fab, really thick and shiny without an ounce of frizz.

She definitely wears clip in, very expensive extensions for major events. 100%.

Definite extensions. It’s not an insult! Any more than “she wears makeup” would be an insult. She has the money, time and resources to look like she does, and if I were photographed that often and had her time on my hands I’d do the same.

Michael's grandmother was very wealthy and left money in trust specifically for future education. It seems to be accepted that paid for a lot of the school fees. Presumably the Middleton's could have topped it up, maybe with an extra bung from Uncle Gary.

I think when she wears her hair down she has no extension , but maybe when it’s up in a pony tail or updo , for extra volume .

If you look at photos from 2007/8 you can clearly see she has extensions now. They are fantastically well done!

It’s much harder to hide extensions - bonds or clip ins when your hair is up. (cf: Love Island )

For an up do they would clip in a hair piece in the main body of style. V different to discreet extensions.

She has beautiful thick hair anyway. The extensions just make it look ultra amazing.

Maybe she gets whatever the wealthy woman's version of a halo hair piece is.
