Shame on the RF

Snog · 05/04/2020 16:32

What right does the queen have to address the nation when the RF have been openly breaking the rules on Coronavirus regarding non essential travel, using second homes and not observing social distancing and isolation.

RF is an embarrassment, hoarding resources and setting a dreadful self entitled example to their "subjects".

ffs if there's ever been a time for a revolution. What complete interbred benefit fuckwits.
You can't argue they aren't Grin

Alialialiali · 05/04/2020 22:26

Theyre an embarrassment for sure. if they had any decency theyd donate their wealth to support the poorest instead of giving meaningless speeches to make themselves feel important. After all theyve been sponging off the nation their whole lives.

LavenderQuartz · 05/04/2020 22:28

even if they "donated their wealth' it would make little long term difference to an ongoing problem

it wasn't a meaningless speech either

Alialialiali · 05/04/2020 22:33

@LavenderQuartz
lol so you basically have no point. Shes just a celebrity...i.e pointless. If I wanted a pep talk I`d lke to hear more from the heroes at the nhs ie. people helping out the needy, not the richest scroungers in the country

LavenderQuartz · 05/04/2020 22:35

well we aren't all you are we....thank god!

Lindy2 · 05/04/2020 22:41

Her speech will have helped a lot of people feel a bit better at a very difficult time.

If you don't like the royals OP don't watch. We don't need your moaning and negativity.

Chloemol · 05/04/2020 22:45

@Alialialiali suggest you do some more research and get your facts right before making such sweeping statements

They were in their other homes before lockdown, so are in fact staying where they should, unlike Scotland’s CMO

As an essential worker, HMtQs speech was a tiny boost. She didn't have to make the speech, she could have stayed quiet holed up at Windsor. It was nice to be acknowledged. It won't pay for PPE or stop people sunbathing in public parks but it cheered me up, just a smidge.

I've thought for a number of years now, that if ever the citizens of this country were called upon again to come together and fight a war again like we did in WWll, then there would be a lot of people would would not co-operate for the common good.

You have just proved my point OP. It's people like you that will drag this country down.

How do you know that the Queen hasn't been observing social distancing?

Some people just aren't happy unless they're moaning about something.

she’s great but her heirs are a disgrace. Kate and wills should be in london ideally doing something useful. Charles traveller to Scotland whilst symptomatic!

Devlesko · 05/04/2020 23:33

Did she really say "a disruption that has brought grief to some, financial difficulties to many, and enormous changes to the daily lives of us all.’

Erm, how has she been affected at all? Why is she including herself in there?

calpolatdawn · 06/04/2020 00:24

i like the lady but erm, it was nice of her to join us Hmm bit late imo.

What a stupid question. Ofcourse its affected her too. Theres noone this hasnt affected in some way She can do her usual engagements and cant see her family. She might be the Queen but I'm quite sure she misses her family just like the rest of us.

DarnedSocks · 06/04/2020 00:33

London is their second home. That's where they stay for work. Their personal homes, where they choose to live, are where they are now. It's not the Royals who pursued an initial herd immunity policy. Nor are they responsible for thirty years of both Labour and the Conservatives running down the NHS.

Snog · 06/04/2020 07:59

Sorry to the forelock doffers royalists I have upset I'm just amazed there are any left

@Snog not addressing any of the valid points raised then?

Snog · 06/04/2020 08:21

@Nishky if the speech helped you at this difficult time then I'm genuinely pleased for you. We all need all the help we can get.

Personally I found it unhelpful and inappropriate and hard to fathom why the RF has any supporters left in modern Britain.

OP posts:
RedRed9 · 06/04/2020 09:57

@snog like you said: if it helps people then great.

You obviously feel like it doesn’t help you. So can I suggest you just don’t tune in next time?
