It's a pity, though, isn't it?
They broke away from The Firm (I'm making no judgement on the fairness of this - families can be very difficult, let alone when they're so much more than just relatives), but instead of moving on and carving out new spaces for themselves, they seem almost to be entrenching themselves as just 'the ones who left'. I mean, surely they have more to offer than this? Surely, they aren't just the breakaways? But I don't think we've seen a lot of growth and healing from them to suggest otherwise.
We wouldn't be having this conversation if they'd gone to the USA and had managed to keep relations cordial, if distant, and Harry had gone into whatever sort of job posh ex-army blokes usually manage to find and she had gone back to acting, and they'd called themselves the Mountbatten-Windsors and just got on with life.
It's like they're stagnating in this self-imposed black sheep role. I think it's a real shame. They could be happier and freer and, at the moment, they're choosing not to be. 🤷🏻♀️
