Hi !
I just finished watching The documentary about Thomas Markle telling his side of the story. I just wonder if anyone else on here watched it, what are your opinions ?
I am so confused, I used to like Meghan but her father seems real to me, I would never treat my father the way she does, they truly had an excellent relationship before, Dont get it

Did William say that on the record? Confused

Or was it me of those ‘palace sources’ type comments?

You might want to read this, educate yourself a little

In any case, it’s alright for William. He married his childhood sweetheart, had had a couple of kids by that point, allegedly a bit on the side as well.

Harry on the other hand had been turned down at least twice and was probably wondering if anyone would ever marry him. Wills failed to check his privilege there.

At least Meghan was game.

Being an actor isn't good preparation for joining the royal family I guess

But what is?

On paper Diana was the best placed and she was the most disastrous of all.

Those in favour of this institution need to start thinking very hard about the circumstances they’re creating for the women who marry in. Several women turned Harry down because they couldn’t deal with the intrusion and the lifestyle. The one who was game has been torn apart by the vultures.

Harry couldn’t win here. And it’s the so called ‘fans’ and the media who created that situation for him.

@LaurieMarlow

I'm not sure how Diana was suitable. She was young, vulnerable and already inherently unstable from a very difficult childhood. I recall my beloved Aunt saying (rather dryly) at the time was her quality was that she was a virgin and they were in short supply

Aristo family. Right connections. Spent a lot of time with royals.

The problem is that marrying into the royals is a fucking nightmare, no matter who you are.

Unfortunately I think this TM debacle is a textbook example of how the RF is seriously behind the curve on managing themselves and their public image. As we all know (plenty of articles published at the time of his departure) the queen's most senior and trusted adviser of 10 years was forced out by Charles and Andrew 3 years ago. Allegedly because he was attempting to bring the households together and give them a clear united voice. (So in other words protect the RF from themselves.) He was the one who insisted Andrew step down from his business role when Epstein was first jailed years ago.

I can only imagine that advisors with any sense whatsoever would have done some serious due diligence of Meghan's background and mopped up all the family and shady characters who could cause headaches into the future before the marriage. Any advisor worth their salt would not have left that to Meghan as it was too important to get right. Actually because the Markles seemed to go quiet before the latest fallout I had assumed that the palace had finally nobbled them and exchanged hard cash for NDAs.

Clearly TM and his toxic kids are highly motivated by money and this could all have been taken care of. Even now I think Harry should arrange to get this done. I know TM is blackmailing them but his constant presence is damaging Meghan's public standing just by continuing public drama. It would be well worth the coin to shut this bloke up. It means that M & H are not getting to control their own narrative, we keep getting these toxic relatives popping up. Although the public may have sympathy there is also the suspicion of "no smoke without fire" and the sullying of the good name that toxic people count on for their social power. In normal circumstances if you moved to another country you COULD use NC against toxic relatives, but obviously that doesn't work when you are world famous.

All I could see was a selfish manipulative man who won't stop. He deserved to get NC after his photoshoot how did he repair it by making a documentary.
