The royal family

will the Taliban anger be the perfect excuse to ban Harry and Meghan from the coronation?

Just that really. Harry has upped the terror threat and put himself, his family and the royal family at risk, along with the british people.

Can the King say, in view of his comments and the risk to Harry personally, it would be better if he did not attend?

🤣🤣🤣 Nah, don’t give two shits what misogynist terrorists think. Not going to appease the Taliban.

If H&M are uninvited it will be because no drama llamas are allowed in the abbey cause they leave a trail of shit behind them.

I think they will be invited to the main part of it which is fully televised but none of the associated gatherings and dinners. They will get their photos but little of the gossip. I think they need to keep a closer watch over Eugenie who seems to have a nice but dull life and is possibly living vicariously through their never ending soap opera.

To be frank, I think rhe Coronation was scheduled on Archie's birthday in order to give them both an out.

Charles will look good inviting him, but Harry won't make it due to Archie's birthday.

It will be interesting to watch all the people here bad mouth Harry for not showing up though.

Yes, because a once in a lifetime royal event, requiring a massive security and military operation, and needing to ensure the availability of high level church, military and government officials, as well as foreign dignatories, was absolutely planned around the birthday of a 4 year old.

I think if they do invite them, and at this stage I really think they shouldn't be, it will be like the Jubilee in the sense that great care will be taken to ensure that they are never in the same photo frame as any senior royal. I agree they will not be invited to any of the social events as they are a diplomatic risk and neither the royals themselves nor any of the invited dignitaries will want to speak to them in case their conversation appears on the next NF 'documentary'.

So everyone is saying he should not be invited or attend, but when I bring up what could be a very easy "out" for both of them, that isn't good enough and Harry is bad.

🙄

SunbathingDragon · 14/01/2023 18:25

I don’t think an excuse is needed for Harry to be uninvited.

I'm saying the notion that an extremely complex state event would be organised around a 4 year old's birthday is nonsensical.

And I don't think he will attend if he is. I offered up one possible scenario, that is all.

Mysterian · 14/01/2023 18:32

I think Harry will find an excuse not to go as he's massively unpopular.

He's a coronation chicken.

Why should they keep a closer watch over Eugenie?👀

I think the date was to do with a bank holiday thing???

If I were Harry and Meghan I'd be a lot less worried about the Taliban and more concerned that I'd given the darker machinations behind the scenes a very convenient cover story if the pair of them were to become 'victims of a terror attack' in the same way his mother was a 'victim of car crash caused by the paparazzi'.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 15/01/2023 12:21

the darker machinations behind the scenes

She was in a car , driven by an Al Fayed employee (who was drunk) and with Al Fayed security - who did not have the authority to tell her to wear a seat belt. As has been pointed out a wearisome number of times, the one person who DID wear a seat belt survived. Trying to kill someone by crashing their car is daft anyway - they might walk away without a scratch.
