Most ridiculous Royal Family theory?

Most things about the Royal Family are just about what they are wearing or their latest engagement. But occasionally you come across batshit theories such as that they are really lizards.
What is the most batshit theory you have come across?

I don’t think it’s far out to suggest that they RF had a hand in Diana’s death.

The newest theory is that the Queen was never in the coffin when it was paraded around. Not too wild I suppose.

The Queen is now enjoying a well deserved retirement , riding her pony, Emma and with her Corgis at her side.

If only that were true.

The silly “ Moonbump” stuff with Meghan was very bizarre as was the rent a kid allegations.

The Hewitt saga was nonsense- but a simple DNA test would put that to bed.

lannistunut · 06/10/2022 19:29

I think the weirdest RF story I ever read is that they are special and deserve to live in palaces paid for by all the other people in their country, even though they are just ordinary people.

Diana was pregnant by Dodi when she died.

Oh yes- This one.
This was supposedly why Diana was murdered.
Personally, I don’t think Diana was murdered, she wasn’t wearing her seatbelt.
So wish Diana had lived.
Had she done so, Harry wouldn’t be the loose cannon he is today.

During the funeral we had a good discussion about this and decided she probably wasn’t in there. It would be much easier without the body and the event was primarily ceremonial. The actual interment was separate and private.

Google Charles and Peter Ball.. van der Post. Mountbatten

Quite.

We also have the late lamented queen having her portrait painted by Rolf Harris.

To be fair she had the portrait returned to him when he was convicted.

I had no idea about Rolf Harris and had two of his paintings, at one point they were worth several thousand. Actually I owned the whole paedo collection - a pair of Gary Glitter's boots, a Jim'll Fix it Badge and two Rolf paintings. One minute I'm sitting on a nice little goldmine and the next minute I'm selling at rock bottom prices on Loot to a man called Mick who asked me if I had a bin bag to disguise them on the journey home.

She should have sent it back long before... it's a real horror show.

the only reason people are shocked about famous people is because they are famous but they are people and can be taken in like anyone else

Jimmy Savile's predilections were an open secret. It's very hard to believe that Charles' army of whisperers were both unaware of the rumours and didn't bring them to his attention.

The Hewitt saga was nonsense- but a simple DNA test would put that to bed.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't a long gone done deal on the sly but do you really think the notoriously secretive royals would apprise us peasants of the result whatever it was?

Never complain, never explain...

vera99 · 07/10/2022 21:10

The Hewitt timelines don't add up or I had thought so until I found this completely unsubstantiated no name website

radaronline.com/p/is-james-hewitt-prince-harrys-real-father-paternity-rumors/.

Coucous · 07/10/2022 21:19

There are working members of the royal family

Unicorn2022 · 07/10/2022 21:19

@vera99 OMG the Rolf Harris portrait of the Queen looks more like Rolf Harris himself. I had no idea it was that bad!

Coucous · 07/10/2022 21:19

@vera99 I've developed a headache from laughing - why have you shared that?

BiscuitLover3678 · 07/10/2022 21:22

That painting is going to give me nightmares.

Obviously the lizard stuff is a bit weird.

Unicorn2022 · 07/10/2022 21:23

There were also rumours that Mark Dyer was Harry's dad rather than James Hewitt or Charles

vera99 · 07/10/2022 21:36

Paddington was a much better pairing - she must have been horrified when she saw the final thing.

RJnomore1 · 08/10/2022 11:39

I really don’t think anything to do with parentage:dna etc should have to be public for our delectation regardless of who is involved.

KillingMeDeftly · 08/10/2022 11:53

Unicorn2022 · 07/10/2022 21:23

It seems any red-headed man with whom Diana came into contact is touted as Harry's "real dad"! But he looks more like Charles as he gets older and is the image of a bearded Prince Philip.

Among the most batshit theory is the royal family's own notion that the monarch is ordained to their role by god. Freaky.

I don't think they really believe that now, do they? It would be surprising
Isn't it just a hangover from the Middle Ages?

Isaidnoalready · 11/10/2022 19:53

Honestly if they had epstien murdered why didn't the others have accidents too?

KillingMeDeftly · 11/10/2022 19:56

If anyone murdered Epstein it wasn't the royals. I think he had far more powerful mates than them.

CathyorClaire · 11/10/2022 21:05

Agreed.

Interestingly Maxwell has until June 2023 to name names and strike a deal.

UInless she too meets with a sticky end...

HeddaGarbeld · 05/10/2022 22:53

What on earth are you reading to come across the theory that they’re lizards? Hmm

I’ve read about qanon / it’s one of their crazy beliefs:

2022Ilovealiein · 04/11/2022 06:02

@heartbroken22 Totally agree that James Hewitt is not Harry's dad, the bit
about King Charles really made me laugh 😂😂😂

red4321 · 04/11/2022 06:12

The silly “ Moonbump” stuff with Meghan was very bizarre as was the rent a kid allegations.

Hands up, I thought the moonbump stuff was possible given her age and some inconsistencies around the birth. I draw the line at the lizards though...

I also think that a lot is covered up by the media and various injunctions. I wouldn't be surprised if this is also true for the RF.

Ihateboris · 04/11/2022 06:22

The most batshit story I've heard is that the Royal Family generate more income than they cost the UK. Bloody bonkers!!

BeckyWithTheAverageHair · 04/11/2022 07:38

Hands up, I thought the moonbump stuff was possible given her age and some inconsistencies around the birth.

Her age? She was 37 when Archie was born, not 57! Unless you live somewhere where teenage pregnancy is the norm that's hardly elderly. Half of Mumsnet will have had a baby around that age or later.
