Boris and Carrie enjoying themselves. Nothing phases him Grin

BBC commentator saying that Harry and Meghan aren't leaving the royal family. Erm, I think they are... Confused

Puzzledandpissedoff · 09/03/2020 16:17

Harry did say hello to William as William took his seat, but it all looked very awkward

Well, yes; they'd hardly fling their arms round each other in such a setting, but the froideur was sadly very obvious

Should H&M decide to backtrack and return to royal duties, I really cannot see the rifts and damage they’ve wrought ever being healed.
I think Harry’s going to have a very hard time drifting along behind Meghan (it seems to already have decided she goes first at events). I do wonder what the impact on his MH will be.
I also think William and Catherine are adopting an onwards and upwards attitude and that Harry no longer comes on their radar, hardly surprising really.
Sophie is definitely a huge asset to the Royal family and her outfit today completely outshone all the others.

YgritteSnow · 09/03/2020 16:20

Oof! That was frosty between the brothers and their wives wasn't it? ❄️

caperberries · 09/03/2020 16:23

With Andrew in disgrace and H&M gone, I imagine Edward and Sophie's profile will be rising

MissEliza · 09/03/2020 16:23

I had a feeling that Kate would wear something safe that we'd seen before, knowing MM would be trying very hard to hog the limelight with hers.

Dongdingdong · 09/03/2020 16:23

And they've gone! (I'm watching slightly behind on iPlayer). I wonder when we'll see them next.

ajandjjmum · 09/03/2020 16:30

I'm sure she's got her next pap shoots booked Dongdingdong!

Winterlife · 09/03/2020 16:56

I thought Camilla’s outfit was beautiful and she looks great in navy. However, she could use more supportive undergarments.

Personally, I didn’t like Sophie’s dress, though it looked good in her.

Kate’s coat was spectacular and she looked flawless. I agree with a PP that the colour isn’t the best in her. I didn’t like her hat, but it picked up all the colours in her outfit, so spectacular from that perspective.

I didn’t like the cape on MM’s dress and it was I’ll fitting, but the colour was spectacular on her. I didn’t like the shape of her hat, but again, it looked great in her, really brought out her eyes.

I loved HM’s hat and she, as usual, looked flawless.

I don’t think Harry looked sad. To me, he just seems over it all. I don’t think they will settle in Canada. Everything they’ve done suggests their target audience is Americans.

Winterlife · 09/03/2020 16:57

^on her. Mobile and fat fingers.

Winterlife · 09/03/2020 16:58

Oh and ill fitting. Damn autocorrect.

Snog · 09/03/2020 16:59

Such a shame that the royal men don't make the same effort with their outfits as it seems weird only to be commenting on the women.

CatherineOfAragonsPomegranate · 09/03/2020 17:02

It is indeed textbook. So textbook I'm not surprised people think it cannot be so.

FiveTwoFaster · 09/03/2020 17:03

Kate is steel - she managed to do light chatter for the photographers at Wimbledon and the Christmas walk before last so it is surprising she isn’t prepared to do it again. She and Meghan getting out their best acting friendly would put a lot to bed. But she’s not having it.

Tsukukuviri · 09/03/2020 17:04

@Winterlife

That comment about Camilla made me laugh nicely, not snarkily) 😆 You are definitely consistent. Maybe Cam should ask M where she got her Spanx!

It was a lovely service, and so great that H and M leave after this high profile family event, which makes it clear that whatever they do now, they still have their family.

Good luck to them!

Bellehare099 · 09/03/2020 17:05

William looked great and Charles always makes an effort. HM looked very sweet and enjoyed her quite animated chat with the tall boxer. He also very sweetly bent quite low towards her. Camilla wore a great hat; in fact everything about her was great. She, like Sophie, is such an asset to the RF.

PelicanPie · 09/03/2020 17:05

But she’s not having it.

No, and neither was Sophie in my view. I'm sure they are furious on behalf of the Queen as well as William etc. It's the end of the line and they aren't playing the game any longer. M was desperately still putting the game face on but all the other players have gone backstage.

And to think Camilla was once the most hated woman in Britain.

PelicanPie · 09/03/2020 17:06

Interesting that Harry came to life whilst talking to the children outside. Perhaps he is just so over it all and desperate to be off.

Bellehare099 · 09/03/2020 17:06

Harry didn’t look sad but he did wear his recently habitual petulant face. Is it too late for him to be taught some manners?

DeRigueurMortis · 09/03/2020 17:07

Sophie nailed her outfit as did HMQ.

Catherine looked lovely but it's not my favourite shade of red on her - prefer something less burgundy (more a true red).

Camilla looked great - loved her hat especially.

I didn't like M's dress - colour or style to be honest. It's a shame as I loved the white outfit and red dress (less keen on the blue one - looked a bit corporate but it was smart). She's a very attractive woman but that dress/cape just swamped her imho.

Edward wins the prize for cutting through awkwardness by being animated/chatty to H&M and W&K sat in front.

I'd love to see Edward and Sophie become more high profile (and for her to get a top tier tiara!).

PelicanPie · 09/03/2020 17:08

I thought Kate looked utterly lovely. Camilla's dress didn't quite cut it for me.

Wills did look smirky, walking in the procession as it exited. I don’t blame him for feeling he played his part well, however. Good for him.

In contrast, his brother’s petulance, for something of his own making, is pitiful.
