I think Meghan upstaged the other one's wedding too by announcing her pregnancy lol. When is Beatrice getting married?

I remember at the time the media reporting about upstaging but since I haven't been married yet, I don't really get it. But I guess if all eyes are taken from you, it must hurt maybe. Apparently Fergie insta'd and such the next day when all that was being covered was the new pregnancy.

She could at least have given her her day.

It was petty and childish. And attention seeking.

Poor Beatrice's day is already tainted by her father’s alleged behaviour. The presence of the prince and his wife will scupper it further.

I can just imagine the AIBU -

SIL announced her pregnancy at my wedding. She even wore maternity clothes, despite being only 11 weeks along, and posed with her (non-existent at the time) tummy on display in all our photos. AIBU to call her out on her bullshit?

To be fair I think whatever H&M decide about Bea’s wedding they will be slated which is a shame. I just hope she doesn’t announce another pregnancy.

I’ve been tempted to start an AIBU describing the RF situation as my own to see what those ladies who can be anything and chose to be kind, have to say when the key players are anonymised.

Oh yes 7Worfs - that would be interesting! However hard to do without people clueing in. The family is completely bat *, couldn’t make it up!

How would you crisis PR these two out of the pickle?

I’d tell them to shut down the social media, sort themselves out a house, lie low for a few months, maybe have another baby and give themselves time to actually think about what they want and whether it’s possible. And avoid any media coverage until it’s all calmed down.

Something I meant to comment on earlier when catching up.

Harry joking when suggesting MM do voiceover work for Disney. There are two videos of this.
In one, you could take it that Harry was joking. Meghan jumped in with “we only can’t here to pitch” and I took that as a joke, get covering up for her partner saying something gauche.

But in the other video, which is just Harry and the president/chairman of Disney, it’s clear Harry isn’t joking. Very very clear imo.

I think Thomas’s Battersea takes children up to aged 13.
I would imagine Kate would want all 3 of her children to go to Marlborough as she and her siblings did.

I would have said that Meghan wouldn’t come to the UK.
However that Vogue event marking IWD and the subject being “forces for change” she guest edited, looks right up her street and plenty of Insta opportunities.
I think she’ll, fly in for the Vogue bash, and be on the next plane out after The Commonwealth service.

Agree with you Fizzy ... but is so sad. Vogue doesn’t need their star power. There are so many causes out there crying for support. They just aren’t as glamorous. If only some of their time was spent on the really needy or charitable work, think we’d all be ok with a couple of glamour events here or there. But, hate to swear, seems all a bit star fu**ing.

Re. the Disney thing - I think Harry was serious and Meghan was embarrassed.

Do British men in their mid 30s say "hey" instead or "hi" and "I'm good" instead of "I'm fine"? I thought maybe younger but mid 30s?

I think H had his instructions - he pitched to the Disney boss first then Jon Favreau. I think M then felt a bit embarrassed by it but only after she said something like "that's why we're here, to pitch". Perhaps Beyonce's face gave M a reality check.

I assume that Harry was offering Meghan’s voiceover services for free, not hoping to be paid for them. Given he’d got a chunk of money off them anyway. And he thought they would be thrilled? It was awkward to watch because of everyone else’s reaction - which was that of people hearing a man ask for work for his actress wife - but obviously it’s clear Meghan doesn’t need to go back to being a jobbing actress!

He sincerely means she will do it for free. Cringey - but not actually pitching for real, personal, grocery buying money. I think. Hope. I mean of course he’s not. Right?
