They are an indication though of public opinion.
I've seen a lot of comments online by US friends and people I follow (H&M and Netflix are very much aiming this at a US audience) along the lines of "haven't you already told your story? I thought you didnt want press intrusion?".
The View TV show did a short piece yesterday and all but 1 of the hosts made similar comments.
People will be mainly tuning in to get Royal gossip - let's face it, they want to hear who said what about Archie. If they do reveal all early on what's left to retain interest? If they keep being all coy and just vaguely allude to things they way they did on Oprah - again, what's left to sustain interest over 6 episodes?
6 episodes is surprising. No one is really that interesting. They were in the RF for 2 years. To puff this out there must be a sh*t ton of filler, and that doesn't exactly bring in the viewers. It very much risks quickly tipping over into navel gazing, self gratification which isn't greatly appealing to people in a cost of living crisis. Too much "poor us" gets grating, especially coming from millionaires living in mansions with Hermes scarves.
