Interesting that so many world leaders are happy to as they understand the logistics and practicalities of everyone coming in their own cars but not the US? Does he get that this isn't about him? He's a guest like everyone else, not the star attraction.

@CrystalCoco They aren't getting on a commuter bus with the hoi polli! Foreign dignitaries were asked to travel to London on commercial flights instead of private Aircraft and to travel together on a bus (which I'm sure has been cleaned and sanitizer to within an inch of its life) to the funeral. Probably one of those old route masters. It's better for the Environment and easier for everyone to travel together.

There is enough going on without risking a massive security breach with the president. He needs his own car.

Biden has to go everywhere in his big giant car, which is flown over on a private jet, as part of his own presidential motorcade of cars, which is also flown over. There were about 20+ of them for COP26 to talk about climate change.

I think President Biden would love being on a bus. He's a very affable fellow, known for commuting by train when he was a Senator. But it's too risky.

Because someone might assassinate him and the implications of that would be not only devastating for his family but the world.

I think the bus is insulting and a huge security risk. Let’s put all the world leaders and dignitaries on a bus like school children. Insulting! Would we let Charles III and Liz Truss on a coach to go see the Giant Pandas like a couple of tourists? No!

It’s crazy from a security standpoint. You never put all your high value targets in one vehicle like that. One RPG, or IED, or sucker bomb or explosive sniper bullet to the petrol tank could kill all of them at once in one nice little fireball with very little collateral damage. Too imagine if anything happened, it would be our fault because having this VIP bus means these world leaders can’t make their own security and protection arrangements and they won’t have the bodyguards they know and trust with them on the bus.
