Mike Tindall - I'm a Celebrity

Rumours circulating that he's signed up for the next series of I'm a Celebrity.
I know he and Zara have to make their own money but I find this tasteless and tacky.
Puts me in mind of the Royal It's a Knockout.
Surely they can't be that desperate for cash?

I did! Not in the UK though. 3 of my best friends rode and one neighbour. One did the hunt. The other 2 just had a horse that they rode daily. Only one of the 3 would have been 'landed gentry' as we call them.

It's an expensive hobby. More expensive even if you keep your own.

It is traditionally associated with money in Ireland but particular to certain parts of Ireland.
I wanted a horse all my life. Would my Daddy buy one? Would he fuck! Lol.
I've rarely ridden horses but apparently I have a 'good seat' or something (it was the one who rode the hunt). It means you sit up straight or something. The fastest I got to was a canter 😂. I was full sure that I was galloping at full speed because that's what it felt like!

Anything horse related is definitely for the well off. Absolutely. The people with land around us have 5 horses in there they don’t even ride! Young too. So I get to hang out over the fence for free! But certainly I can’t afford to ride!

It's one of those sports which will make you connections in high society. The Hunt Ball for example. The races. Ladies day at the races - my neighbour usually gets placed in the Best Dressed Lady for e.g. (admittedly she is beautiful). It's for the well-hooved lol.
Come to think of it, an awful lot of my acquaintances were into horses in some way. One is a blacksmith (he shoes horses) and married into a family associated with horses.

I did ask my dd whether she wanted to go to lessons but she gave an emphatic "No" aged 6 for some reason (known only to herself). It was something like £20 a lesson. She had similarly emphatic responses to the suggestion of ballet and Karate (only the boys did karate and the teacher was too strict at ballet apparently). She did hip-hop classes so while waiting for that class, she would observe the end of the ballet classes.

If I was a dwarf I would not choose to engage in being thrown. Some do - that’s their choice. They are fully competent adults - I don’t like to see them being infantilised.

I'm pretty sure that a lot of people are exploited with so-called free will.

Funnily enough, the girl who I was friends with who rode the hunt (it's pretty wild - hounds and riders on horses chasing foxes - brutal really) but you've to jump through wild terrain at high speed in unknown terrain really. She was possibly one of the better riders but because she didn't have money behind her and wasn't in the 'right' circles, even she wouldn't go the Hunt Ball because she didn't feel pretty enough or rich enough.

It's elitist in Ireland.
Ireland produces some excellent jockeys though.

The jumping over fences thing that Zara did is tame compared to the hunt. That is dangerous.

Boy George!

Boy George is going to be brilliant because I sense a kindness in him. He will be a fucking disaster though with the challenges (I think). It would be like putting me in. I'd scream at the first spider lol.

That said, he's Irish, so possibly has a fortitude he hasn't yet tapped into!

I rarely watch this because I vomit when they vomit and the challenges and stuff freak me the hell out. I will be watching this year though!

He was a world class rugby player in his own right! He's not cashing in on his royal status. If he had never married Zara he probably would have done the show anyway

I would say Tindall will come out as a strong leader. I know nothing about him, but given his ex-rugby playing status, he will be a leader I think.

That politician dude, won't last too long. He'll last a little while being diplomatic but I can't see him enduring much.

Boy George I can see being a leader too. In his time, he was one of the first openly 'gay' men in the 80's. Radical. I think he's a leader too.

What women are going in?

I saw an interview on LBC with someone who had been in the jungle previously and he said that you'd stripped bare in there, so whoever you really are will be exposed very quickly.

I would say Tindall will lead and the politician dude will be nominated for every trial.

If politician dude has no phobias he'll become a hero, but I think a lot of the British public will vote for him to do every single heinous trial.

Tindall is very much an Alpha Male.
