Mike Tindall - I'm a Celebrity

Rumours circulating that he's signed up for the next series of I'm a Celebrity.
I know he and Zara have to make their own money but I find this tasteless and tacky.
Puts me in mind of the Royal It's a Knockout.
Surely they can't be that desperate for cash?

I thought he came over well yesterday.

Do you think it’s ok for rich celebrities to indecently assault staff?

No. I haven't seen that.

I saw the show and thought he came over well.

CathyorClaire · 07/11/2022 09:41

I thought he came over well yesterday

He made some snippy comment about being bossed about by a twenty four year old (guy in the black and white shirt - haven't got all their names yet) which had obviously irked him. He seems to be trying to repress his alpha-ness with the rest of them but I can't see that lasting if he can't even rein it in on the first task.

Apart from that and in view of the rather telling 'joky' groping he appears to be a leching pest.

CathyorClaire · 07/11/2022 09:42

No. I haven't seen that

It's in the link posted above.

Croque · 07/11/2022 09:45

Why automatically assume that they are still properly together? Isn't reality TV a typical place to go to boost your bank balance before/just after a split?

antelopevalley · 07/11/2022 09:47

CathyorClaire · 06/11/2022 21:24

Aaaand Tindall pictured with his hand on an ITV crew member's boob as he 'playfully' pretended to push her into the water.

I'm predicting a(nother) royal car crash...

That is awful!!
You would think he could behave himself for a few weeks when he knows he is being filmed.

CathyorClaire · 07/11/2022 09:49

You would think he could behave himself for a few weeks when he knows he is being filmed.

Absolutely.

The participants tend to forget the cameras a few days in but he can't even manage a few hours.

ancientgran · 07/11/2022 10:06

Dustyblue · 07/11/2022 07:50

Ok just looked again and I did get it wrong!

It's his hand. Yuk.

I think you were right, he is grabbing her hand isn't he?

Croque · 07/11/2022 10:12

He does nothing for the reputation of rugby players. Why do it at all?

antelopevalley · 07/11/2022 10:17

Where can you see video of him doing this?

amyneedssleep · 07/11/2022 10:18

WahineToa · 07/11/2022 07:58

And is it blowing up in the news or social media? No it isn’t. The daily fail headline alone, if it was Harry or Meghan it would be a huge deal within an hour. This guy is a revolting creep and has a criminal conviction, over and over again he’s a pig and a loser, and…. nothing. Just jokey headlines, nothing to see here. He’s disgusting.

It's honestly so depressing. These pictures are massively triggering (and I don't mean that in a 'snowflake' way, I mean that in the sense that so many women have been manhandled like this and know exactly how humilating it feels to just have to laugh it off because we're not supposed to cause a scene.) She's wearing a mask ffs, to protect 'the talent', and he's treating her like a toy to fling around.

Like you say, if it was Harry or Meghan treating a crew member like this it would make every celebrity-focused media outlet by the morning.

MidnightConstellation · 07/11/2022 10:20

I thought he came across really well last night.. until I saw those photos. Yet another entitled wanker who thinks women are playthings.

WahineToa · 07/11/2022 10:22

He does it in full view of others because he knows he can get away with it. If he behaves like that in public…

MidnightConstellation · 07/11/2022 10:23

It reminds me of a photo of Charles and Diana where they are sitting fnext to each other but he’s groping her breasts ‘for a laugh’.
Even though they were married it made me 🤮

MissMarpleRocks · 07/11/2022 10:23

It’s horrible isn’t it??

WahineToa · 07/11/2022 10:23

He does nothing for the reputation of rugby players.

I mean, there’s so many disgusting ones, especially NZ players. Everyone looks the other way.

Oh god, I don't remember that! How disgusting.

Agreed. He is a member of the Royal Family so protected. The fact the papers are not even covering this says it all.

StartupRepair · 07/11/2022 10:37

I don't imagine Zara would be a pushover around such awful public behaviour.

amyneedssleep · 07/11/2022 10:40

It's so depressing. Even if that crew member complains, there's no way that ITV will be willing to lose one of their biggest signings this early on. She'll no doubt be placated and moved somewhere else and he'll never have to face any consequences as the royals will ensure it's kept to a minimum in the tabloid press.

I really feel sick the more I think about it. Literally nothing has changed for rich, powerful men. They're still free to do whatever the hell they want.

WahineToa · 07/11/2022 10:48

Yes absolutely. Mike Tindall, Prince Andrew, All blacks Shannon Frizell & Sevu Reece….

Nothing will change unless we switch off. Don’t watch. Don’t listen. Don’t buy the merch. Just don’t support them in any way. As much as I want to see Matt Hancock cry having to eat kangaroo penis, I wouldn’t be tuning in to support any of this crap. Didn’t watch the all blacks in the weekend either… as a die hard rugby fan that’s harsh but… gotta put my money where my mouth is.

antelopevalley · 07/11/2022 10:52

What we can do is talk about it. Post on social media, make it trend on twitter, yell our friends.

MidnightConstellation · 07/11/2022 10:52

It’s the Prince Philip model isn’t it? Not that he’d be so stupid as to be photographed groping a young woman like that.

antelopevalley · 07/11/2022 10:53

And it is why men got away with it in the past. People keep saying it was different in the eighties etc. It really was not. It was the same. The media would not publish about rich powerful men doing awful things. THe difference is the internet was in its infancy. Now we can talk about this outside our immediate circle.

MidnightConstellation · 07/11/2022 10:54

antelopevalley · 07/11/2022 10:31

Oh god, I don't remember that! How disgusting.

Yes I hadn’t seen it before either. It was in a montage of photos which aren’t often publicised.

derxa · 07/11/2022 10:54

What are you talking about? It's in the Daily Mail and all over Twitter.
