Last week, in the lead up to Meghan and Harry’s eagerly anticipated Oprah interview, Palace sources were quoted as saying that the Palace was “prepared to retaliate with fresh disclosures about the couple’s behaviour if the monarchy is attacked”.

Great, so what next

External lawyers to probe bullying by other royals?
External lawyers to probe racism within RF?
External lawyers to probe whether there was disability discrimination in denying support for mental health?
External lawyers to problem Andrews behaviour and whether it broke public code of conduct (not criminal investigation, but did he bring us into disrepute type of stuff)?

Is this a vendetta or is RF finally going to be be subject to public accountability?

Is making unproven allegations about people within MN guidelines?

Libellous or a cynical attempt to get the thread shut down?

Afraid I am going to have to start doing what Piers bloody Morgan is doing after the stuff Gayle King said.

From now on I will only refer to them as Haz and Me-gain. Quite frankly they don't deserve any more respect than that.

As long they can return the money they profited off of it back to the people. (One article says it brought in tourism)

It's funny. I used to be obsessed with royal news and gossip.

I no longer want to know or hear anything about this family. I hope after QE, they will dissolve and maybe catchup for the occasional traditional tv telecast or appear in Hello.

I can't stomach that in the world we live in, the tragedies that this family exists on public money.

I also think it's morally wrong for the public to support a family like that with the Cambridge's children. If we know what those children will be subjected to and sacrifice and that they and their partners subject to psychological warfare they why ? I can't stomach three gorgeous kids growing up like that in politics and marrying women/men who will be diminished for the 'greater food's

As for Harry & Meghan - really like them, admire them for speaking out. I hope they do well in the US & have a happy family & build a new lasting legacy for their kids over there.

However In not prepared to watch the Cambridge's and Sussexes play it out for ego, pride and position. I think the Sussexes have every right to fight for their rights and reputation but I just don't want to witness it. There's far more upsetting things happening.

I think it's time the royals family stopped leaning on the public.

The rest of the family either quietly op out of public life or do what Michelle Obama has spoken about. Service to their country. They bring in a lot of business and help build contacts abroad. As well as highlighting and encouraging organisations or people that are doing good. That is their job in the modern world.

They're just so cute and Kate is a wonderful Mum. You know I can't really get my head around how she with her family & normal background & knowing both sides, could let her children become part of it. If I had to guess...She seems resentful of having time away from them to be royal. I remember her face in car the day the sussex news broke before her birthday. I think in a heartbeat she'd be a normal Mum with William.

I think they're trapped because the royal family is part of their ego/pride/self worth & the money would be a complete mess - the finances and how to look after al the extended family.

I think at the end of the day they're not accountable. Prince Andrew was not questioned by police.

They have far too much power and connections - we can't know how much they influence media/parliament/politicians because we aren't privy to that. It's too much power for such a clandestine and unanswerable institution to have.

Maybe they aren't guilty of human rights crimes like a dictatorship but I don't think 'emotional abuse' of female and low ranking family members would be far fetched.

I never got over how Catholic Church ignored the abused on deaf children in the US . They all wanted to sweep it under the rug.

There are endless leaks from 'highly placed sources' inside Buckingham Palace on every incident going on - hence the leaks on the tiara MM never got to wear and the crying over the bridesmaids fittings etc. Clearly they came from inside the palace - yet MM talks to a pal in the media about 'unproductive' conversations and all hell breaks loose!

I want shut of the lot of the royal parasites - but let's be even handed in the criticism and reporting.
