Has anyone else seen this on Instagram? It's so lovely and natural. Their PR camp are hitting the right buttons! The Oprah interview now just seems so trashy in comparison!

I can't believe I've just googled a video of Kate shrugging William's hand away.

What has become of me?

Lalliella · 30/04/2021 00:33

🤢🤮

HypocriteHunter · 30/04/2021 00:36

I wasn’t addressing you apoo - so it isn’t me that is ‘silly’

I wasn’t making it a competition either. Did I say Meghan? No.

I’m merely saying we don’t know what is real or what is not. How do we know? We don’t. To say anything is fake is silly because we don’t know.

In my line of work, we show a range of emotions. It happens. A coping mechanism if you like. If we bottle emotions up, we are likely to break eventually. And then we are no use to those we have a duty to do our best for.

A cheery smile on our face all the time would be inappropriate.

Sallyandsam · 30/04/2021 00:36

I can’t believe the spiteful people on here stating spurious internet rumours as fact.

The anti-monarchy brigade clutching at straws.

littlepattilou · 30/04/2021 00:51

I love them. Smile

pinkmagnolias · 30/04/2021 00:53

I can’t believe the spiteful people on here stating spurious internet rumours as fact

Except they aren’t just internet rumours.
Giles Coren!s tweet wasn’t shut down quickly enough!

Flaxmeadow · 30/04/2021 00:57

Some forelock tuggers love it .

I'm not a monarchist but I think this is unfair. The royals are popular across the world, with all kinds of people from all kinds of backgrounds

Whatever you think of them, they are a brand promoting a global product. They are promoting this country, in other words us. The film is part of that message. We have some great historical buildings and natural scenery, a long coastline and why not show it off and why not encourage our own tourist industry

One poignant moment I thought was when, (I think) George? Looked at the beach from the sand dunes but of course couldnt run down and mix with the other people down on the beach. None of them can for security reasons of course, but they didn't seem to let it detract from their fun day out. I thought the film captured that moment well

Backstreetsbackalrightdadada · 30/04/2021 01:08

I’m not a royalist and would love to not fund them, but god I hate this zeal to believe Will had an affair. Because Giles Coren tweeted it, because a friend of a friend in Norfolk said it’s true? Jesus get a life. How vile when his wife puts up with shit like this, and if anything happened I’m a Bey fan and she took him back and we don’t know what Kate did if any of that is true. So WEIRD and cruel to speculate, because either he’s innocent or isn’t and it hurt his wife whose marriage you’re gossiping about.

And FYI no I wouldn’t stand for it with MM and Harry (Harry I think is a chump and MM too good for him). People speculating about them and their marriage drives me up the wall.

Seriously it’s just so wrong Envy ... not envy!!

I also say this as someone who has been cheated on... so if any of it was true imagine going through all that with you lot gossiping about it with glee. Or it’s not and a slur against him. Seriously get some decency.

Backstreetsbackalrightdadada · 30/04/2021 01:10

Btw I’ll repeat it cos I’m definitely thinking this is some posh trend! Can see others going in for this video thing, not for me but it’s quite sweet! Sometimes you realise you have thousands of photos and no videos of loved ones, i quite like it!

Maggiesfarm · 30/04/2021 01:26

I like it too, Backstreet, but a lot of people do that already.

The Cambridge's family film was made in Norfolk. It's lovely up there and Holkham beach stretches for miles with sand dunes on the shore. I've been there many times, one of my favourite places.

Anordinarymum · 30/04/2021 01:32

It's like a soap opera. A PR stunt to boost popularity in the wake of recent royal scandals.

Wiredforsound · 30/04/2021 01:34

Looks like the intro to a horror flick.

OneKeyAtATime · 30/04/2021 01:40

It's like those Xmas family letters. How tacky.

Ritascornershop · 30/04/2021 03:20

There’s so many very wealthy people out there who are just very very rich without the bother of lack of privacy. For the forseeable there’s a Royal Family and I’d rather it was these two than some of their relatives. The kids seem happy, Kate does a flawless job, he seems bright enough.

I also find it nice, with the car crash my life has been with a very irresponsible exh, to see a woman who has got the life she seems to have wanted. She does the right thing and is rewarded, unlike a lot of us. I find this reassuring.

indiakulfi · 30/04/2021 04:19

I thought it shows how out of touch they are when life is so hard for many and they post a video of their privileged life.

lollipoprainbow · 30/04/2021 04:37

The daily mail has about twenty fawning articles on this today totally over the top, not to mention various spiteful articles pitting them against Meghan and Harry.

LuvMyBubbles · 30/04/2021 04:57

@DeusEx

I thought it was incredibly cringe and posey. Looked like a Biden advert.
Agree

They don't look 'privileged' in that video, they are just a family enjoying a day out. If we didn't know who they were, they could be anyone. Dressed ordinarily, doing ordinary things outdoors.

They aren't the types to flaunt their privilege.

Anne1958 · 30/04/2021 05:03

I thought it was great.

PiccalilliChilli · 30/04/2021 05:15

Cringy but then I have a very hard heart Grin

AlexaNeverListens · 30/04/2021 05:18

I liked it. It was refreshing to see something happy after a horrible year.

There are some very bitter people on here. I can't imagine watching something like that and being left enraged by it 🤷‍♀️

picturesandpickles · 30/04/2021 05:54

@OneKeyAtATime

Yes agree. It isn't normal to post a video of your 'normal' life, it's just promotional material.
YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 30/04/2021 06:02

@noreenn

Gosh, what a lovely, wholesome, beautiful family they are. I aspire to be like them! This is a piss take, yes?!

Not at all. I think Carole Middleton has done fabulously well and Kate never puts a foot wrong. The Cambridge children seem lovely, polite and really well brought up. They’re always perfectly turned out as well!

You aspire to be like another family?! The Royal Family - a family we know nothing truly about except the snippets their PR team releases - inspires you?

Bloody hell, the Monarchy Machine has worked.

OverByYer · 30/04/2021 06:13

Gosh there are some miserable people in here.

picturesandpickles · 30/04/2021 06:21

@OverByYer

Gosh there are some miserable people in here.
I don't think it miserable to view marketing material as marketing material.

I don't wish them any ill but that facts are that the purpose of that video is to ensure they retain high approval ratings amongst the British public. It is part of an ongoing PR process, which is planned by/with their paid PR staff.

I am always surprised by the number of people who think the images we see of the RF are real in any meaningful sense. Think about all the things you are not seeing in that video, for example all the paid staff who are around them every day. That video has been carefully framed for your viewing. If it was 'natural' then we would see the make up person, the servants etc. They are purposefully kept out of shot.
