Has William's alleged affair been mentioned yet or is he saving for book 2?

Surprised this hasn't been exposed, thought that would be the big reveal. I'm doubting there's any truth to it now unless he's saving it for book 2?

I've never believed that William had had an affair, for 2 reasons.
In no particular order...

  1. He adores his kids and wouldn't, imo, cause them the hurt brought on by a broken marriage.

  2. You only have to look, at how he looks at Kate.

That is such a naive attitude to affairs. For a start around 40% of marriages have affairs. Royal marriages higher.

You are assuming if Kate found out she'd leave him. Why on earth would she do that? She knew when she got married that part of the deal was turning a blind eye to affairs. Shed be daft to walk away from being queen just because he's pegging some country bumpkin. Not everyone sees fidelity as a black line in a marriage. Lots of women stay with cheating DPs even when they've got a lot less to lose than her.

Just because he loves/ looks lovingly at his DW doesn't mean he won't look elsewhere for sex. KM had notoriously bad hyperemesis during pregnancy. She probably wasn't up for it a lot of the time and had 3 such pregnancies. It wouldn't surprise me if she agreed to an 'arrangement' if sex was off the table for so long.

Of course we'll never get 'proof' of an affair. The only real proof would be a DNA test on a child born of the affair and that's not going to happen.

There's just no way he hadn't had affairs, plural.

Why on earth would you say this? What proof do you have?

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 06/01/2023 20:31

The person who alleged this has already said he made it up FFS

Yes but it's like that story about Bob Holness playing sax on 'Baker Street'. Stuart MacConie has admitted that he made it up but people still think it's true.

The Turnip Toffs story in the DM sparked the whole thing and it still hasn’t been properly explained. Certainly the story didn’t start with Giles. He was speculating just like everyone else.

Well we don’t know if he DTD but at best he got frisky with a lovely lady not his wife (she was home with the kids 🤢)

Should note that the above is never what they talk about when they talk about PW affair. Rose could really be a red herring if u want to get conspiratorial 😆

How boringly predictable.
Days of damaging revelations about Harry who is now a laughing stock around the world and his (and Meghan's) usual defenders surprisingly absent on threads. So it's time to stir up rumours about William again. Even though they are baseless lies. . Unlike all the talk about Harry, since we are hearing his truth.

I can’t stand Harry and Meghan! I am on several threads speaking about how much I can’t stand them. I have known for years about the palace despising her and said things years ago about things under a different username and was ridiculed then too because people couldn’t believe me and I was called a liar.

again, this will all come out eventually and I will be back with a “I told you so” thread. If I told you the name of the person im
friends with in the royal family, what would that do? I could still
be lying?

I love wills
and Kate but he has had an affair and their marriage was under strain for a while. Why people are getting so pissed off about that I have no idea - he’s not your husband!

Or, someone got to him and made him retract.

It reminds me Janet Jackson (it was either Janet or Rebbie I think) said they believe that Michael did molest a child and they saw evidence, but the 'Family' got to her and threatened to cut her off financially and she retracted.

Even murderers confess and then retract if they're scared.

It was a specific thing to make up. I'm not saying I believe William had an affair, I don't know. Personally I can't imagine William having an affair - but it's a rather specific accusation with names. So, I wouldn't believe just because he retracted it, that means he made it up in the first place.

I would rather my children heard my truth than read the countless books written about me by people who don’t even know me.

They could probably hear the truth directly from your mouth though, being your children and all. No need to put their lives at risk by publicly provoking the taliban. Or telling the world your brother is circumcised and father sleeps with a teddy.

Family friends in North Norfolk who are friends with workers on the Sandringham Estate. Uber royalists but admit that they are true. Not really bothered whoever believes that or not.

The seals off the Norfolk coast say it isn’t true. They know because Meghan sang t to them.

@Serenster I have seen on MN others sharing evidence of this with you.

But I will share an article in the Australian press anyway. Just google, there is lots.

