There is no justification for writing such bile and no justification for publishing it. It leaves me feeling sick. And it makes me ashamed and fearful thst this is what is deemed acceptable in the British press.
I can't imagine what it feels like to be on the receiving end of that.
Of course M has not done anything that could warrant anything like that. It should be condemned without any qualification.

Sorry are you saying the OP has provided us details of the full article word for word or their own spin of it. With out the full wording or being presented it there is no context.

He hasn't written a satirical article. He isn't making a clever, witty point about anything in this article. It lacks subtlety and nuance; it is simply grotesque. No one can excuse it by pretending it fits the criteria of satire, or claim it can be ignored as 'just trolling' or invent an imaginary context which makes anything he said in any way acceptable. It's bad for all of us that the tabloids got away with printing undeniable and blatant racism about this woman in the past and now it's woman-hating thinly veiled rape fantasies. Whoever the target and whatever your feelings about her, this should be condemned as unfit to print.

Of course I don’t agree with it. He’s a fucking arse, always has been. But the fact he can write this, in mainstream media and attract absolutely no meaningless censure tells us an awful lot about that media. It’s not pretty.

I absolutely agree this shows us how horrendous the media is and how they are emboldened to whip up hatred and violence and prejudice. But that's not Clarkson making a clever point, it's simply him whipping up violence and hatred. Not for satire, just because that's him. It's not serving some other purpose. We can see what a shitshow the press is but that doesn't make it satire. Just a revolting man sharing his revolting desires.

Clarkson will truly see a high number of complaints as a badge of honour. It will make him ROAR with laughter and phone all his friends in glee. Best to ignore, it really really is. The man’s a professional Bear Poker.

@Saucery you can't honestly think that when he sat down to dictate this article he was thinking "how can I satirically reflect back people's prejudices and the media focus on MM?" I see your point but actually we shouldn't ignore men inciting violence against women in a national newspaper. When columnists go too far, they can be held accountable (see Katie Hopkins). This is too far.
