Mike Tindall - I'm a Celebrity

Rumours circulating that he's signed up for the next series of I'm a Celebrity.
I know he and Zara have to make their own money but I find this tasteless and tacky.
Puts me in mind of the Royal It's a Knockout.
Surely they can't be that desperate for cash?

And knowing his past you still think there's a kindness to him?

If he'd imprisoned a woman after she rejected his sexual advances and viciously attacked her with a metal chain before she was able to escape run into the street in her underwear to get help - and leaving her so traumatised that she had to have counselling for many years would you still say 'ahh, but there's a kindness about him'?

Yes.

The politician guy will not last a week. He'll be nominated for everything.

Except they're saying he's exempt from any water trials on medical reasons (trench foot from doing Celebrity SAS apparently), so he'll get an easy ride. I reckon it was part of his negotiations. He's looking for a redemption story but unsurprisingly (it seems to me!) he's not willing to fully put in the graft.

I can't stand the man & shame on ITV for putting him in. I was so looking forward to the series as I love Chris Moyles & wanted to see MT, BG & CW as well as thinking Olivia will be good telly. Now I'm so annoyed he's there making more money!

whats the betting there won't be any water trials....

milti · 03/11/2022 18:16

If he’s been in celebrity sas (and did well) he won’t be troubled by I’m a celeb - cannot stand the man btw

I really hope not.

@milti no idea how well he did in it as it's not been aired yet. Just heard that those producers are annoyed as he's now doing IACGMOOH before their show goes out!

milti · 03/11/2022 18:42

I hope his trench foot doesn’t trouble him too much - that would be a dreadful shame for such a lovely man

JustLyra · 03/11/2022 19:44

If he’s already done Celebrity SAS and now doing I’m a celeb then how much politician-ing has Hancock actually been doing on behalf of his constituents recently?

SirChenjins · 03/11/2022 20:20

TheNosehasit · 03/11/2022 17:55

Yes.

You have a twisted definition of kind, to say the least.

XanaduKira · 03/11/2022 20:22

I imagine sweet FA @JustLyra - it's unbelievable that politicians don't have employment contracts that forbids them to have a '2nd job' (as per normal contracts that require managers approval if you want to take on another job and this is generally refused if it will have a detrimental impact on your actual job!). I can't believe this is allowed for a sitting MP.

No doubt they all do it, which is why it's allowed, it's just usually not so high profile so they get away with it on the quiet.

The jumping over fences thing that Zara did is tame compared to the hunt. That is dangerous.

Yes, and even more dangerous when the women had to ride to hounds sidesaddle. Or is that only in the movies. I can’t imagine riding over rough terrain fast side saddle could be safe in any way.

Imagine a woman’s virtue being considered more important than her life?

I think sidesaddle is safer. Its next to impossible to fall off, so it's only if girth snaps or if the horse falls that you're in trouble.

I would say Tindall will lead and the politician dude will be nominated for every trial.

😂 If they had one of the Australian politicians just thrown out of govt a few months ago , Australians would pay big money to see them ‘challenged.’

asblindasabat · 03/11/2022 15:10

I don’t agree with any member of the Royal Family or any politician going on I’m a Celeb… it just feels wrong.

imagine if King Charles signed up!!

The whole world would watch Charles. It would be an event. There’s be huge tvs in pubs etc.

I do remember Andrew, and Edward? and Sarah Ferguson on it’s a knockout and remember being astonished that they went on it - that anyone thought it would be a good idea?

Morestrangethings · 03/11/2022 21:05

TheNosehasit · 03/11/2022 15:11

It should be obligatory training

🤣🤣🤣

He’s still in government? Let me guess - he’s a conservative?

i thought it would have been more dangerous - shows what I know about actual riding - very little.

CathyorClaire · 03/11/2022 21:19

that anyone thought it would be a good idea?

Only desperate Edward flogging his dead horse TV company.

He went on to throw a hilariously flouncy strop when he asked a selection of stony faced journos what they thought and they failed to tug their forelocks and murmur approvingly 😂

Absolutely fumming that 'Don't Kill Granny' (and ocean-going arse) Hancock has any kind of exemption for any trials 👹

Roussette · 03/11/2022 21:31

Agreed. There should be no ring of steel round him, he needs to strain every sinew' to breaking point

LaMarschallin · 04/11/2022 08:47

Roussette

Nice Smile

LaMarschallin · 04/11/2022 09:02

Actually, probably should have made it clear it was Roussette's remarks about Matt Hancock that made me smile.

I've an awful feeling that he's been spending time building up his body pre IAC but to no avail because he'll still have that face stuck on top of it.

wordler · 04/11/2022 13:32

I like that everyone from all sides of the royals/republicans/love-hate Meghan and Kate divide has found common ground over Matt Hancock!

We can use it like a timeout device - any time it gets too heated in the royal threads someone just yells HANCOCK! and it's a sign to calm down and bitch about something we can all agree on.

SirChenjins · 04/11/2022 13:48

If I was in charge I would make one of the challenges to be locked in a room for 24 hours with no PPE and no immunity to face a new fatal disease that was piped in through the vents. Then I’d sit back and watch the terror on Hancock’s face as he was voted to enter the room.

😂😂😂 that’s hilarious, I love it. We could just have fun devising the worst non-water-related trials for the slimy useless….. so and so

An excellent suggestion. Who knew that this H, of all people, could be so useful 😀?