That article basically hinges on Giles Corey's quote. He has now admitted that he knows its bollocks

Cherryana · 07/01/2023 09:21

Don’t you even think the timing is a bit wierd…lunch with MM and PH, bragging style over confident tweet and the ‘oh no I was drunk tweeting’…

Sure.

If you take money from the public purse and represent moral and civil authority (head of the CofE for the monarch) robust public scrutiny rules apply. We the people have a right to know about who rules over us.

Vera99 actually brings up a good point there. As an heir (now the heir) to the throne, William will be in a position of public authority, and will be the nominal head of the Church of England. Him having an affair could be considered relevant to people’s views on his suitability to hold high public office.

Given this however, if people did know he’d had an affair, or there was an injunction preventing anyone from saying he did, why haven’t any MPs taken advantage of the absolute privilege of the House of Commons and called it out? They can’t be sued for defamation of contempt of court if they do so. And individual MPS had no hesitation in calling out Ryan Giggs and Fred Goodwin for getting superinjunctions - because they thought wasn’t in the public interest for these matters to be concealed in such a way. It’s not like there are no MPs with openly republican views, either, or that the Palace has any control over what individual MPs say in parliament.

And yet, once again, we see no MP has said anything about anything. Which leads us back to the conclusion that there is nothing to disclose.

Family friend is a lawyer. He told us a while back his firm was handling NDAs in respect of Williams’s affair with the woman in Norfolk. No reason for him to lie about it.

Well, your family friend is an absolute disgrace to his profession. Lawyers are supposed to maintain confidentiality at all cost, not go blabbing to their friends about people's personal business. They should be reported for this and sacked.

Days of damaging revelations about Harry who is now a laughing stock around the world and his (and Meghan's) usual defenders surprisingly absent on threads

Incorrect. I was on a thread a lot until it filled yesterday, and I have just posted this morning on one.
And bear in mind, there are actually 34 (YES really!) running and posted on just this morning, it is totally overwhelming!

So don't throw insults at anyone who is a 'usual defender'. I can't keep up with the Outraged!

Serenster · 07/01/2023 09:46

I can't keep up with the Outraged!

Honestly, who could! 🤣

Ohnonevermind · 07/01/2023 09:46

I don’t believe a professional lawyer allegedly tasked with such a matter would go around chatting about it.

The RF have access to the best lawyers, who are known for discretion, not getting their friends to blab over mumsnet

Blossomtoes · 07/01/2023 09:46

It’s a tough job @Roussette. I’m sure the Sussexes appreciate your altruism and dedication.

Novella4 · 07/01/2023 09:47

@Serenster your 'conclusion' is flawed
But time will tell .

More pressingly I've been wondering how Charles can be head of the COE as a self confessed adulterer .
The queen could not attend his marriage to Camilla as she was head of the church . But NOW Charles, the offending party whose behaviour caused the queen to have to absent herself is now head of said church ??

Whether the queen went to a blessing is irrelevant.

Also. Chalres blatantly lied when he swore Camilla would never be queen .
Unless he saw a weekend at Bernie's situation with an ailing queen and took it .
Charming

Coxspurplepippin · 07/01/2023 09:49

Serenster, also the point that these superinjunctions have no jurisdiction outside England and Wales, yet no other country anywhere is reporting on it.

SingingWithSeals · 07/01/2023 09:50

I can’t keep up with the Outraged!

@Roussette I’ve seen more Amused than Outraged personally, with many Concerned.

Novella4 · 07/01/2023 09:51

@Roussette
Yes I was wondering if I am a usual 'defender '

This of course posters who literally LIVE on these threads . I run on for five mins here and there and I realise I don't even reply enough to other posters . I lose track of whichever thread I'm on
Royalist posters are trying the Daily Mail line that Harry has made a fool of himself . That isn't the vibe I'm getting across this platform and others .

Roussette · 07/01/2023 09:54

Thank you so much. Yes, it's appreciated, glad you recognise that!

But 34 threads running busily is too much even for me! It's making me not want to post on any of them, but I'm glad you've caught up with me on my brief visit here!
