You make the queen sound like a pedigree dog at crufts! Grin

i am sure this Andrew business must have affected her health Sad

The Express is running an article saying the Queen can’t ride horses for the moment. It points more to a hip operation. Good for her.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 31/10/2021 10:21

how many 95 year olds ride horses fgs

She was riding at 94. If you have a mounting block, a docile old plodder and a very experienced horsewoman, why not?

BoJoSecretGF · 31/10/2021 13:18

All you need to do is to be able to swing your leg round at a 90 degree angle.

smilesy · 31/10/2021 13:35

Well she herself has said you are only as old as you feel. She rejected that oldie award because she didn’t feel like an oldie. Just because someone is old, doesn’t mean they can’t be active. Again, think of Sir David who is only a couple of weeks different in age 🕺

julieca · 31/10/2021 13:53

Being old isnt about being active or not being active. Its simply about the number of years you have been alive.
A severely disabled teenager who cant walk, is still a teenager.

smilesy · 31/10/2021 14:46

@julieca. That was my point. I suppose what she was reacting to in refusing the award was the stereotype of an old person.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 01/11/2021 18:19

she has been spotted driving herself somewhere. so that is excellent

Yes she was driving in Windsor Great Park. And she has delivered her video message to Cop26

A Dr on twitter (anaesthetist) commented on possible painful nature of her hands in this photo

In the speech for the COP. I noticed HMQ has got a chipped tooth. Might be anything, but I wonder if she’s taken a tumble. If her hip is in pain it’s likely.

Before DF had his hip replacement he was always toppling over and causing harm to himself.

Oh no! The Queen is now going to miss the Remembrance Service at the Cenotaph. She has “sprained her back”. It does sound like she is having problems with her mobility.

I just saw that on the news too.

I do wonder if she'll retire. Missing Remembrance Sunday at the Cenotaph will be hugely upsetting for her, I would think.

SnottyLottie · 21/11/2021 20:15

The Queen attended the double christening of her great grandsons August Brooksbank and Lucas Tindall today. Hopefully that means she’s on the mend!

She has recently taken up kick boxing. Which explains the chipped tooth and sprained back
Maireas · 26/11/2021 14:43

@HalfCakeHalfBiscuit - it could be that she's taken up kickboxing. I thought maybe she'd got into a row with Princess Alexandra about tiaras and it'd all got a bit rough. Wouldn't be the first time.
