Palace appoints external lawyers to probe MM bullying...

Last week, in the lead up to Meghan and Harry’s eagerly anticipated Oprah interview, Palace sources were quoted as saying that the Palace was “prepared to retaliate with fresh disclosures about the couple’s behaviour if the monarchy is attacked”.

Great, so what next

External lawyers to probe bullying by other royals?
External lawyers to probe racism within RF?
External lawyers to probe whether there was disability discrimination in denying support for mental health?
External lawyers to problem Andrews behaviour and whether it broke public code of conduct (not criminal investigation, but did he bring us into disrepute type of stuff)?

Is this a vendetta or is RF finally going to be be subject to public accountability?

Seriously even the stories in the press now only have a racial slant. Before it was all look at these racist headlines from the UK. Of course once those headlines are proven to be from outside the UK or completely edited. All they have now is the stories with a racial slant. Which is what they should have said before because at least that has some truth.

They're just so cute and Kate is a wonderful Mum

How do we concluded she is a wonderful mum? Because the kids are cute? Because she has several nannies? Because she doesn't work?
Because they are well dressed?

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 17/03/2021 16:41

The difference between the leaks is that the royal family has hundreds of employees. Yes they are supposed to keep quiet and sign to that. However leaks happened. A lot of the leaks around the wedding came from source like one of the florists. People gossip and have opinions. You can't actually stop that. Haz and Me-gain are telling people about private emails and phone calls. That is very different.

BasiliskStare · 17/03/2021 16:44

Honestly honestly I am bored of those two now - they want to go and earn their own money - let them Lovely for them - I do not give 2 hoots how much money their house it worth - but unfortunately they seem to have kept the thing going by throwing out accusations ( i.e. racism ) which can the RF let lie ? How do you properly investigate it if it is a conversation which H won't talk about. I wish they would just go and earn their money & stop using the RF for publicity and just let Harry at least make up with his family.

Roussette · 17/03/2021 18:27

To be honest, when someone uses ridiculous and derogatory nicknames for two individuals (see above), I take no notice of the post.

We call Catherine by her proper name (or Kate even), William, Charles, Anne etc. Why not Harry and Meghan, even if you don't like them. It just diminishes your post into nonsense.

MarieDelaere · 17/03/2021 18:58

I guess we're in KPMG territory?

An organisation I was in at a senior level had a problem with behaviour. The CEO commissioned a well-known organisation to carry out an investigation.

It was a farce.

The people who had been intimidated and discriminated against felt re-victimised and exposed; and the people responsible for the shitty behaviour used it as a power-play to shut people up.

The conclusions were wishy-washy, expensive, and as far from a 'teachable moment' as one could get.

The only good thing that came out of it, for me, was that it helped me make the decision to walk away from the whole toxic mess.

I do feel for Meghan Sussex and Catherine Cambridge in this. What investigator or investigation will ever be able to determine an objective truth from two such exposed individual women situated in an inherently patriarchal, traditional institution? They spend much of their lives watching their backs.

*I don't know if these are their preferred names.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 17/03/2021 20:25

So the RF are like the catholic church now?

Well, they're stinking rich, obtain their money from others, lie like they breathe, use obsessive secrecy and are utterly unaccountable

Yes, I can see parallels there ...

Its strange that on a thread about bullying people go down that route. Reminds me of school bullies.

I completely agree with this. People who do it in a political context really aggravate me too.
Roussette · 17/03/2021 20:58

I agree Samcro

Ironic isn't it....

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 17/03/2021 21:03

You can't bully someone that you don't now and have never met on a thread. Unless you are hoping Haz and Me-gain are on this thread.

I refuse after the Gayle King commentary to ever use their real names again. Before the stupid interview the last time I took any interest in the royal family was Diana's wedding. I was about 8. If they want attention they have got it. Doesn't mean it will be positive though. The sooner they cancel themselves the better.

TatianaBis · 17/03/2021 21:11

Well that’s not true is it. Online trolling and abuse is abuse whether you have actually met the person or not.

It’s more mad if you haven’t met them, obviously, but it’s no less abusive.

CathyorClaire · 17/03/2021 21:16

So the RF are like the catholic church now?

Well, they're not above supporting their sex offender friends and acquantainces are they?

You can only troll someone that is reading the threads. Again do you people believe they are reading or posting on mumsnet. Plus some people have been calling other posters racist for daring to say the don't believe. That is nasty vile abuse. Get your priorities right.

Of course unless people think they pair are like Tinkerbell if you don't clap and say I believe they disappear 😂😂😂

Roussette · 17/03/2021 21:20

That's a good one. It's not bullying because they're not on here reading it and you haven't met them.
And even more ironic given there's a programme about Caroline Flack on tonight. I doubt her friends and family would agree with you.

Well one of them has done but we don't know what the rest knew. Plus the ones getting spoken about now are to young to blame or were not married into the family at the time. You can't blame people for being related to scum.

It is bullying. Even high school kids can bully a kid online without including the kid who they are bullying

You're right, I forgot that one ... so add to the list of similarities the point that the RF have not one but two princes who are quite keen on keeping the company of paedophiles
TatianaBis · 17/03/2021 21:33

You can only troll someone that is reading the threads. Again do you people believe they are reading or posting on mumsnet.

Says who? That’s how you justify abuse is it?

If there’s one thing we’ve learnt surely it’s that people are more than aware when they’re receiving abuse across the internet (and in this case in the tabloids too). It all adds up to an aggregation of abuse.

Again you seem to believe they are on this thread 😂
TatianaBis · 17/03/2021 21:35

Blueberries is right. You want to be a bully fine, at least own it.

And to be fair even high school kids know this stuff.

Blueberries0112 · 17/03/2021 21:36

I actually don’t. But bullying does spread like wildfire

TatianaBis · 17/03/2021 21:38

Did you read my post?

People aware of online bullying even if they’re not reading every comment.
