Do Harry and Meghan realise hardly anyone supports them?

So everywhere there seems to be complete negativity towards the Netflix documentary and the autobiography coming out. They seem to be universally slated as whingers.
so how much do you think this feeds back to them? It must be v easy to live in a bubble with close supporters telling them they are doing a grand job. But how much reality do you think gets through of how badly they are coming across,

What has any of this got to do with it?!

The issue isn't religious rituals, books about it or even 'circumcision parties' <wtaf>, the issue is Harry revealing his brother has been circumcised!

A massive invasion of privacy, no?

Try reading the point. If you miss it again I'll try putting it in words of one syllable.

Gosh. Way to go derxa let's knock a whole city and its inhabitants and the OP 😯🙄

Imagine if someone came along and said where you lived was 'the most godawful place they'd ever had the misfortunate to live'?

Rude.

It's my lived experience. Three horrible years

No it isn’t a personal attack on you.

It is a factual comment.

Your posts have been reported and deleted on the basis of personal attacks.

And yet again you attempt to obfuscate the truth.

And you can't tell me when or where and I can promise you... despite your use of words like 'obfuscate', I know nothing of any posts of mine deleted for personal attacks.

There you go. A factual comment from me. Touche

Interestingly Prep and I haven't got time to research it... there are people saying that there are very many books out there by military people detailing how many people they have killed and when. I don't think this is new.

Are any of them likely in the foreseeable future to be taking a central part in a major constitutional event that will be televised worldwide? In fact, did any of those books supply headline news in the US and UK for days on end?

Kerrymorning · 08/01/2023 10:40

Roussette · 08/01/2023 10:36

Well... I wish MN would notify me of my personal attacks cos I know nothing about it!

Still obfuscating.

Yes you have claimed ignorance before but then directed to the deletions.

And gone quiet.

And then later claim you have never ever been deleted in all your years on MN….

Economical with the truth

I wouldn't be surprised - Also the MI5 terror threat remains at substantial and the comment came at least 24 hours ago.

No-one has ever directed me to any deleted posts. Ever. Not once.

I have had posts deleted for quoting deleted posts, I know nothing of deletions for personal attacks.
Yes, you are economical with the truth, I agree with that.

I've never seen your poster name before in my life and that's because this is your first post with that name, today, that tells me all I need to know.

I am going quiet now.
With you.

I have no idea. I read there have been many books with details such as this, I know no more at the moment.

You do know because you have dialogued on it on earlier threads. Easy search for any poster to do. And there were many witnesses on those threads at that time who can recall your dialogue about being deleted for personal attacks.

Why not ask MNHQ to confirm that you have had posts deleted?

But as we see - doubling down and denying.

Be honest

No no I'm fine with words of more than one syllable thanks.

The thing is you're missing the point. It isn’t about religious ceremonies and circumcision parties, the point is Harold shouldn't have blabbed about William.

He doesn’t like his privacy being invaded why are you minimising him doing it to others??

LolaSmiles · 08/01/2023 10:48

Roussette
I've not seen you deleted on threads we've shared, and on some topics we've been on opposite sides of the fence.

There's something about the Harry and Meghan topic that gets bizarrely heated in places. A lot of people are weirdly invested in defending their 'side' of the RF/H&M conflict when I think most people don't have particularly strong feeling and/or think neither side is blameless and both court the press.

Thanks, me neither. I agree that a lot of people are weirdly invested in their 'side' and I can be counted as one. However, the one thing I try my best to do is to read the content of the post as opposed to concentrating on who the poster is.

Neither side is blameless, that I totally agree with.

Ah you did better than me - I lasted 1 !

Rhondaa · 08/01/2023 10:52

'Are any of them likely in the foreseeable future to be taking a central part in a major constitutional event that will be televised worldwide? In fact, did any of those books supply headline news in the US and UK for days on end?'

Yes it is staggering how some cannot see the difference between a quid paperback in The Works from an anonymous ex serviceman and Prince Harry and his global trashy book. He is well known, he has said things respected ex service men have condemned. Again, the minimising is just baffling.

BethJ62 · 08/01/2023 10:53

I am reading that some of his former friends are planning to speak out as they are so disgusted with him.

BethJ62 · 08/01/2023 10:55

When someone like Tim Collins speaks out against you , it’s serious .

PreparationPreparationPrep · 08/01/2023 10:16

Are you being serious ? So you don’t think security needs to be stepped up . Ok …..

Not for this alone, No I don't actually believe Harry on his own has that much clout especially as the Rf are against him. The media and Rf they can spin this anyway they like.

Fucking hell. Unbelievable.

ThighMistress · 08/01/2023 11:01

And then the Support crew will bleat that “it’s briefing against them”.

I agree that some friends must be dying to speak out. One in The Times who was charged with dealing with the Nazi uniform debacle says that at the time Harry never mentioned William and Kate.

I think some of what Harry says is probably true, but such a lot is also complete guff and then there are the totally petty grievances (eg the bedroom size) which detract from serious issues he may have encountered.

milti · 08/01/2023 11:14

@PreparationPreparationPrep glad to see you admit to an error - saves me copy and pasting all the real security advisors (no offence but you are not one of them) And yes - I am back - couldn’t resist as Harry has made such a fool of himself

PreparationPreparationPrep · 08/01/2023 11:23

I guess we will be informed by the real security advisors that the security threat has increased from substantial as a result of Harry's book comment.

Maybe the friend of a friend of the head of MI5 will be along to explain. What that means if it dies or dies not change

PreparationPreparationPrep · 08/01/2023 11:24

Good idea I think.

@MrsMaxDeWinter I think you mentioned a thread for people reading the book - there is one on here somewhere in amongst all the frothing and memes. Maybe see you there in a few days!

Yes good idea!

Roussette · 08/01/2023 11:41

This is an interesting article written by Catherine Mayer, biographer of Charles.

creamcoffee · 08/01/2023 11:48

even before the book came out people were fearful for the end of the monarchy!
the loss of the queen plays a large part in that.
