Nice for the family to have some good news for a change!

Shouldbedoing · 19/05/2021 11:42

Tends to happen after a royal wedding.

ChicChaos · 19/05/2021 11:54

That is nice news, congratulations to them!

SnottyLottie · 19/05/2021 12:00

She did very well coping at Prince Philip’s funeral with first trimester hormones, fatigue and sickness.

And if Charles knew she was pregnant and made her walk back to the castle in those heels he’s a dick 😂🤣

So?

Viviennemary · 19/05/2021 12:19

Lovely news for the royals to take their mind off all the other negative stuff..

ballsdeep · 19/05/2021 12:20

So?
So.... why comment on this thread if you’re not interested?!

Congrats to them, lovely ness

QuestionableMouse · 19/05/2021 12:21

It's always nice to welcome a new baby to the family, no matter how grand the family is 😁🤣

notalwaysalondoner · 19/05/2021 12:42

Not all pregnant women have fatigue and sickness, I felt great through my first trimester and was doing 15km trail runs, so don’t assume walking to a castle in heels or attending a funeral was physically difficult for her…

OverByYer · 19/05/2021 12:44

Nice to have some good news and those who aren’t interested why bother coming on to comment? Hmm

MeanMrMustardSeed · 19/05/2021 12:48

Congratulations to them both - exciting time for any couple!

@Meirou90 did the feel that the thread title was misleading?

SirSamuelVimes · 19/05/2021 12:52

Oh good news, hurrah! I love a baby.

God knows the royals need some positive column inches right now. Hopefully it will be cheering to the queen too.

Topseyt · 19/05/2021 12:57

Congratulations to her. Nice to have some positive news for a change.

Not everyone feels dreadful in early pregnancy. I didn't with any of my three and could easily have walked that distance from the Chapel to Windsor Castle. I'd even have enjoyed it, though would probably have preferred not to have been in stiletto heels.

I don't think that makes anyone a dick. For all we know Charles might have quietly asked her her preference and she may have chosen to walk. Gentle exercise is recommended in pregnancy if possible.

Maggiesfarm · 19/05/2021 13:00

Lovely news for them, their parents, their grandmother and all their loved ones. It's so nice that the two girls are very close as will be the two cousins.

SirSamuelVimes · 19/05/2021 13:11

Oh god yes, my first pregnancy I was bounding about like anything, in heels all the way. Second pregnancy I was laying on the floor waiting for the world to stop spinning! I'm sure Beatrice was asked and was happy to walk.

SnottyLottie · 19/05/2021 13:11

I’m all for encouraging gentle walking during pregnancy but not in sky scraper heels! Calling him a dick was meant to be tongue-in-cheek tbh, I’m sure he didn’t know and it would have been equally difficult for all the girls to walk back in their heels on cobblestone.

I feel like it’s something that would happen to me. Wear really high heels, look lovely and elegant, don’t need to worry because a car will drop me off and pick me up again so all I have to manage is getting in and out of the church (tricky enough in some of the older churches about). Then Uncle Charles says it’s a lovely day, let’s walk back to the castle ...😫

Literally in the thread title what the thread was about. Ffs scroll past

How lovely

Ridiculous blaming Charles. Also not all pregnant women suffer. I felt fantastic.
SnottyLottie · 19/05/2021 13:18

@Housewife2010 did the part with the emojis not convey the joking tone of my post properly?

Ditto. I've got twins. Fine until twelve weeks and then felt like I'd been run over by a truck. It's nit one size fits all!
Sylvan92 · 19/05/2021 13:26

Great news. I don’t like her parents but they’ve managed to bring up two apparently lovely young women. They were both two of the nicest brides I’ve seen.

IWantAllTheDogsInTheWorld · 19/05/2021 13:33

I love a Royal baby now I'm past making my own. Maybe Beatrice will be joining Mumsnet if she hasn't done already?

SnottyLottie · 19/05/2021 13:39

All you ladies who felt physically fine during first term pregnancy, did that extend to mentally feeling fine too? Everything set me off crying from about 8 weeks onwards. I was an emotional mess crying at dumb adverts and snapping at DH for eating too loudly. I personally wouldn’t have coped with a grandparent dying.

Interesting discussion!
