2023 Predictions

I thought I'd create a more light hearted thread. What are your (positive) predictions for the royal family in 2023.

I think King Charles will have a successful coronation.
Eugenie will have a baby.
The royal family will work more.

What are yours?

My prediction is that in 2 weeks time MN will have to create a separate Harry board and some sort of algorithm that automatically moves any threads with his name in the title into it!

Mumsnut · 01/01/2023 10:18

Meghan will do a book

Meghan will do a book

I think she'll wait much longer, maybe in 10 or so years.

The coronation will be impressive. H and M will be invited and will attend.

KC3 will do a good job and win more fans

Babies for Bea and Eug.

A tour to Canada by W and C and they will take the DC.

Loads of weirdos will go to London for the coronation.

I am going with DD and DGD.
Don’t think we are weird.

CathyorClaire · 01/01/2023 12:27

Another jaunt in the hard to shift ski chalet for Fergie, daughters and hanger-on hubbies this time with Andrew in tow as he no longer cares what the public thinks.

KC complaining about how the stinking crown slips every stinking time at his coronation.

Zara on I'm A Celeb to top up the school fee pot.

Harry's tell-all not revealing anything much at all.

@tatalan

Almighty God will take the crown somehow and awe-inspire everyone by showing he will defend the faith himself (also delegating tasks to his angels).

Exodus 20:14 ‘You must not commit adultery.’ 7th of the Ten Commandments.

King Charles' coronation could be invalidated because of affair, royal author says Royal biographer Anthony Holden claimed that King Charles' confession of adultery could spark a "constitutional crisis", and noted that the Church of England has never crowned a divorced man as King

Experts play down Coronation crisis fears after royal author Anthony Holden suggested King Charles's ceremony could be invalidated because of his 1994 affair confession Church of England has never crowned a divorced man as King, let alone one who has publicly confessed to adultery – with the relevant woman expecting to be crowned Queen Consort.

The Royal family will accept that their black and brown subjects in the UK and commonwealth are concerned that they or their institution is either institutionally racist or uncomfortable with non white people.

Royalists will stop mocking these very real concerns and realise all they do with mocking and whatabouttery is either reinforce the lived experience of British racism or that White people are in denial about the reality of our lives.

Can you please explain what institutionally racist means?

I looked it up and in relation to the police back in the Lawrence enquiry it meant providing a different service to different races.

Most of Meghan Markle's complaints are that she didn't get the different service she wanted, she only got the usual RF services.

So I'm confused. Does Charles and William give a different service to people on engagements depending on skin colour? How does that play out?

As you have told us they are institutionally racist you can obviously explain how?

Wasn't the church of England stsrted because the king wanted to divorce his first wife, his second wife was then queen until he beheaded her. Only for him to do it all a second time. So how can the fact Charles is divorced be of any concern to the church, it is their reason of existence...

Quite an existential problem for the Church of England. But King Henry VIII wanted a divorce so he could have a son and heir because his first wife could no longer give him that. It’s not unreasonable for a King to want/need a son and heir. Charles is different because he didn’t have a purpose like that for his divorce other than his adultery with Camilla.

Henry VIII was also already King when he created the Church of England. This will be the first time the Church of England will crown a King… and a Queen consort who he committed adultery with (and is not the mother to his sons and heirs).

Quite the soul searching conundrum. Maybe the chickens have come home to roost?

H&M will continue to say absolutely nothing at the tops of their voices.

People will continue to wring their hands over the general thinness that defines Catherine.

King Charles will look grandly insipid and opulently ordinary at the coronation. Of his onlooking sons one will endeavour to look suitably grave and noble, the other will scowl without restraint. Every look and movement will be picked over to death for years to come.

Andrew will still be a paedophile but it’s ok because his mum paid millions to make it all go away.

If you’re white you don’t get asked where you’re really from.

All of above and Buckingham Palace will be relinquished to the people as a stately home for day trips (for a fee)

Garden Parties to be regional

You can go to Buckingham Palace for a day trip now. I’ve done it. It was really shabby inside. Obs not the gold etc but the soft furnishings were distinctively “worn”.

sashagabadon · 02/01/2023 20:50

Harry and Meghan will release an album of love songs telling their stories about loss, hope and finding freedom (inspired by Katie Price and Peter Andre)

Lovetocare · 02/01/2023 21:10

William and Kate will have another baby? I feel like they may and I don't know why.

I rather think I would if I were wearing what appeared to be a National costume

CheeseMuffin · 03/01/2023 10:15

The question was not "where are you from?", it was "where are you really from?". And once the answer of "London" was given, it shouldn't have gone any further.

ThighMistress · 03/01/2023 12:01

Andrew and Fergie will quietly remarry and it will be top secret until she gushes about it on Twitter

coolmum123 · 03/01/2023 13:16

🤣🤣🤣🤣 this made me laugh so hard!!

HairyToity · 03/01/2023 13:42

There will be an online petition for a vote on whether to continue with a monarchy, which will have over a million signatures, and overshadow the coronation.

user1492757084 · 03/01/2023 14:36

The King and the charities he has set up will continue to do a great job.
The BRF will carry out many inclusive engagements at a local level.
The Coronation will go ahead as planned and Britain will celebrate in the streets.
New baby for Eugenie.

Roussette · 03/01/2023 14:46

Here's my prophesy unpopular though it might be,

Either H&M insist on giving up their titles or Charles takes them back. This then plants a huge spotlight on Andrew and the public are incensed that he still carries on as Duke of York and SF as Duchess of York. Charles is then forced to remove theirs (which he didn't want to do) and the MSM start digging on Andrew, because there are no more books or NF from H&M and they are just living their lives.

The digging on PA uncovers a huge load of skeletons which have a reverberating effect on the RF for years to come.

Can you honestly see H and M giving up their titles ?? I agree they should , as should Andrew but none of them will willingly give them up .
H and M “just living their lives “. Ok , living on fresh air ? I mean who will want to hear the thoughts of Harry and Meghan Mountbatten- Windsor unless it’s salacious royal gossip ?
There may well be a load of skeletons in Andrew’s cupboard but I don’t think he is the only one !
