@Oldbutstillgotit I agree. Lots of space and fresh air and privacy. I don't imagine you get a lot of drones over the Balmoral estate.

FiveTwoFaster · 04/08/2020 23:16

I think PA was probably due to accompany her to church anyway - he lives the nearest, has / had the least to do “professionally” of her children, is single, has adult children who live away, blah blah. He may have thought it would be a triumphant photo after his all too Andrew-esque interview of arrogance and expectations of “oh I seeeeeee - you don’t remember meeting the lying, opportunistic trollop teenager let alone banging her nine ways from Sunday - marvellous, expect she made it up - tell me about your “heroism” in the Falklands last century again ?”

I don’t think HMQ has spontaneous visits ever in her diary and after the PR disaster of this interview dawning, she probably said with some steel he was coming with her to church (let’s face it, he could do with some time in church anyway) and was a mother with her disgraced son, standing up for him by carrying on as normal (she rides with him in the Great Park a lot publicly too, not just as a photo op) but while she did that as a mother..... as CEO of the family firm: he has been sacked and told to STFU. Whatever her personal feelings, he no longer represents her professionally and has lost the ££ associated with that.

It must be hard to be Queen, be 90 odd with whatever age related ailments she might have, have a god awful pig of a son who is really way more embarrassing than a mere adulterer (Charles plus two in laws) and keep on top of the job of keeping the monarchy going while you’re alive. She probably wants to just sit in an armchair with a rug over her knees and watch the racing.

Has anyone wishes Meghan Happy Birthday yet?

Tezza1 · 05/08/2020 00:25

Roussette - "Princess Anne did refuse to stand in line to 'receive' Trump and Melania."

I have absolutely no idea how accurate it is, but this is the first reply that comes up underneath that video:
BTW the heading is rather misleading as it was the Princess Royal who escorted the Trumps into the room. She would therefore have met them already

mrscampbellblackagain · 05/08/2020 06:53

I read an interview with Emily Matlis a couple of weeks ago and it was clear that PA thought the interview had gone well. Which really surprised me!

I suspect what happened afterwards in terms of press and being relieved of all his duties came as a massive shock to him.

Roussette · 05/08/2020 07:56

Ummm not sure. I am only reporting what was in the Press at the time. It was literally everywhere. Disclaimer - the press often gets it wrong.
Let me rephrase it for you.
'Princess Anne may have met Trump and Melania in an ante room but when gestured over by the Queen, she shrugged her shoulders and stayed in the doorway'
Voila!

Haven't noticed but I'll start the ball rolling...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Meghan!

Just the press? Really?

Roussette · 05/08/2020 08:26

Not sure what you are asking so can't answer, sorry. We were talking about the Press I thought. No idea.

@WurraBurra

Has anyone wishes Meghan Happy Birthday yet?
Clarence House, Kensington Palace and The Royal Family all posted a photograph of Meghan, alongside their birthday wishes.

Real class.

WurraBurra · 05/08/2020 08:41

I meant has Harry wished her a Happy Birthday publicly? I’m sure he did last year via SussexRoyal

They’re not on social media anymore. Which is a relief.

OVienna · 05/08/2020 10:19

Dare I say it, it's not looking 'such an amazing journey' anymore!

Does this video have anything to do with this thread? Well, it mentions GM.

Wolfgirrl · 05/08/2020 10:23

@OVienna what journey?

I'm finding a lot of posts on here to be quite cryptic and I cant follow them!

The journey Harry mentions on last year's birthday video for Meghan.

OVienna · 05/08/2020 10:26

I clicked on the Insta link that Wurra posted, Harry's b-day greetings from last year. "Thank you for joining me on this amazing journey" or some such, love 'H'.

[/quote] I don’t know. They’ve been holidaying in Canada and LA staying in mega mansions and not doing very much work so I would say that is a journey!
WindsorBlues · 05/08/2020 10:35

Channel 5 have just reported the outcome of the five friends being revealed.... drum roll... Ruling: judge Mr Justice Warby says the friends will remain anonymous ‘for the time being at least’

In the interest in truth here you go

www.theguardian.com/uk-news/video/2019/dec/04/queen-gestures-at-princess-anne-for-not-greeting-donald-trump-video

YouSayWhat · 05/08/2020 10:44

I’m sure Princess Anne and the Queen were at cross purposes over the gesture. I seem to recall something being written at the time.

Where is everyone? I thought we were all happy with this thread?

Roussette · 05/08/2020 11:00

I only linked the youtube vid, as something to just be amused at with PAnne. It was just so mother and daughter like!

I can imagine the Queen gets impatient with things with her children, just like we all do!

Whoknowswhatsgoingon · 05/08/2020 11:19

I am sure the AN will name the 5 friends when it gets to court as they will be called upon to give evidence.

ajandjjmum · 05/08/2020 11:22

Prince Philip will be taking part in the VJ Day celebrations on 15/8. Good to hear! I didn't realise, but apparently he was on a ship in the Tokyo area on VJ Day. Wonder if he met Tom Moore?! Smile
