The royal family

What now for M&H

I find the whole family and royal family (The Firm) aspect of Megxit very interesting.

Just wondering what now for M&H? Will they continue on with the strategy of talking and writing about the royal family or will things now change? I think the half in half out strategy on their terms would have worked for M&H but I think the RF were right to knock it on the head, it would never have worked for the RF, Harry was ready to go and Meghan was never going to just slot in with the system.

Just looking at Harry, I think the guy really needs the whole circus of fighting with the RF in public to stop, for his own mental health. He obviously has issues that he needs to come to terms with, he really needs to do this in private but this is at odds with how they need to make money now. I really fear for him the person.

If they keep going with the fighting then I think that's it for them and the RF. If they are to reconcile with the RF, how then do they make a living? I would imagine QE has left quite a provision for Harry in her will so perhaps the money making aspect will be less of a priority. I could see Charles being more open to a reconciliation but not sure about William.

Not trying to start a thread to bash anyone, just interested in other opinions.

Some of these posts are so ridiculous.
I’ve just told my mum about the nursery one.
She is laughing her head off

Meanderings · 14/09/2022 15:36

This is why Meghan needs top notch security. Deranged people are dangerous.

Meanderings, it is possible to disagree and have an animated online conversation without making really distasteful and ugly remarks like 'sick in the head'. Take some of the heat out of the conversation and don't retort to abusive attacks.

wellhelloitsme · 14/09/2022 15:36

@bloodyplanes

This is exactly what I thought when i saw it, absolutely no decorum. Everyone else can manage to behave in the proper way but those two as per usual!

Do you not objectively think that it's incredibly archaic and tbh strange to see holding hands with the person you're married to or comforting them with a hand on their back as showing 'absolutely no decorum' or being improper?

They were hardly dry humping were they for goodness sake.

bloodyplanes · 14/09/2022 15:37

@Lampzade i also read the story about the nursery, so its not something the poster has made up. Obviously i have no idea if there is any truth to it!

Absolutely

Roussette · 14/09/2022 15:38

Phew! So relieved there's something to criticise her about today! They held hands!
Wouldn't it be awful if people couldn't find anything!

I am still laughing at the 'comedy size mic'

I have transported myself back to a 1970s Bond film with Blofeld and a big grey box with a red flashing light on top

I think words like that are necessary, jolt these people back into reality.

bloodyplanes · 14/09/2022 15:39

@wellhelloitsme seriously? Its a state occasion not a family day out! Surely if everyone else can manage to act properly for a couple of hours then those two can as well?

Readinginthesun · 14/09/2022 15:29

Others will disagree but I don’t think it was appropriate for M and H to hold hands leaving such a solemn occasion.

That was a little bit of an ‘unusual’ thing to do I must say. It’s not something I would have done if I was unsure of protocol and no one else in front of me was doing it - I’d play safe and follow their lead.

I laugh until I realize these people are serious then it gets lowkey scary 🙃

Snog · 14/09/2022 15:39

Meanderings it is your own behaviour that repeatedly sees mumsnet HQ deleting your abusive comments to other posters

bloodyplanes · 14/09/2022 15:40

@Meanderings but you don't jolt anyone back to reality, you just make yourself sound spiteful and unhinged.

What on EARTH were they doing apart from holding hands?
I haven't watched the footage and the mind is boggled!

Who are ''these people''? People who disagree with you? Everyone on this thread, myself and yourself included, comes across as incredibly nuts, yes, join the club, but you're doing yourself no favours making really puerile remarks. No one is ''jolted'' by it and the really ugly rhetoric just drags the whole dialogue down into the depths.

Meanderings · 14/09/2022 15:41

On a nicer note, Meghan's curtsy was ELITE

DH and I work in the same place, as do many, if we were holding hands whilst working, our boss would tell us to pack it in! It's not appropriate when they are performing duties. K&W, nor E&S, C&C or A&T don't do it.

I didn’t say that the poster was making it up.

Exactly. It’s WORK

Roussette · 14/09/2022 15:43

Today is "hand holding" criticism

I wonder what tomorrow's will be?
Maybe "she smiled funny" when shaking hands

completely inappropriate. Whether she ( and others) think that RF protocol is archaic and stuffy , it should be adhered to .
All the other couples managed to walk out all by themselves .
Could they not have waited until they were in the car before grabbing each other ?

EdieLedwell · 14/09/2022 15:43

Maybe that's why none of Charles pens work? H&M have turned them all into cameras.

Tierne · 14/09/2022 15:43

Holding hands at such a solemn event is unusual, yes. I think that's why K & W made a point of widening the space between them
