What will be the end game ? where will H&M be in 10 years ?

I cannot see this ending well sadly
I am not an H&M supporter but neither do I 'hate them' . I wished them well when they left the RF and hoped they would be happy in their new life.
But this is insane... I cannot see how it can end in any peace for H at least.
I predict Meghan will leave him and he will end up either crawling back to the RF or sad and alone. Sadly I even fear for his long term sanity and fear he may have a life time of MH problems

In reality I'm fearful for his mental health. Where do things end quite often for young men with poor mental health?

Megan- she will split from him because he will become more unstable and she will prioritise the kids ( and her image). She will marry a very rich but very private individual.

MissMarpleRocks · 10/01/2023 05:06

@AcrossthePond55 what’s the view of them in the US? I know a huge country but at least in your area? Could Meghan become a politician?

I hope they stay together. They have dcs for a start off. I hope they now they’ve said their several pieces that they find some peace & enjoy each other & look at what they have rather than what they don’t.

Stripped back to basics Harry has escaped the institution that had a role to play in the early death of his mother, dress it up how you will that's the central inconvenient truth at the heart of all this. Good luck to him it won't be easy but he had set his path along that road. The British establishment may hate him for that and a section of a weaponised British public but the world won't. The Prince of all our 💕

Intheroommadeasy · 10/01/2023 10:38

Harry may well have escaped physically but he sure as heck hasn't mentally. If you were really happy you'd just get on with your life surely?

I do think they'll end up apart, him drinking too much, very lost hanging about with the wrong people. Two such needy individuals don't stand a chance. It's really sad.

Think Kate is such a totally different character, a lot to carry but she's definitely more likely to be able to do it with her stable family background etc.

Orangefir · 10/01/2023 10:43

His mental health decline further and I can see that he could return to drink and drugs

The California lifestyle will grate on him after a while and he will rebel

Im not sure if they will divorce though. It could end up a Clinton style arrangement. I can’t see Meghan wanting to give up the Duchess title ever. However, he will end up shagging about

bakalava · 10/01/2023 10:45

If they adhere to that California spiritual set of values I am well acquainted with, then staying together would be acting untrue to themselves. The idea behind it is that an authentic, loving relationship will generate positive energy, happiness and goodwill with healthy children (I'm not just talking physical health). Look at all the hatred and negativity that their relationship has generated. Her grievances have sucked the life force out of him.

Right now, they are countering the criticism by play acting at being happy and creating an idyll. There is no way that such an energetically dark union can yield anything positive and they will burn out dramatically.

Nicecow · 10/01/2023 10:49

I think Harry will run off with Kate, and they'll live on a remote island somewhere 'living off the land'

StarInTheHeavens · 10/01/2023 10:50

Wow @bakalava So well put!

notangelinajolie · 10/01/2023 11:05

After a long stint in a residential rehab somewhere in the UK, H will be quietly moved into a room at uncle Andrew’s.

Archie and Lili will remain un the US with their mother and billionaire step father.

Orangefir · 10/01/2023 11:08

Yes 100% rehab @notangelinajolie

There’s a million options out there in CA and they used to dealing with the A listers. Will be for ‘exhaustion’ …that’s what they say isn’t it

The eyes , the fake smiles , the virtual anorexia the fact that as Princess of Wales was Diana's title who was an effortless superstar who genuinely warmed to people and was loved. That's the job - it's the Firm after all. If you can't do it then one has to wonder why we need these folks after all. I've had jobs that I hated and they destroy you. Imagine being trapped for life - Harry has truly escaped.

I really resent the assumption that naturally slim women must have eating disorders, be on extreme diets and obsess about food and their figure. I've been on the receiving end of this a couple of times in my life and it's quite unpleasant to have other women's insecurities and food isssues projected onto you.

Kate has a naturally slim frame and has been outdoorsy/athletic all her life. If she'd married an ordinary lad from down the road and had 3 kids she'd likely look just the same.

I'm no royalist but I think it's interesting that the down to earth horsey ones (Anne, Zara) seem most comfortable in themselves.

Harry needs an occupation. What does he put on his travel visas? How will he answer when his kids get to the age when they ask "what do you do, Daddy?"

Yes & no aristocratic woman from his "old upper class circle" will touch him with a barge pole... They wouldn't have married him prior to Meghan certainly won't after!

This is sadly true ( and really well said) the obsessive love, the isolating themselves from all family and the resentment ... doesn't really make for a happy ever after

I'm on the West Coast. In my area the overriding feeling appears to be one of either disinterest or disdain.

As far as whether or not she could be a politician, honestly who knows? After Trump, I guess anything is possible. But there's a difference between a politician and a successful candidate for elected office. I don't think she'd have much of a chance for major office as a Democrat, in choosing candidates we don't seem to be as blinded by celebrity nor as susceptible to hyperbole as certain segments of the GOP. As much as she tries to have gravitas, she still comes across as a Valley Girl. More Sarah Palin than Nancy Pelosi if you get my drift. But stranger things <cough Boebert, <cough>Taylor Greene <cough> have happened.

I agree, I hope they all ride off into the sunset together. But I doubt it. I think Harry is too aggrieved and hasn't gotten the validation (or apologies) he thought he would to go quietly. And I think Meghan is too ambitious to settle into a life as a 'Montecito Matron' shuttling her kids to private school and serving on charity committees.

Frankola · 10/01/2023 12:57

I can see them living exactly the way Edward and Wallis did. In some exciled mansion in the US where Harry lives in the past and makes everyone treat him like a Prince. Meanwhile Meghan will grow increasingly discontent and pursue "other interests" although he remains completely and utterly dependent on her.

bakalava · 10/01/2023 13:00

So true. She has gained credibility in the UK associating herself with a lifestyle brand that is completely cliché in her own state.

Usou · 10/01/2023 13:00

He'll end up living with Uncle Andrew.

People will have forgotten her.

bakalava · 10/01/2023 13:03

He basically claimed kudos for not being a pervert himself but he has been involved in a number of liaisons and has always partied hard. He is not at the sad, old, divorced dad stage yet. They will be able to swap tips, I guess!

TheWayTheLightFalls · 10/01/2023 13:07

Divorced, H back in the UK living a comparably private life, M in the US with their kids and remarried.

I said this exact thing on another thread. I agree.

I think Harry's relationship dynamic with Meghan is very unhealthy, based on the loss of his mother and his being 'second' to William. I think her relationship with him is, if not exactly mercenary, but based more on attraction to his position than his personality.

MissMarpleRocks · 10/01/2023 13:09

Thank you @AcrossthePond55 that’s an interesting perspective.

Deffo a stint on real housewives

hobbledyhoy · 10/01/2023 13:16

Other PP's have already pointed out the similarities but they appear to be a modern Edward and Wallis. It's all really rather sad and I fear will be a huge regret one day for a man who, when the fog lifts, will realise what he's done.

MissMarpleRocks · 10/01/2023 13:18

Did the fog ever lift for the Duke of W? I think it did for the Duchess.
