The judge won't dismiss the case.

The BBC has just said that he has three choices:

  • settle out of court
  • defer, which means the ruling will automatically go against him
  • go to trial.

I can't see that any of those options will be attractive to him and he will have to finally face the consequences of his behaviour.

I cannot help but think that behind closed doors PA has now chosen to admit to either all or part of his involvement and Her Majesty has acted accordingly.

It speaks volumes.

Or he's been caught in a lie or refused to answer and she's seen her own arse.

WinnieTheW0rm · 13/01/2022 18:25

@Aderyn21

Call me cynical but I think the RF are making a big deal of Andrew being responsible for his own costs, both for to curtail damage done to the reputation of the Queen but also to limit the settlement - if it was believed that the Queen was bankrolling the settlement, that would drive the price right up! I think that whatever this costs him, the Queen will find a way to get money back to him in the future. If I was Andrew I'd be shitting myself that the Queen might die before that happens, because I doubt that Charles is going to help him out!
It means he's been sacked, and all decisions are now his.
Aderyn21 · 13/01/2022 18:27

Nothing comes before the good of the firm!

The Queen has some culpability here imo - she's showered him with titles (what for? What has he done that's especially deserving of these?) and allowed him too much freedom to associate with some very dodgy people for a long time. He should have been reeled back in years ago!

MayThePawsBeWithYou · 13/01/2022 18:27

I hope it goes to trial.

MrsTerryP

Or he's been caught in a lie or refused to answer and she's seen her own arse.

That sounds more likely…

AllThePogs · 13/01/2022 18:48

No they are just better at reading the public mood than some. It is like the photo of the Queen sitting alone at her husbands funeral. They know how to read the public mood most of the time.
They knew they had to strip his titles.

ParkheadParadise · 13/01/2022 18:53

He will probably be out riding with his auld mother tomorrow.
I would imagine it was done to look as if they were doing something.
The Dirty Bastard should be locked up with his friend.

Mrsjayy · 13/01/2022 19:21

Imagine being 94 and have your son an absolute sleaze ! I feel sorry for her having that to deal with.

Lougle · 13/01/2022 21:01

I feel sorry for the Queen. It must be hard to face the reality of her son's behaviour and so publicly.

AllThePogs · 13/01/2022 21:06

I do not feel sorry for the Queen. I don't believe she has never heard from the security services concerns about Andrews behaviour. She may not have believed them, but this wont be new to her.

I agree she has been enabling his behaviour since he was a young man, there is no way she wouldn't have known. I wonder how much longer Sarah Ferguson will stand by him. The only people in the RF I feel sorry for over this are Beatrice and Eugenie. Both of them having just become new mothers and should be heading into some of the happiest times of their lives but now they will be known as the daughters of a sexual predator. So sad for them.
ParkheadParadise · 13/01/2022 21:39

I don't feel sorry for auld Lizzie.
She's enabled him for years.
Fergie will stand by him.
The whole bloody family are fucked up.
Imagine getting involved with ANY of them 🤮🤮

AllThePogs · 13/01/2022 22:16

Yes, agree I wouldn't want to have a father who is a rapist and be exposed on the world stage.

Mrsjayy · 13/01/2022 22:21

Jeffrey Epstein paid off Sarah Fergusons debts she is nt going to abandon him.

Jingers5 · 13/01/2022 22:25

Them royals all piss in the same pot if you ask me. The tax payer will fund his costs. I hope he walks the line, the dirty old dog.

MayThePawsBeWithYou · 15/01/2022 11:36

There are calls for him to be stripped of his Duke of York title too, they dont want him representing them, Fergie should lose her title too if he does.
