I am not sure Meghan would agree. Besties with Oprah and the Clooneys because it suits and looks good near the altar (the latter they hadn't even met properly before being invited to the wedding) but not with Piers - of all those only Oprah is left, let's see how long she lasts attached to this pair!

The book is just another tool to stay top of minds of us, the people. I have read many children's books, and the pages I have seen, don't look like a book FOR children. The real audience are the parents. Seriously they think they can take the world over by just throwing enough PR and money at it (and if it is money from Daddy, all the better). May work in the US but they are dead on the water before they even start on this side of the pond.

People like Piers are paid by the press to promote a certain angle/ storyline that the media want to run with.

@Coronateachingagain I’m a TA and have read a lot of books to and with children over the years. I agree this is not a book that would interest young children. It’s absolutely for adults. It may be a nice Father’s Day present. It’s going to be released just before Father’s Day which I suspect is deliberate.

Piers is not being paid by anyone. That is the point. That is why Megs knows he is particularly dangerous. He just does what he thinks, independently of whether it is good or bad, he will not think much of a letter from the actress' American lawyers. He is a guy that is difficult to manipulate. He will call on whatever and whoever he pleases. As much as I don't agree with a lot of what he says, I respect him for that.

Back in 1998, Piers (in his then-role as editor of the Daily Mirror) sanctioned the theft of James Hewitt's bank statements in an attempt to find details about his affair with Diana. The Daily Mirror literally printed James's bank account number in full, then Piers wrote an autobiography where he shared an anecdote of bumping into James into a pub and taunting him by saying "I've seen your bank statements."

well just to be clear by "all those people" (and forget if I was too casual) I meant the Clooneys (who did not the couple actually before the wedding) AND Piers, of course. As much as I don't like Piers fully I love it that he does not feel constrained by the desire to please or by a legal letter.

He will not let go. Good for him, someone needs to remind this pair there is a limit to everything. So many people are going through the same or much worse. I don’t like PM and I don’t like M&H (now - I used to). It takes one to know one and I guess PM can spot a hustler.

MM was obviously advised to drop PM like a hot brick when her relationship with Harry took off. Prior to that I guess he could have been useful.
